His crew was professional, neat and made every effort to work with us. Brent assisted us in color selection and as a result our home looks updated and we are very pleased. I couldn't agree more with the review below me! two years ago, I had my house painted and was promised a lifetime warranty which I paid A LOT of money for and it looks really bad after two years. Recently I had Brent Garvey come out to estimate a job I needed done for my home and found myself dissatisfied with the level by which this painting company was doing their work. I had brought up a few different things that were going to be necessary and he just shook his head ""yeah yeah yeah"" and told my not to worry. Low and behold, he never even took into consideration what I had initially told him I wanted and it never got done. When I had brought it up, he acted like he had done it when I knew he had not because he was never there -- and I know he did not tell his crew (who did not speak english very well)... I got curious and looked online and found a lot of bad reviews where my fears were addressed by a lot of other people in the community who had similar problems with Brent Garvey Painting as well. My recommendation is that people actually take the time to seek out a professional painting service that is going to consider the needs of the clients and strive to do the job well. If I would have known this was the situation I would have opted to go with an earlier company I had contacted that had a slightly higher price tag. When it comes down to it -- it's important to ensure that I am going to get what I needed done RIGHT the first time rather than save a few dollars and find myself completely dissatisfied. I hope other will take the time to investigate this a little bit as well when selecting the right person to do the job -- after all, money is tight and if I want to get something done I want to make sure that it is going to be done RIGHT the first time. The first time that we hired Mr. Garvey, I insisted that he prepare the redwood siding, etc. properly. He did not. Power washing??? They didn't even sand worth a darn. Mr. Garvey has changed his practices and seems to be much more interested in providing good service. While things are not perfect, the effort has definitely improved. I hope we can continue to successfully work with Mr. Garvey in finishing a current project. Pros: Good crew. Cons: Follow through. more

We recently had all the windows in our house redone, and talked to Brent Garvey Painting about doing our paint job. We secured three bids for the painting, and Brent's price was the best of the three. With a big rain coming on the horizon, Brent mobilized his crew to get all the windows caulked before the storm hit. When the storm was over, they resumed the job. The crew was professional, courteous, and their attention to detail was superb. Brent's foreman, Luis, said to my wife ""Anything you don't like, you let me know and I'll make it right."" And boy, did they! The paint looks better than when the house was brand new. We were hesitant after seeing the two negative reviews on CitySearch, however after talking with Brent about these, he provided us with 10 recent references, which my wife called. All references checked out, and we decided that the bad reviews must be bogus. Brent visited the site regularly, kept us apprised of their progress, was professional and did what he said he would do. WOW what a great job Brent Garvey Painting did on our house. Brent and his crew did a full power wash, bleach and stain to our 35 year old redwood home. We have had this done a few times over the years and this is the best it has ever looked! We will never go with any other painters after the professional experience that we received from Brent and his crew. We just had Brent Garvey do a full repaint of the exterior of our home here in Corralitos. My wife and I were extremely impressed with the overall job. One full day of power washing, a large crew did prep work and full masking, followed by an undercoat and two finish coats. Then all the trim was done. A friendly professional crew, high grade Kelly Moore paint, and absolutely no overspray or mess when finished. Brent did a walk through this morning and found five tiny little spots he wanted fixed that we didn't even see. Highly recommended if you want a real quality repaint. Pros: Superb Paint Job more

Brent personally took the time to help me research a custom color on a home i saw on beach drive. He and his team were professional, clean, on schedule, and patient with me while i made some trim color changes at the last minute, and did not hagle over the extra time it took. His interior work staining and varnishing the pine window sills perfectly matched the 40 year old knotty pine interior of the rest of the home. I will use them again the 1st chance i get. I had my kitchen cabinets painted. The existing paint was in terrible shape. The Kitchen came out great . The paint crew cleaned up after themselves , no mess. I would recommend this company to anyone without resevation. I plan on having them paint the outside of my house next. We recently had major work done to our home. Three bedrooms, hallway, all retextured and painted. Windows and corners all bull-nosed in. Master bedroom reconfigured with new closets, flooring and trim. Lots of little fix-its here and there. Brent Garvey Painting was able to do it all! His crew were great. Brent only shows up when he needs to pick up a check. He threw a fit when I asked him to fix something his sloppy painters ruined. Unprofessional, sloppy employees. Do not hire! more

Brent Garvey painted our house a year ago and while they seemed to have done a good job at the time, a year later, the paint is cracking and pealing. They spent quite a bit of time, for which we were charged, caulking between all the siding and nearly everywhere that was done it is peeling and looks worse than if they?d just painted without the caulking. We were initially pleased with the job and didn?t mind having spent more than the other bids, feeling at the time like we were going to be getting our money?s worth, but in the end our house looks like we haven?t had it painted in years and is in need of a good painter.
