Never a disappointment 6/26/2009

I have been having my hair cut and colored by Debra at Breeze for almost three years. I get compliments all the time, have never been disappointed. The staff in the hair salon is great, but I have to mention the marvelous massage (deep tissue) and fabulous facial as well. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I appreciate the availability of a complimentary refreshment and the bonus points system. Breeze also sponsors many community events and contributes to many not-for-profit agency fundraisers. Terrible Customer Service 3/26/2009

I have tried on three separate occassions to make a first time appointment. Each and every time I called I was placed on hold for over 3 minutes!! This salon obviously doesn't need new clients. This is something that is not practiced in CA., where competition is tough and where they need and care about new clients. \r \r As a consumer, I am able to pick and choose where I want to spend my money. They DO NOT Care about the business. I have tried to contact this salon numerous times and no one has contacted me back!!\r I have been a regular client of Ashley's since last year for the second time. I was in your salon on Wednesday, 2/25/09 and I feel I was over-charged for the service provided. I made an appointment for a 5pm haircut and was back in my car at 5:15pm. Ashley cut my hair dry, then asked me if I wanted my hair washed and styled. I have never been asked this in any of my prior services. I had washed my hair that morning, so I did not see a need in the wash and style since it was offered. So, when the front desk closed me out, it was the same price?? I asked her why it was the same price since my hair was not washed nor styled. She went back to talk to Ashely and she told her to take off $5. So, instead of $55, I am paying $50 for less than 15 minute dry cut. I told her I really did not feel comfortable with paying that price with no wash or style. She went back to Ashley again and she said, ""I am a senior stylist and that is my price"". I reluctantly paid for a service I did not receive. I have been with your salon for many years, I was with you on Rock St, then the move to the smaller house. I moved away and came back last year. I am extremely disappointed and never would have thought I would have been treated like this. I keep on thinking to myself, since it was discounted $5, is your service for wash and style $5? It just does not make sense to me at all. I responded to the Contact Us on their site and never got a response. I really do not feel this is the way you value a client's business. WORST HAIRCUT EVER!! 12/22/2008

\r went for a haircut and left with the worst cut ever. one side longer than the other in the back and it was so short I couldn't get it fixed without shaving it off. For the price I paid, I was VERY disappointed. I have not been back for services but I do purchase AVEDA products there. Loving it! My niece recommended Breeze and I am so glad she did. I was scared to try a new salon but I love aveda color. The stylist matched my color perfectly and my haircut was just what I needed to feel good about myself again. I went back last week with my friend and we enjoyed our pedicures so much! HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN! 10/13/2008

So I bought a Pair of extensions that were VERY expensive and after I bought them I highlighted my hair and wanted them to match. So Itrusted them to highlight 6 Peices of extensions (I only got a partial) so they wanted to charge me $70,l my friend told me they were really good so I just said fine. They told me they would do one piece and I could come back to see if I liked the one piece, when I came back they were atleast 6 inches shorter and HORRIBLE plus I looked over and I saw ALL of them in foils, when I was expecting them to do ONE and take the rest home if I didnt like it, but when I asked for my money back they refused, they said I could have my hair extensions and I CLEARLY DID NOT want them!!!!! so they took my money and my hair extensions! It was not good, after this i had a few friends that were very upset they dont have a great reputation!!! Pros: cute decorations Cons: Horrible work ethic! more

Very unpleased! After reading some of the reviews I decided to give them a try. Bad mistake. Went in to get a hair cut and full color with highlight. Ask for basic brown with thin natural caramel highlights. After seeing the finally color I got I decided not to get the haircut! The girl knew that I was totally unhappy and said ""here let's walk into the lobby, there is better lighting"". So we went to the ""better lighting"" and saw that my hair had a green tint. She already had another customer waiting for her, so she told me ""let me get started on her and I will fix your hair"". Why should I have to wait? Anyways, I did not wait for her. I checked out, had to pay FULL price (for green tinted hair) and will never return to Breeze Salon. Nor will I ever recommed them to anyone!!! more

My New Favorite Salon!!! 8/27/2008

I went to Breeze for the first time the other day and I had a great experience. I'm not sure what happened with the other people leaving reviews, maybe they all had the same bad stylist or something. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the staff was friendly and my stylist was great. I had highlights, lowlights and a haircut and love all three. I went with a very different haircut than I had before and my stylist, Ashley, listened to exactly what I wanted and did a great job. She talked with me about the color and we decided together on something and I really like it. I will definately keep going back, I already booked my next appt. As for the other stylist, all the other haircuts I saw walk out of there also looked great. I did hear someone say that some of the staff/stylists that used to be there wasn't there anymore. Maybe the bad apples are gone now. All in all, I loved it and would recommend to my family and friends. Pros: Atmosphere, friendly stylist and staff, great products more

i went to breeze this past spring and received a great color and cut. i was very impressed and decided to go back. i have multiple friends who also use this salon. this summer one of my friends who has been going here for over a year went to get her hair colored. she always wears it naturally and has the same woman do it. for some reason this time, her stylist decided to use her head as an experiment and just went totally crazy. she had black, brown, and platinum in 3 chunks across her head. when she started to cry her stylist said she could fix it, but not just then as she had another client waiting. my friend waited days to get her hair fixed, and when she did, she ended up getting 4 foils. needless to say, this did a whole lot of nothing. she then had to pay all over again to have a different salon fix this salons VERY serious mistake. everyone who has ever had a bad dye job knows how terrible it is, and breeze didn't seem to care at all. i wearily made my own appointment, but had a change in plans and ended up moving away from georgetown in between making the appointment and the appointment itself. i called once and got an answering machine, so decided to call back, or at least wait for the confirmation call which i was promised when i booked my appointment. no confirmation call was ever made, and i forgot to call back. today while looking at my bank statement, wondering why it was so low, i found a charge from $160 from breeze. this credit card was not given to them over the phone, it was used from the last time i was in the salon. this policy was not mentioned to me on the phone. while i understand certain salons have this policy, i felt it was used in a sneaky manner. my phone conversation with them promised a confirmation call and said nothing about a missed appointment fee (OF THE ENTIRE AMOUNT). so while you might end up with a good haircut, if you're one of the not so rare people who has to deal with the salon in another capacity, it's not worth it. Pros: certain stylists are very talented Cons: unpredictable results (with same stylist), terrible customer service, sneaky business practices more

I have got both hair and spa services at Breeze and both were amazing!! The front desk was extremely friendly and accomodated me the very next day! It is so nice to see a friendly face nowadays. My stylist listen to what I wanted and even suggested some great ideas as well. My hair turned out even better than I imagined! I received a ton of compliments the next day. I am extremely picky with my hair and it was great to go to a salon that gave me exactly what I wanted! Thank goodness there is a fantastic, Aveda salon in Georgetown! Breeze ""rocks my socks off!!!"" 7/24/2008

So I just went to Breeze last night after going through a handful of other salons & stylists. Let me just tell you, that this place is wonderful.\r \r From the time you walk in and smell all of the Aveda products, you know you're in a good place. The hot tea was the perfect way to relax after work and before the cut & color. \r \r I wanted something different, a little more bold... Basically just told Jaime that I was looking for a change. And this girl is amazing!!! I have exactly the color I wanted with the right cut to suit it. I didn't do the normal everyday hair. Jaime truly is an artist.\r \r If you want the everyday cut & color, this place can do it with ease. If you want something different, bold, fun, out of the ordinary... you can relax and know that they can handle that too, & do a great job of it.\r \r I'm definately coming back to see Jaime next time I need anything done and will highgly recomend her and the salon to anyone that is looking. I'm really glad I took a chance on this place. more

I love it!!! 6/14/2008

I can hardly believe this place has received a bad review. Have you tried any of the other salons in Georgetown?? Don't bother!!! This is place is wonderful. The staff is friendly and courteous. My stylist is absolutely wonderful; she gives me the exact cut and color I want and has never ever fried my hair which is more than I can say for other places. I've had a very good massage there, extremely relaxing and my pedicures are fabulous!!! And then of course, Aveda products are the best. Thank God for Breeze because now I don't have to go into Austin for the quality and service I expect from a good salon and day spa. Horrible Service... 6/10/2008

I went in to schedule an appointment at Breeze, the receptionist placed me down for an appointment at 4 PM for the next day. I come in the following day on time, and the receptionist, along with about 4 other stylists/employees stood around dumbfounded after realizing that they had doublebooked my appointment. Another woman came in, who had apparently scheduled her appointment for the same time THAT DAY (whereas I had scheduled mine the day before) was given the appointment over me. They took about 15 minutes to even say anything to me, they stood around, with blank faces, and finally did offer an appointment to be rescheduled the following day. I turned them down, I realize the doublebooking happens, but I feel like I was treated unfairly, and am annoyed with the whole experience. Wish I could say how they cut hair... but I won't be trying to go there again. Cons: HORRIBLE SERVICE more

I have been their several times and walked out dissapointed and going somewhere else right away. So, been there done that more than once (benefit of the doubt deal) convieniant place to purchase Aveda products though. Hairstylist do their own thing and are super inexperienced...just get the products not the services. Staff treats you rude when you want your hair fixed after its been jacked..... more

I just moved here and was so happy that I found this place so I don't have to drive so far. I received compliments on my color the next day at work and referred my neighbor as well. Great Experience! I love aveda color and my stylist has always been friendly and does just what I asked. The front desk was helpful and went out of their way to make me happy. HORRIBLE! 6/24/2007

This is one of the worst places I have ever gone to! I asked for caramel chunky highlights and I wound up with 3 platinum chunks. The stylist left me under the dryer for about 45 min... For those of you who do not know, most highlighting bleach is made to NOT go under the dryer any more because of how bad it is for your hair. If it is made to go under a dryer it is only supposed to be under there for 15 min. (I know this cause I am a hair stylist myself) My hair was fried! And it was not just the one stylist. There was a ""senior"" stylist helping her out. Then I told her EXACTLY how I wanted my hair cut. A blunt cut shorter in the back then just a little razor cutting in the back. It was the exact same cut I had. Well she did not listen. She did her own thing. She added layers and WAY over thinned my hair. Then when she did the b low dry she put way to many products in my hair. I walked out of their looking like a greasy monkey. Even the receptionist looked at me like their was some wild plant growing on top of my head. This is one of the WORST places to go. I got a better hair cut at Cost Cutters. This is the worst salon I have ever been to. Cons: stylist are not trained well more

Wonderful Facials 12/4/2006

My mother swears by this place. She got a gift certificate for a facial and after that one treatment couldn't stop raving. I am now getting her another gift certificate for Christmas. \r \r Salons and Hair Stylists are always hit/miss. Don't slam the establishment because of one bad stylist. more

I don't understand how Aveda can have anything to do with these people. This was the worst experience I have ever had, I would have been better off going to super cuts. In case you didn't notice G'town, TX doesn't have anything in common with NYC, including this salon. The stylist took 3-4 inches off my hair when I asked for a trim, and gave me the hair cut that I said I hated. When I called to complain and get a refund, so I could have someone try to fix my hair, the whole experience went down hill. When I say down hill I really mean off a cliff. From my experience I don't see that they train anyone in the art of customer service or business operation. Not even how to put the phone on hold (big red hold button might be a good start.) When I called for the second time, just min. later, and spoke to the Manager, there was no one there that could help me, not even her. So, I called later that evening and surprise, no one that could help me. I was told that they would call the owner, and have someone call me back in a few min. Well, someone called me back, but not the owner. After, a brief explanation, the lady said that she was the one that checked me out and that she asked me if I like my hair cut, and that I said yes and that I seemed excited about it and even asked for a card and the stylist name. Umm, did you ever think that I might want that information to complain about her, and what would you do if I didn?t like it, you can?t glue it back on? Anyway, she said that she was not going to give me a refund until she saw my hair, because some people might call and ask for a refund just to get a free hair cut, basically calling me a liar. Who would want this crappy hair cut with one section noticeably longer then the rest and being exactly what I didn't want! My point is it's not worth is, if you want a breezes cut just pay what it is really worth and go to super cuts. Pros: NONE! Cons: skill, service recovery, just about everything more
