We just arrived home from a good dinner at Brazzaz, and a thoroughly disappointing experience with the management staff. \r
\r
We agree with the proposition that the food here is very good. I loved the mushroom risotto and the cheese tortellini, my girlfriend went back twice for more oysters. We sampled a lot of the meat, all of it was quite good, although, to be fair, I thought that the filet mignon and the garlic steak were both a bit overcooked. But, still tasty. \r
\r
The big disappointment was with the management. As we sat down, we asked our waiter if our coupon for a free dinner was valid for tonight's dinner. He assured us that it was; another waiter confirmed this. \r
\r
As we prepared to pay, however, we were told that our coupon could not be honored because today is President's Day.\r
\r
We explained our story, that we asked specifically for the OK from the wait staff, to the manager. He was TOTALLY unconcerned with this fact, and the fact that it is also my birthday tonight, and that we were one of the last tables remaining in the restaurant. We ended up having to pay full price for our food.\r
\r
Honestly, money is not the issue here. We are both professionally employed and can more than afford the cost of the bill. But we thought we would try a new place because of the coupon. We were told that the coupon was valid, but then the management staff changed its mind as we were about to pay. \r
\r
This is not proper marketing, or proper customer service. We were extremely disappointed with the fact that management was unconcerned with our situation, and unwilling to honor the coupon.
Pros: Interesting concept
Cons: Ridiculous, inflexible management policies
