This type of dining is so enjoyable. It allows you to leisurely eat with your dining companions and try some new things that aren't available anywhere else. Everyone found something new to try from their exotic food bar. When it was time for the main course, servers came one at a time to supply the table with 12 different cuts of meat and cinnamon grilled pineapple (insanely good!). You decide how much is enough, of course the men at our table like this part of the course and requested several of their favorite cuts several times. It was so nice to have good company, good food and really enjoy my dining experience. I'm looking forward to my next visit! Pros: Food, Ambience, Service more

BRASA is PERFECT! 4/12/2006

BRASA is PERFECT ! The restaurant is exciting from the second you walk through the doors highlighted with large FLAME TORCHES. The staff is very attractive, knowledgable and professional. Dinner begins with a large selection of EXOTIC APPETIZERS/SALADS to choose from unconditionaly. The staff is very confidant in explaining the system of controling your service with tradtional red and green chips. The chips allow to tell the GAUCHOS to ""BRING ON THE MEAT"" and tell them when it's time for a break. There are more than 12 cuts of meat, including, FILET MIGNON, top/bottom SIRLOINS, LAMB, PORKLOINS, PICANHA (brazilian specialty), CHICKEN WRAPPED IN BACON, etc.... Brasa has a GREAT WINE list to compliment the delicious dinner. The deserts are amazing, I particulary enjoyed the STRAWBERRY TIRAMISU. This is one restaurant where you get your moneys worth and it's IMPOSSIBLE TO LEAVE HUNGRY, after all, YOU CONTROL THE SERVICE ! Pros: Service, Food, Ambiance Cons: Perfect, Perfect, Perfect more

Rio Churrascaria Wins Hands Down! 4/10/2006

The ambience of Brasa is definitely its strong point. The salad bar was nicely stocked but some of the items listed on the website, such as scallops, were no where to be found. Many of cuts of meat that we were given were fatty and gristly. The filet medallions were good as was the leg of lamb but both items were quite elusive. The wait staff was always polite but not necessarily in tune with the needs of the table as evidenced by our lack of clean plates and the high frequency of trips to our table with only the cheapest cuts of meat. Having dined at Rio Churrascaria, I would definitely not recommend Brasa. The atmosphere at Rio Churrascaria may not be quite as nice as Brasa but the dining experience is definitely superior. Pros: Ambience Cons: Meat Quality, Service more

It was sooo good. 4/3/2006

After dining at Brasa, I couldn't believe I had never heard of this place before. First off, my wife has allergies, and the chef walked her through all of the salad or appetizer items to verify what was okay for her to eat. Second, the food absolutely amazing. Seriously, I was so full and satisfied, I felt I needed a wheel barrow to drag me out. Our waiter was perfect, she made sure all of the meats came out just the way we liked and she held amazing wine knowledge. She was also Brazilian and had many interesting stories to tell about life in Brazil. I forget her name, but I definitely recommend the Brazilian waitress. I will tell all my friends and coworkers about this place. Pros: staff, food, idea, experience Cons: little pricey if on a budget more

Not a good value for your $$ 4/3/2006

I ate there this past Saturday and the cut of the meats were just average, the steaks had a lot of fat on them. The website mentioned for $35 you got the hot/cold appetizer bar, seafood and the cut of meats. However when we arrived the waiter told us all the seafood was a la carte not included in the $35 pp price. For two ppl, two teas and tip was $100. You are much better off going to Rio Churrascia. The cuts of meat are premium and the garlic steak is just delicious. more

Disappointing at best 4/2/2006

The restaurant is pretty to look at but is lacking in everything that makes a meal worth $100.00 per couple. The service was lackluster. Empty glasses remained unfilled and dirty plates sat on the table far too long. There were too few servers bringing the meats to the table and the more popular cuts were nowhere to be found for most of the dinner. Additionally, I had more than one server ask if I would like a cut of filet while offering up a skewered piece of flank steak. I counted only five types of meats being offered out of the twelve advertised. With the exception of the elusive filet medallions all of the beef dry and tough. Brasas only competition in this area is Rio Churrascaria and from what I have experienced Rio Churrascaria provides better food and service. Pros: Ambience Cons: Food, Service, Food more

the best $35 i spent 3/30/2006

my wife and i went with our neighbors this last weekend for dinner to try a new restaurant in town. The torches outside were inviting and the hostess was helpful explaining the concept. The bar was beautiful and warm. We were seated to our table, the waiter was polite and helpful. The waiter explained the concept, and gave us a chip that was green and red and told us to help ourselves to the lavish appetizer bar and explained to us turn our chips to green when we were ready for our entree. The appetizer was elegant and full fresh and exotic items from salads to seafood. The main entrees were awesome and I would recommend this experiance to anyone. This a restaurant which you get great food, great ambiance and great service worth every dollar. Pros: salad bar, the meat, value Cons: none, none, none more

High Class! 3/26/2006

This is the best Brazilian Steak House in the triangle. A unique salad and appetizer bar that even has calamari, shrimp cocktail and smoked salmon on it! The are many options on the side item bar as well. I almost felt full before I got the meat...which was to die for with all the wonderful choices. All the meat was tender and cooked to perfection. The Owner and Manager were really nice and checked in with us to ask how our meal was. We sat by the fire in the comfy lobby after dinner and listened to the live band play Brazilian music with pride. This is a great addition to Brier Creek and gives the area a little adult night life. About time! Pros: Staff, Lounge , Atmosphere more

What Brier Creek Needed 3/25/2006

The other reviews are WAY OFF. This is what Brier Creek really needed! The food is great and the ambience is classy and sophisticated and the wine list is stellar compared to most in BC. This Brazilian Steakhouse has surpassed the rest with these three things alone. Sure, it is a little more in price than other Brazilian restaurants, but you pay for what you get. It is a nice break from the family oriented restaurants being your only choice in that shopping center. Go for it and spend a few bucks for a GREAT experience. Pros: Ambience, Valet Parking, Great Wine List more

BEST RESTAURANT IN THE TRIANGLE!!! 3/25/2006

I visited Brasa with some friends the other day and was amazed the momesnt I pulled up to the door. The entrance is punctuated with a pair of 15 foot high torches, and the interior is beautifully decorated. For only $35, you get all the beef, lamb, chicken, & pork you could possibly want (wich were all cooked perfectly for us)! The service was the best I've experienced in Raleigh, Mina was friendly and helpful. I added a lobster tail to my feast at a moderate charge and enjoyed it immensely. If you have room for dessert, they have a great selection. Pros: FOOD, SERVICE, ATMOSPHERE Cons: NONE, NONE, NONE more

Great atmosphere, food and overall experience! 3/24/2006

We had never been to a traditional Brasilian steakhouse before, and indeed this was one of the greatest culinary experiences we've ever had! The decoration takes you by surprise with its grandeur, tall ceilings, warm earthy colors, iron overhead railings, leather chairs and heavy set steardy tables. The best thing, there is no menu! A gourmet buffet w/ salads, zesty appetizers precede a parade of eleven cuts of meat served directly on the table (from Picahna, top and bottom sirloin, filet mignon, chicken wrapped in bacon...name it!). An amazing selection of wines and one of the best bars in the area with a fire place! We are hooked and will spend many good nigths there. Thanks Brasa! Pros: festive atmosphere, service, quality of food more

worst dining experience in a long time... 3/21/2006

We arrived at Brasa and were told of the dining option, $35 for everything. Our waiter told us at the *end* of the meal that there were cheaper options, not too helpful then. The ""all inclusive"" option didn't include drink and dessert, so it wasn't really all inclusive. The salad bar was pretty good. A few things that set it apart from other places. The appetizer bar was average at best, rather Golden Corral-ish. The main attraction...the meats. The fillet wasn't fillet, it was flank steak, chicken was undercooked, pork was sausage, not tenderloin as I expected, and the lamb was MIA. Only the sirloin was decent. Anything wrapped in bacon was completely saturated in salt for some reason. The service was very dissapointing, he kept saying he was sending our desired selections over, but that never happened. Easily the worst expensive meal I've eaten in the triangle. Pros: Appearance Cons: Price, Service, Food more

A good lunch choice.. 3/17/2006

This is an interesting place..the food was good and had a large selection. Lunch buffet without the ""meat service"" is $10. With the traveling meat, $18 for lunch. May be a little overpriced for dinner at $20 meatless $35 with meat, but is is different that much of the stuff at Briar Creek. more

Never felt so ripped off... 3/11/2006

You will feel badly ripped off. Boils down to an option of just food bar for $20 or food bar and meat for $35. Food bar has salads, veggies, and a couple modest dishes. Meats are good. However, 2 meat dinners and 1 soda left us paying $95 after standard tip - this did not include any desert, coffee, etc. So, we paid Angus Barn money for a standard quality dinner with no extras. If the cost was $40 after tip, this might all be ok. This restaurant should never survive and you really shouldn't let them get you too! Also, service was full of attitude, front people seemed lost, we sat at 7:30 for a 7:00 reservation. Pros: neat atmosphere Cons: staff, rip-off price, food just ok more
