Do not go here 4/19/2011

Have used this vet for about 8 or 9 yrs, I have finally been fed up with them and the treatment. I had an appt on Saturday morning for my sick dog. I am in disbelief at how rude and unprofessional these people are. It was much better when Dr Stover was who we saw. This new vet is completely unprofessional. HORRIBLE! We are finally changing vets. It has nothing to do with price, in fact they are in line with everyone else. It's not cheap to take your pet to the vet, how about acting like you appreciate it and not that you did us a favor by taking it. UNREAL more

Horrible Vet! 3/23/2011

I started going to this vet when an emergency cropped up with my dog and my reg. vet couldn't fit me in right away. Turned out, my dog had cancer (the vet thought he could get it all, so did I want to proceed with the surgery? Well, duh, of course! Guess what...he didn't get it all.) After surgery anytime I called the vet with a question NO ONE would call back! Not like I was calling for some simple problem...these were terminal cancer and post surgery issues.\r Had a cat with thyroid issues that needed daily meds to control. Long story short...this vet never got the meds adjusted to the correct dosage and my cat was in agony and needed to be put to sleep. Horrible care was given, no follow ups, again no returned phone calls. Dosage of medicine was too high after blood work was done to check it, yet no one called to have me adjust it. I repeatedly told the vet how my cat was acting odd and his response was that maybe she had fleas! I mean, really?\r Also, the vet talked to me i more

I like my vet 9/22/2010

Whenever my cat is sick, they can always get me in that day. I think the doctors are very knowledgeable. It doesn't smell like an animal hospital. more

A wonderful business 8/5/2009

I've moved several times in the past 10 years and have had four vets take care of my three dogs. Out of the four, Brandywine Hundred has been the most efficient as well as the most effective in treating my pets and communicating the course of action they are taking with each dog. The vet is approachable and available to ask questions. I would recommend this business to anyone who truly cares about their animals. They are wonderful. more

Brandywine Hundred Veterinary is horrible 7/31/2009

I have been here and feel that they are over priced and think only about the money... they try very hard to get you to do all types of blood work all the time even if you know your dog has had the same complaint before they will do blood work again... I feel they are impassioned and ignorant... they do not know what they are doing good luck if you go here i would not ever recommend it at all more

Exellent Service 6/10/2009

The service is excellent! The staff and vets are very profession. They don't recommend services that are not necessary. Most importantly, they remember your pets and treat them like family. more

We love the vets and they love our dogs! 3/30/2009

I'm shocked at the negative reviews about these vets and technicians. We've been using them for over 13 year and have no complaints. They are SO compassionate and caring with our pets. We have (but don't) use the boarding services because of less then wonderful results, but the doctors and techs can't be beat. more

Don't go here!! 11/28/2008

This was a good vet several years ago but not anymore. If you're bringing in your HEALTHY pet for a simple shot then I guess it would be ok but if you have a SICK pet go somewhere else! I don't feel they're qualified, do too much guess work and they'll rape your pocketbook with unnecessary testing, medication ect... I see someone else here also had a similiar incident. Hopefully they'll hire another Doctor that loves animals more than money! more

Very Satisfied with Medical Treatment 8/18/2008

I am very satisfied with the medical treatment my dog receives here. The people are very compassionate and informative regarding her care and treatment. Only down side is that It is expensive. I have also boarded my dog here and would not recommend for owners of large breed dogs. My dog did not get enough exercise and was not too happy when she came home.Overall, I would recommend this vet to others. more

Better than the rest 3/22/2008

Not sure what the bad reviews are about but this certainly doesn't happen often (or ever to me).\r \r I first used the Vet services here because I board my dog here (which he LOVES) and needed shots my regular Vet did not "believe in doing." I now use them as my regular Vet and couldn't be happier. They truly care about the health of my Golden which I find most important.\r \r There prices seem no higher than my previous Vet and my dog actually gets better after the first visit.\r \r I also use there grooming facilities which are pricey but comparable to others I've used in the area and they do a GREAT job.\r \r And no, I don't work here . . . more

Unacceptable!!! 1/14/2008

I took my very sick cat in and was given an estimate for over $500.00 for diagnostic testing. I agreed to some of the tests and waited for the results. I called every day for the next 5 days and was finally told that the blood sample was never sent out. I should of had the results back and started a course of treatment but instead I was told that maybe I should find another vet. That is just what I did. Never was their any compassion or apology for their mistake and the vet never called to check on the health of my cat either. more

I think they are good. 4/6/2007

I looked up the number to my vet and saw these two reviews and was surprised. I've been using this vet for two years and I think they are great.\r \r I have two bulldogs and they are very knowledgeable about the breed. Sure their prices are a little expensive but most vets are expensive these days. I would rather go somewhere where they are knowledgeable about my breed of dog, care about my dogs health and can get me in at a moments notice then go to some cheep vet whose level of service and expertise aren't up to snuff. I believe that they are a great vet and I have used their kenneling and didn't have the problems that the previous reviewer described. I have had nothing but good experiences with this vet and I can't say that with other vets in my area. more

Lousy care and poor customer service 7/22/2006

I boarded my dog there for two days. Before I dropped him off, I wiped him down with doggie wipes, so he was at least relatively clean when I dropped him off. When I picked him up, only two days later, he was absolutely filthy! He was covered in dried mud, and he stunk! When I complained to the technician, she had the audacity to tell me that if I wanted to have him bathed, they would bathe him to the tune of $25! They wanted me to pay $25 to clean up their mess. Add to that, the fact that the technician couldn't tell me when my dog had been fed last or when he had been walked. In addition, the average hold time when you call this organization is at least ten minutes! I'm posting this review so that no one else makes the same mistake I made. I expected that my dog might be somewhat dirty, but not like this. They left him to wallow in his own filth, which is a poor reflection on an organization that is supposed to be devoted to animal welfare. PROS: CONS: I will never patronize this b more

Great Vet 11/3/2005

I have used this Vet for 25 years and was always impressed with the Service they gave us. They are veyr knowledgeable when it comes to treating animals. more

Compare First 9/15/2005

I have been using this vet for the last ten years. They are caring and compassionate. After comparing prices and practices with other pet owners, however, I will be looking for a new vet. Their prices are very high. The prices for prescriptions are sometimes twice as high as other nearby vets charge. They also insist on too many tests. They want blood or urine tests for even simple common complaints, instead of prescribing the standard treatment. I think these tests should be reserved for occasions when treatment isn't working, or the condition is unknown. I love my pets, but it isn't necessary to go overboard. more
