Thomas Secson had worked on an investment property for my partner a few years prior. Being only 23 years old, I had the ambition of being a homeowner. I was looking to move out of my parents’ house and ready to be on my own but soon realized that renting would not be much of an investment. I sent an initial e-mail to Dream Town Realty regarding our interest in property in Chicago with very specific requirements, namely, large dog friendly condo/townhouse on the first floor (our older golden has trouble with stairs ) in a very nice neighborhood, close to restaurants, shopping and close to lake. Our goals were met by Jeff Hopkins in a sincere, yet serious manner. Jeff listened very carefully to each and every requirement. We were looking for a 2 bed/2 bath condo at a great price with (preferably) a backyard area for our doggies, and lastly a dog friendly building. Each and every criteria was met by Jeff and, in fact, he exceeded our expectations with his negotiation skills, prompt action from the initial offer to close in a record time of 13 days. He works around your schedule and makes sure that you never walk away with any unanswered questions. Moving to Chicago for the first time, we had no idea what to expect or even where to start. Brian took my wife and I to each section of the city (South Loop, Gold Coast, Old Town, River North, West loop) to show us the benefits and drawbacks of each (it was crazy how much he knew about each neighborhood). We must have looked at a half dozen places in each neighborhood and never once did Brian rush us or put any pressure on. And I know we had to be a huge pain in the ass! Once we found something we liked, Brian’s pressure free approach was fantastic. He isn’t one of THOSE sales guys that we’ve all dealt with at some point in our lives. She took the time to get to know us and our interests, our budget and helped us find a way to make it all fit into what we were looking for. She had lots of great information and connected us to other great resources as well.
