Thorough and Professional Company 9/20/2011

World class company full of world class people. Our system broke down a week ago and the day that I called Brady Flanary a design specialist was out at my house to conduct a "comfort consultation". The installers put in our new system the very next day and did a great job. Very courteous and professional. You really do get what you pay for with Brady Flanary! more

Best HVAC Company In the Triad! 9/20/2011

Our air conditioning system broke down over the summer and our oil furnace was over 20 years old, so we decided to get both replaced. Brady Flanary conducts themselves in a manner that I have never before seen from an HVAC company. First, the design specialist treated my situation as a consultant, rather than as a salesman, needless to say, this was a pleasant change from the hard selling tactics I am so used to from buying new cars as well as from dealing with heating and air contractors in the past. The design specialist, Patrick Brownlee, did a very thorough job in taking into account every minute detail that could potentially effect the heat loss/heat gain criterias of my house. After I agreed to a price that was higher than most (but obvious why) Brady Flanary told me that they could install the system the next day because residential heating and air work is all that they focus on! What a great feeling to know that your a company's first priority! The next day the installers, who looked and acted just as knowledgeable and professional, arrived at 9:00am and finished the job around 6:30pm. We have seen a drastic reduction in our monthly energy bills since the installation as well as received numerous compliments on our beautiful new system. I am anxious to recommend this company to everyone and anyone who asks! more

Superb, competent service 3/24/2011

Fast response: I called Brady-Flanary at 4:30 p.m. and the technician was here at 10:30 the next morning, precisely on time. (The office called me 30 minutes before his arrival, to alert me he was on the way.)\r Competent and friendly: The technician, Rodney Sobolik, has been with the company 13 years. Trained in A/C at Forsyth Tech. Throughout the diagnostic process, he willingly showed me what he was doing and why; what the gauges meant; what the factory charts showed the gauges should read when the task was done.\r Unit had a blown dual capacitor. No doubt -- end bulged out. He replaced it.\r Unit was 4 pounds low on freon. No doubt -- I saw the gauge measurements. He recharged the system.\r Costs:\r * Service Call: $89 (I knew this before he came). About a 40-mile round trip in a fully-equipped new van driven by an experienced technician. That's reasonable.\r * Capacitor: $140 (less 10%) = $126. This is about a $24 part (I checked later online). But -- he had it and knew mine was bad. So more

So I paid $100 for his expertise. * Freon, 4 pounds: $126 (less 10%) = $113.40. Freon can be bought (online) for about $7 a pound. So I got $28 worth for $113.40. He had the equipment to do the job and knew how much to put in. So I paid about $85 for his expertise. Had I attempted this myself, I could have overcharged the system and destroyed my unit. * Inspecting my system (coils filters) etc. INCLUDED IN THE SERVICE CALL CHARGE. * Advice: FREE. Rodney gave me much good advice about how to keep my system in tip-top shape. * Comfort level: PRICELESS. I feel that my unit was properly repaired by a company that shows up fast and on time, is professional in every way, and leaves me confident that I can trust and depend on them. I was so impressed I called a neighbor to come over and meet him. She's planning to have them do a maintenance check on her system next week. more

Thank you Brady Flanary ! 2/25/2011

Brady Flanery installed the heating and cooling in my home in a professional and friendly manner. When our gas furnace had issues with a motor, it was replaced promptly. the motor was out of warrenty so I paid for the repair. Unfortunately, the motor failed again and was replaced promptly at no charge. A problem continued with the unit and Brady came to my home at least hafl dozen times, at no charge to me, to eventually diagnose and repair the unit. Several parts were replaced and I was never charged for either a service call or the parts. I felt that they went way beyond the call of duty to keep our house warm during a very cold winter. When I am asked who I reccomend as a professional, reliable HVAC service, I strongly reccomend Brady Flanary. more

I had Brady Flanary install a unit in my home around Oct. 2010. They did an outstanding job. They went above and beyond what they had to do installing extra duct work and doing some other things without charging me extra. They were a little higher up front but I went with them because of their professionalism. In Nov. 2010 I had a unit go bad in a rental property that I own. I hired them to do that job as well. They again did a very professional job. I had a minor issue develop in my home unit in Dec. 2010 and they immediately responded and fixed the problem. It was nothing that could have been foreseen. I am very pleased with them and would reccomend them again. I wish they went to Wilmington, I would get them to do another rental unit for me. more

We called three companies for a quote to replace our HVAC system. Brady Flanary priced the job in the middle but got the bid because of the time their rep (Patrick) took to conduct a thorough review of our existing system. He listened to my wife and me about our problems and concerns. \r Patrick then returned with several options presented in a very detailed but easy to understand written quote. The other contractors recommended a 3 ton AC unit even though we had expressed our concerns that the old unit was inadequate to cool our house. Brady Flanary recommended a 3 and one-half ton unit and we are certain this is the correct size for our home. We are no longer dreading the summer like we did last year.\r The Trane gas furnace system is simply AWSOME. We have never been happier and had no idea how inadequate our old system was until we installed the new system. In addition to replacing the HVAC units, Brady Flanary also recommended increasing the flow of several existing vent li more

Honest 2/21/2011

I called Brady Flanary when my heat suddenly stopped working on a very cold day. I had never used them before but they arrived promptly and fixed what turned out to be a minor problem quickly. They could have told me anything and I would not have know the difference. I later used them to insulate my attic. They were honest enough to tell me I didn't need a new furnace but rather more insulation. They were right and better yet HONEST with me. They have my business for life!!!! more

I have had a lot of work priced lately and I rate these at the top of the list. True pros. Never been so happy! 2/17/2011

Had to have my system replaced and I called them for one of their free estimates. I figured they would just show up and take a quick look and give me a price just like everyone else did, but I was way wrong. They spent of an hour just looking at what was here, they found problems the other folks didn't even think to address. They were much more thorough. They had to leave to do some calculations, but when they returned later that night their rep brought back a very detailed and thorough analysis and proposal. Needless to say, I was impressed and decided to use them. We paid a little more than some of the other quotes, but it was well worth it. Our home has never been as comfortable as it is now. Great experience from start to end, as their installers were very neat and very professional folks. This is a first class organization! more

Above the Rest!! 8/19/2010

Brady Flanary is on a different level than all other competitors. We had a problem with our a/c. My wife called another established local company with over 50yrs experience. They sent a tech out and he said we had a coolant leak and it would be too expensive to find. He told my wife just to call when the a/c stops blowing cool air and they would come out and recharge it for $160 each time. I called the company and told them I wanted the problem fixed. The woman who answered the phone told me they could not get the parts for any older systems (ours is only 9yrs old) because of the new refrigerant laws. I hung up the phone and called Brady Flanary. Two hours later, a tech showed up at my house, in uniform, with a company vehicle with signage. He found the problem and gave us a quote, which we accepted. They ordered the parts and set up a date to install them 3 days later. Everything works great. I will only use Brady Flanary from here on out. I hope you guys have a company of this calibe more

WORST!!! DO NOT BE FOOLED! 6/7/2010

If I could give this company a 0 I would have. Had to call them three different times to fix our air conditioning. Each time they ""cleaned the filter"". The problem was fixed for about 2 hours. The last technician that wasted our time told us to call again and they would come out for free if it stopped working. However, he was rude, degrading, argumentative, uninformative, inneffective and careless. We called again (4th time in less than 2 weeks) and were told we would be charged another $89 service fee and repair cost. I couldn't believe it. Instead of fixing the problem or telling us that they couldn't fix it and referring us to someone else, they were rude and wanted more money. They are dishonest, incompitent and definitely not the ""family business"" they claim to be. If you have extra money to waste, call them. They'll gladly send a lazy technician out with bad language or a bad attitude (even in front of your children) and charge you more money instead of being honest and actually working to fix the problem. I'm out $200. Not one technician spent more than an hour and not one technician actually went to the crawl space to fix the problem. I watched. They stood outside and ""cleaned a filter"" which allowed for two hours of air conditioning, just long enough for them to leave. Be warned. They may be nice the first time, or the second, maybe even the third..but after that, you're left with the same problem and they will only charge you more money to fix it. I know the economy isn't great for anyone right now. I would think that a small business like that would care more about their reputation and getting business than being crooks. I would also advise that if you are a woman and you plan on being the one to handle this (especially stay at home moms like me) that you are cautious. They took advantage of me and lied several times with the intent (and success) to fool me. I wish I would have known better. Please call someone else, even if it's $10 more. I don't want anyone else to go through what I had to.\r \r Pros: Absolutely nothing Cons: Absolutely everything more

Life Saver! 1/7/2009

We had to replace the entire HVAC unit in our new house and these guys were awesome. They did the work in the time they told us and have followed up several times to make sure everything was working properly. I would highly recommend this company. more
