These movers are the worst. They are so bad, it took them 45-days to deliver my entire home inventory and it cost me twice as much as the original quote. They quoted me one thing, and then charged more than twice that upon delivery.\r
\r
Speaking of the delivery. I had to have the police show up to that event, just to make sure the movers were not going to rob me. Hours prior to delivery, the driver requested a cash only deal. The driver was also two-days late. But having waited 43 days, what was another two? Well, apparently, it was $400 more for that.\r
\r
The driver was unable to make it on Saturday morning - because he slept though the call and his truck broke down. Then on Sunday, the driver (well, the dispatcher actually) notified us that it would be a cash-only deal. Well, as the banks are closed on Sunday, we had to pay an additional $400 to have them deliver it on Monday.\r
\r
During the 45-day wait, Boston Flat Rate ignored calls or, when they took the calls, said the delivery was in route.\r
\r
What a bunch of scumbags. I could (and should) have done this myself, for half the cost and one-tenth the distress.\r
\r
Additional Notes. Let?s see...they: Insulted the wife (blamed her for this whole thing); told me to take responsibility for this (to be fair that?s true, I should have used a credible service); checked out as soon as the subcontractor picked-up the stuff; never came by to verify the size of the job or weight/effort of the job; and, never followed up with anything that did not related to taking our money.\r
Cons: 45-day delivery window. Police at delivery. More than twice the quoted price. Extra $400 because driver slept in.
