As a frequent visitor to Book Land I'm finding it difficult to reconcile the two bad reviews to what I know of the store and staff. The store is located in a small strip mall off of Louetta that has a Taco Bell separate but in front of it, perhaps that is the odor to which the two previous posts refers but having supposed that, I must confess I and my fiance and friends have never experienced any such odors in our frequent visits.
As for the store it is logically laid out, with everything clearly marked and all books in alphabetical order by author how hard is it to find a book if you know what you are looking for? Not hard at all, unsure? Ask the staff they are friendly and knowledgable, ask for a title, an author, a genre they will find it. Ask them to locate a book for you and they will-ask them to call you when a book you are looking for comes in, they do. As to the condition of the books themselves? I have seen the store management turn away books that were poorly treated by the owners. When you purchase a book there it is in good to excellent condition, and you are still paying much less than the full price.
My fiance, friends and I are voracious readers that frequent many of the bookstores in the area - this is one of our favorites
