Amazing Burritos and even better wings 1/10/2010

We go there constantly. I love their huge burritos, especially the bbq pork And while they are best known for burritos, their flavored wings are very reasonable and taste wonderful. I like the garlic ones the best. And there is no better place to go on your birthday, where they give you an enormous Margaritta that is big enough for for people for free. The best place to sit is upstairs by the window overlooking Lark Street. If you don't want waitress service then downstairs may do, but it is kind of dark an dingy there The service is pleasant and efficient and I think anyone visiting Albany should go there at least once. Not the cleanest place 12/28/2009

It seems a good idea has given way to a place that now relies on it's ""History"". The tables are filthy, and that makes me wonder about the kitchen, out of view. The employees seem more worried about tips than actual work performance. My burrito was cold to boot. The Schenectady location is better, great upstairs. I used to fancy Bomber's much more than I do today. If you are looking for expensive and overly sweet drinks in a loud environment, then this is your place. But if you are looking for a burrito with rice that is cooked all the way through and cheese that may actually be melted...then this is not for you. Have some of the drinks first and you will not notice, but if you want a burrito that is good when you are sober, head to Burrito Joe's on Columbia Street (Just off of Pearl). You will not be disappointed. Pros: Fast food (if you don't order Veggie Chicken Nugget burrito), large drinks. Cons: poor service, undercooked, over-hyped food. more

Great prices for outstanding food and atmosphere 9/15/2008

We were in town for a wedding and read about Bombers online. We saw the menu online and were immediately attracted to the super cheap prices. It was around 8:30pm on a Saturday. It was a comfortable size that we didn't feel lost but still open enough to avoid the girl celebrating her 21st birthday. We waited 15 minutes for a table but the bar kept us entertained and had some good drink specials. We got the mini tacos and nachos supreme as apps and the veggie burrito and beef tacos as our entrees. The apps filled us up and we ended up taking home the entire entree. Did not even take one bite of them. We were stuffed and the food was so good. Would def go again. more

I would say Bombers is more hype than quality. The burritos are sub-par at best, except for the BBQ Tofu, and thats mostly just because I like BBQ Tofu. There are better places to get a burrito... The service is usually pretty poor and drinks are a little pricier than average. The food leaves me thinking ""Where is the Love!?"" more

Bombers is probably the worst place in all of Albany to get a burrito (or any food, for that matter). The burritos are tasteless and always fall apart - you are lucky if the meat is warm even if you eat in! The Nachos are disgusting and I think they put brown sugar in the meat? Pros: $1 Utica Clubs... that's about it. Cons: Overpriced drinks, awful food, rude staff. more

Terrible food 11/19/2006

This review is strictly about the food-- we've only ordered take out so I can't speak for the atmosphere, drinks, etc. When we first moved to Albany about 4 months ago, we heard rave reviews about Bombers. Our first night in Albany we got burritos to go, and they were horrible. They were cold and soggy and my boyfriend and I could not finish them. We hadn't returned until recently, when we decided to give it a second shot. He ordered the vegetarian burrito and I ordered the loaded nachos. His burrito was once again TERRIBLE (same problem, cold and soggy, fell apart right away, no flavor), and my nachos were equally bad (cheese was not melted, chili was awful, we could've made the same thing at home for a lot cheaper and it would've tasted better). Neither of us finished our dinner. Cons: Cold, soggy burritos and lousy service. more

Bombers Overhyped, Drinks Overpriced 12/8/2005

Food is decent and not that expensive (not as cheap as everyone raves about). Portions are not impressive for the price, either. Service is non-existant, the downstairs (non-bar area) took quite a while to be served. Upstairs (the bar area) almost necessitated sending a search team to locate the food ordered about an hour ago. Subsequently, I ate a cold burrito and dried up fries. Bumbers. HOWEVER, don't order anything from the bar but a special. The menus missing prices on most drinks (oddly enough) and you may need an oral surgeon to reconnect your jaw when the bill comes and you and a few of your friends owe a Burrito Bar around $90 for three quesedillas, two orders of fries, and 7 drinks between you. Our own fault, but about $9.00 for a drink is a bit out of line (especially when it's 70% ice). Don't believe the hype. Pros: Food is decent Cons: Horrible Service, Gets expensive fast, Crowded more

Everyone's only talking about Bomber's burritos (which are awesome), but what about the fact that they have 20 beers on tap in a cool lounge/bar atmosphere with .25 cent wings on Monday nights.....something to think about. more
