Great SPA! 1/1/2009

I went to this spa at the recommendation of a friend and got a facial. This was the first time that I got a full facial and have very sensitive skin. I can tell you that I was utterly pleased and have already booked a swedish massage for this month right before I take a big exam. I will also be utilizing the spa for other services in the future and have even gotten many family and friends to book treatments. This is the kind of place where I am willing to try different services unlike many other spas I've been to. I highly recommend this spot to all. Pros: Excellent Place Cons: None! more

The Best Kept Spa Secret In Queens 1/1/2009

One of the frustrating things that I have experienced is finding a nice day spa in Queens. I have researced over and over and always find myself and my friends traveling into the city out to Long Island. We found the best kept secret in Whitestone. I love spa's. This is an excellent place to have a relaxing day in a very well appointed spa. It has all the right requirements for relaxing from the moment you walk in the door. The service staff is excellent and the massages and facials are fabulous. Prepare yourself for a day of pampering. It is so worth the trip. You will want to share it with all your friends and family. They als have great packages for men. more

Great Day Spa! :) 1/1/2009

After a very long ride back from snowboarding in VT my boyfriend and I were dying to get massages... not only did the staff take the two of us on short notice but we got GREAT massages. The staff was super sweet and professional. The place was clean and very tranquil... the perfect place to relax! They worked on specific spots that were sore and def worked out some out some kinks. I was in heaven! And my boyfriend, who had been having back issues, said he hasn't felt his back feel this good in a while. LOVED IT! and can't wait to go back. Like breathing a sigh of relief 1/1/2009

I am new to the world of spa treatments and Body & Mind Day Spa was my first experience. Since then, I have tried others (just to see!) but have always returned here. A hidden gem! 1/1/2009

Body and Mind Spa is a fabulous place to go for facials and massages. The staff is kind, unpretentious, and make sure that your experience is a great one each time you go. I have been going here for several years now for massages, and just had my first facial here a few days before my wedding in August. The aesthetician was so gentle and cautious, and did such a wonderful job - I left totally glowing with perfect skin for my wedding day. I've gotten massages at many other places in Manhattan and Queens, and this spa tops them all - for cleanliness, service, and overall experience. I have been using Body & Mind since it opened. I highly recommend it to anyone who just wants to relax and not think about anything. I have had stone massages, swedish massages, facials, microderm glow, body scrubs, manicure's and pedicures. I have always had great experiences with the staff. They are knowledgable, courteous and extremely professional. They always ask if my visit was pleasurable. All rooms, sheets, robes,etc. are sparkling clean. \r I have recommended Body & Mind to my daughters and friends and will continue to do so. (They all enjoy their services) I have received many gift cards for services and some with just amounts so that I can choose my own service. The web site is easy to use and purchasing certificates on line is a breeze.\r Roberta, Bella and Amanda are just a few of their staff that I have had and would recommend highly. Nestled in the village of whitestone is a quaint spa. The minute you walk in you are greeted by a friendly staff and the aroma of candles burning makes you feel welcomed and calm. I have been going to the Body and Mind Spa for over six years and love it! The staff is very professional, the services offered are exceptional, and the facility is very clean and soothing! They offer discounts on packages and I always take advantage of them because I know there is no other place I would rather get a facial or massage from! I first went to Body and Mind Spa because I had received a gift certificate there. My experience was amazing! The facitliy was very relaxing and super clean and the staff are very professional. I love going back there. Now whenever anyone asks me what I want I tell them a gift certificate to Body and Mind Spa-a facial, back massage, manicure/pedicure. It is my favorite place to go to unwind and relax, especially during a stressful time. Their massages are to die for and I absolutely LOVE their facials, as well as the products they sell. Body & Mind is superior to the high-priced and pretentious spas in Manhasset, Garden City and the \r tri-state area. The staff is professional, helpful and they always make you feel welcome. After a facial and massage, you feel refreshed and relaxed. Very reasonably priced and worth every penny! The owner is always available and extremely personable. They use high-quality products for their facials and they're applied generously during the treatment. I wouldn't go anywhere else---great value and wonderful service! I rec'd a Micro Glow Facial from Bella--simply put...this was a wonderful experience!!!\r From start to finish B&M made my experience easy breezy. Upon walking in I was immediately swept into my private room, met with sounds of zen relaxation as I experienced 75mins of the best pampering my face has ever had. I really appreciated the explanation of each procedure, as I had never selected this type of facial before. I also appreciated the tips for maintaining a radiant glow w/o the hardcore sales tactics. I can not wait for my monthly treat to myself which is another session with Bella!!! Pros: Top Notch Service & Treatments Cons: Cant book an appointment everyday as I wish, I would be broke! more

A relaxing oasis 11/25/2008

I've been getting massages from Body & Mind Spa every opportunity I can. The staff is soft-spoken, the rooms and linens are clean and the body massage is relaxing. The masseuse are experienced. The atmosphere is relaxing from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. I can't think of another place that I'd rather get this service from. Relax, Recharge, Retreat, Rejuvenate!! 11/24/2008

I have been a customer at Body & Mind Spa since it opened in 1993. I often buy gift certificates for those important to me or when I think a friend can use some time to ""relax and unwind."" The online offers are also a wonderful marketing tool and great way to save money at the spa on services. I often find myself relaxing, rejuvenating, retreating, recharging and ready to sart fresh. I have only had positive experiences at Body & Mind Spa and recommend it as often as I can. Pros: Location, easy parking, easy to book appointments, very clean and friendly staff and environment. I've been to many spas in NYC, Hamptons, & Connecticut for massage and other spa services - I definitely agree w. other reviewers that Body & Mind is a great spa & a neighborhood gem. It is quaint & clean. Staff are courteous & professional. Prices are definitely a value for the massages. I have been a Body and Mind customer for several years now. I have referred friends and family to the Spa for a day of relaxation and even given treatments as a gift. The facility is very clean. I have enjoyed their facials, massages and pedicures - all very affordable. Their friendly courteous staff make you feel so comfortable that you want to come back again and again. Its location is convenient with ample street parking. Who would think that such a gem would be found in a small town called Whitestone. i just moved into queens about a month ago and the stress of the transition was very evident on my face. i know that queens in general is littered with all these facials and day spas and i have been to a few asian places whenever i visited my boyfriend and wasn't really impressed with their services, so i had to make sure that the spa has to be top notch especially if i am going to be a regular, (was a hardcore loyalist to elizabeth grady but there are none here). so i googled and found a bunch of places and i clicked on the body and mind day spa. scheduling was a breeze, getting there was very easy, the people at the desk were very nice. also the place was very clean (awesome!). i ordered a classic facial, but the esthetician thought itd be best id benefit from the bio mask (my face was being very temperamental) which was 10 bucks more. the results were very good, i felt refreshed, my face cleared up dramatically. so this place is worth it! I absolutely adore Body and Mind Day Spa! The atmosphere is very relaxing and the staff is warm and inviting. I was very nervous on my first visit. As soon as I entered the door I was welcomed and made to feel very comfortable. Never is there a doubt in my mind that I've picked the best spa in Queens.
