Bob's Sewing & Vacuum Ctr

Rude! Go to Ryan's up the street. Purchased extended warranty, was required to use Bob's. They called, said I had to pay an additional $100 to them to fix the unit, since the protection plan only covered $100 in repairs (WTF?) Called protection plan people, they said no, I don't pay anything, the repair center (Bob's) picks up the tab, and the plan pays them. The protection plan center was appalled that Bob's tried to charge me, and then collect the extra $'s from them too. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAUGE more

What a shame to call this a business.I should have listened to the sewing group I belong to (56 members we donate and sew for the USA military troops) when they said ""Dont go to Bobs"". I thought could this business really be that bad. Oh my were they right, I dropped off a sewing machine item to be fixed in December 2010 I was assured ""No problem we can fix this part"" I followed up by phone in January and Feburary, Fast foward to mid March 2011, I decided to go back to the store location in person, The owner was there to help me and when I asked about the part I had left to be repaired he gave me the part back that I had taped onto a card last December. HELLO the part was just as I had attached it to the card it had not been removed nor looked at. I had asked why had no one called me, No answer.Last December He could have offered to order the broken part for me if they could not fix it which I would have happily paid for. If you need anything repaired DONT take it to Bob's, chances are you wont hear from them for months. I give this review of Bob's one star because they dont offer minus stars to post. more

I have bought a high dollar sewing machine from Bob's and just recently bought a vacuum cleaner. The owner is always kind and considerate and will bend over backwards to make sure I am satisfied with the work and products. Pros: locally owned Cons: a bit pricier but they throw in a lot of extras more

I dropped my vacuum off with the cover because it was burning a belt every other use I wanted to show the service man exactly what failed. Cons: They could not fix my vacuum. They took a week to call us and were very rude to my wife. more
