My boyfriend and I love going to Boa's West Hollywood location for exceptionally-prepared meat (we always get the petit filet, and have never been disappointed), decadent side dishes (he loves the macaroni and cheese; I like it too, but prefer the creamed spinach), and our favorite dessert (two warm chocolate chip cookies with a scoop of vanilla ice cream). The wine selection has historically been ample, though they are currently re-doing their list, so selection is somewhat limited. As for decor, the place feels hip and current, with screens of woven twigs partitioning off the geometric little nooks of tables from each other. Service is also excellent, with very attentive and knowledgeable waiters (like many in this town, they are almost all of the ""actor-hopeful"" variety). Boa is a great place to go on a date and to take friends in search of the modern thrill of the Sunset Strip. (NB: Their Sunday night wine special - 50% off any bottle - is a great way to cap off the weekend.)
Pros: steak, service, dessert
Cons: pricey, tight quarters
