Horrible 9/29/2007

This has to be the worst restaurant I've been to in years. There was nobody there, except a man (presumably an employee) sitting at a table right in front doing some sort of paperwork. The silverware at the table was greasy. They were out of several things on the menu. And, the food was bad--the salad was brown and wilty, so bad that I would have thrown it out if it was in my frig--and the other dish (Romanian beef, I believe) was edible, but not something I would have bought again if it had been a $2.50 frozen meal. When the waitress and one of the kitchen staff came out and delivered our plates, they high-fived each other as they walked back toward the kitchen, leading us to believe we were one of their first customers. Cons: bad food, bad atmosphere, dirty, unpleasant music more

Unbeliveble Food 8/21/2007

Born in Texas, I served overseas for 8 years having the pleasure to serve some wonderfull food in Europe but this place in Georgetown, TX?-yes Georgetown- would be on top of any ethnic dish I ever enjoyed. The Stuffed Cabbage or the salmon ? the best I ever had, the service and the trully helpful ambiance made this place to visit it over and over again, you like good food go and eat there. Pros: Family ambience Cons: maybe location( hard to found) more

Exellent weight lose program 8/20/2007

During our marriage my husband and I tried to lose weight...but it is very hard because we like to eat, my neighbor recommended this Restaurant, telling us that her family it's a regular here and eating a lot they lost 12 lbs. in one month, after I checked the menu on the internet I decided to give it a try... what a pleasant surprise...all there dishes are made home style and yes after following the Chef's instructions what to eat and how to eat in two months I lost 16 lbs. and I eat everything and try all there signature dishes, after years of searching I do beleive you can eat well and still lose weight, we are driving 60 miles to this place and all of you that faild in any weight lose program tried it out. Also the service it's excellent we allways are treated like family it's cozy and very private, we will patronage your place for ever. Thank You!!!! Pros: Home Made Food more

best new place in central texas 8/19/2007

I just recently ate at the blue danube and I have to say that is best variety of european food I've ever seen and i am definitley going back on a weekly basis. So, if your looking for a nice dining experience, I highly recommend it. Pros: Everything I could see Cons: None that I can find more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! 8/11/2007

Dirty floors, dirty tablecloths and flies abundant. Had the steak special on a Saturday night - the meat was tiny in size. Green beans frozen, mashed potatoes room temp. All that for $10 each! The $3.99 salad was nothing but lettuce and 2 slices of tomato although the menu description showed other veggies should be on it. They were out of bread, crackers and steak sauce. Came home and ate a sandwich when we got through. Took forever to get food and only 2 other people in the restaurant the entire time we were there. What a waste of time and money!!!! Anybody that gives this dump a good rating must be a family member. Pros: The experience is over. Cons: Everything from the minute we got there until the minute we left. more

Not a great experience 5/4/2007

I thought I would try this place out. First of all, the table cloth and silverware were dirty. Since I didn't want to use the silverware, I ordered a hamburger, fries and iced tea. The tea was cloudy and without flavor. The burger was barely warm and the fries were cold. The service was slow and for all this $7.95. Maybe I just visited on a bad day but I was not impressed. more

Its been so long! 5/2/2007

I was stationed in Munich, Germany for 4 years back from 83-87 and I've so missed eating out at German restaraunts serving Hungarian and Yugoslavian dishes like this. The food here is excellent! Its family run, and everything is prepared, ""Not for trendy people looking for touristy european food"", but for actual europeans or those who have been there enough to know the difference between the real cooking. And those that just try to cash in another nations lifestyle and culture. The Blackberry Crepes are supurb. And for those texas types, the Baby Back Ribs here are the real old gramma's style. Not the country boy, Burnt-on-the-grill tough as leather style. Pros: Real Authentic homemade cooking that doesn't seem pretentious and fake Cons: I haven't found any. Maybe that portions are smaller than many American restaraunts. more

Best European food I ever had. 4/21/2007

Georgetown and the Austin area needed this; it's a restaurant that makes you feel right at home. Food is great, if you are from Europe, it's like your Grandma's cooking. It just made me feel nostalgic, remembering the old times when there were no fast food restaurants at every corner. Really, it shows the owner's commitment to customer service. If you step inside you are the only one that matters...for Mike. Over all it?s just great, everybody should try it. more
