Every one at the Womens Imaging Center are kind and compassionate. Taking the time to explain my proceedure to me in detail and answering all my questions. The tech helping with my proceedure even held my hand. The doctor was wonderful and stayed with me through everything. No other doctors have done that for me before. Wow!! Thank You!! more

I had a great experience at WIC. Dr. McAleese was highly competent and caring and the staff was professional and extremely friendly and comforting to me. An experience which is often pressure-packed was made pleasant, if not enjoyable. I would recommend WIC to anyone in need of a mammogram or bone density testing. I have been coming to The Women's imaging Center for almost 8 years. Dr Mc Aleese and her staff are the best. The one time I did have a problem I was able to see a Doctor that day. I came to The Women's Imaging Center with a breast lump. I was terrified, not of the testing, but of the results. All of the staff were caring and compassionate. They really listened to me and answered all my questions. I got all my tests and a biopsy the same day. Thank God the results were not cancer!!! The long wait the day of my mammogram was one thing....investing 1.5 hours for a basic mammogram was annoying but not enough for me to discourage people from going there. The fact that they sent me a LETTER to tell me I need additional tests run rather than picking up the phone and talking to me ---- THAT is another matter. A LETTER to say call us to schedule another appointment. A LETTER to say not everything on your mammogram is clear. A LETTER....not a call. I was astounded. I called. 4:20pm. Pressed the option for appointment and was directed to ""general mailbox"" voice mail. Left a voice mail explaining I needed to schedule a second screening. At 4:55pm called again. Same result. Leave another message. It is now the following business day - past noon - still no call back. I have placed another call ---- to another Imaging Center in town to schedule an appointment -- not only did they answer the phone, they were very helpful, listened to my concerns, answered my questions in a caring manner and got me scheduled. And I DID inquire what they do when a mammogram isn't 100% clear --- they CALL their patients. A mammogram result that isn't 100% clear is scary enough without being treated with complete disregard by the imaging center you're working with. Cons: Long Wait, Impersonal, Disregard more

I went to see Dr. McAleese for a second opinion after a radiologist in Boulder found a suspicious area on my breast ultrasound. I was so nervous, but after meeting Dr. McAleese, I was quite calm and confident. The radiologist in Boulder suggested an MRI, but Dr. McAleese preferred to do a biopsy of the area. She spent over 45 minutes talking with me about the procedure and answered all of my questions. I walked out of my first appointment at ease and felt as if I had just made a new friend. She was so wonderful and took the time to make sure I understood everything. I did not feel rushed at all. I came in three weeks later for the biopsy, which I was a little nervous about. Dr. McAleese and the nurse were so kind and the procedure was easy and painless. Again, I left the office calm and comforted. Thankfully, the results were benign. Because of a large mass which developed involving my lymph node, it was feared that I may have lymphoma. I went to to The Women's Imaging Center for an ultrasound of the mass. Dr. Kelly McAleese did my exam. She was so gentle and caring, afterwards she explained my results and said that I would need a biopsy. She did the biopsy the very same day. Not only was I afraid of the needles, I was terrified of the what the results might be. Dr. McAleese and her staff did everything they could to make me feel better. Thankfully my results came back OK. I would highly recommend Dr. Kelly McAleese and The Women's Imaging Center to everyone I know. The doctors and technologists at The Women's imaging Center went out of their way to ease my anxiety. They answered all of my questions, explained my results to me in a way that I could understand, and made me feel completely cared for. This meant so much considering a mass was found on my mammogram that required me to have a biopsy. They were able to do the biopsy in the office on the same day. My results were given to me the very next day, thankfully benign. The care I received was so great, I returned to the Women's Imaging Center for my abdominal ultrasound, and my bone density exam.
