Expertise at Blades! 9/26/2008

My husband and I have been loyal clients to Missy for 11 years or more. She is truly talented and on top of her game. My husband and I are involved in many charities and serve on several boards around the city. We have sent her countless clients and we all go back to the same thing........She is TRULY a professional at what she does. When I come in, she is so uplifting and always offers her opinion on my cuts and color. I just leave it up to her, and I know I will be in great hands. When you go to the salon, you will be so pleased with the rooms each stylist has. I have never seen this concept until going to her. I don't think I could ever go back into the open area salon. We have had over the years many private conversations in her room. She is not only my hair designer, but I feel like she is a counselor too. Pros: MIssy Is UNBELIEVABLE!! Cons: None!!!!! more

Missy is the best. Whatever I ask for she can do. When I'm not sure what to do she gives me great ideas. I've had a lot of variation in the over 6 years since I've been her client and have never had a bad one. She stays very current with new products, styles and techniques and doesn't ever let me do something I would regret later. She is a great friend too. I look forward to my appointments with her - they are always a treat! Even more - Missy is a professional! Book in advance and never worry - she will be there. In 6 years she missed one appointment and that was because the salon had no water or power. Missy called us AND texted us the night before so we would know to not come. She then made another call to reschedule. You can't ask for anything more. She is the best!! Pros: Missy - I'd travel to the other side of town if I had to more

Greatest Highlight EVER!! 9/25/2008

I've been all over town trying to find someone that can do baby blonde highlights. My neighbors suggested I go see Missy at Blades, and now I know why. First of all, she ran right on time, and her personalty was extremely friendly and very personable. Not too mention she's cute as a ""button"". I told her exactly what I wanted as far as the color and she ""ACED"" it. My highlights look like baby blonde streaks against my already blonde hair. I could not be HAPPIER! I truly know why my neighbors drive from Zionsville to Castleton to see her. She's truly a winner!!!!! more

I have been going to Missy for 14 years. I leave it completely up to her on my highlighting and color. She is incredible! Everytime I go in she is a breath of fresh air. My family and I LOVE that she's always on time. You will NEVER wait any more than a couple of minutes if that. She really values her clients time, as well as her own. I also appreciate her confidentiality. Over the past 14 years, I have sent her endless amounts of business, and I know with me as she does with everyone, she would never "" kiss and tell"". It's always a pleasure to have my hair done at Blades. It's relaxing, beautifully decorated, and always very clean. I particularly love the fact that each stylist has their own private individual studio. Pros: Everything! Most particularly, Missy Cardenas!!! Easily accessible location! Cons: It's located off the beaten path in Castleton but it's easy to get in and out of during heavy traffic more

I found Blades Salon and specifically Carol through an online search, and I am so glad that I found her!!! She is by far the best stylist I have ever been to. From the initial call I made to her last November, to the color I had last Thursday, she is always friendly, funny, nice, talented and professional. Terrible haircut, avoid!!! 4/17/2008

I went to get a trim, my hair had layers, when I came out layers were gone. I wanted it taken up an inch but keep the style. I am not sure why she did not trim the layers at all. Carol was the stylist. Now I have to find someone else to trim up the layers. Pros: parking Cons: bad work more

I love my hair! 4/16/2008

I have been seeing a wonderful stylist for a few years now named Carol Fishburn. Typically I get a cut and highlight. The nice thing about my highlights is that she makes them look so natural half the time no one notices that I have even had it done. Now thats what I call good coloring! Recently I had hair extensions put in by her as well. My hair is about shoulder lenght and she put in a few bundles to extend my hair to my mid back. The color matches perfectly, she cut them so they naturally flowed into my original hair, and it didnt take long at all! They are so easy to maintain and everyone loves my new look! Outstanding Salon 8/20/2007

What a wonderful experience! This is a beautifully decorated salon with friendly service and very talented stylists. I went to Donna and she created a style for me that was the best look I have ever had. I now have a modern, professional appearance. Donna took her time and helped me know how to do the style every morning with quick ease. Thank you Donna, I will be back. Big city quality and service!! 2/21/2006

I gave this place a try after reading about them in Indianapolis Women's Monthly, and I'm so glad I did. I got one of the best haircuts I've ever had. Missy is the best!
