Ok, so Black Angus is pretty much the same wherever you go. Expectations should be moderate, and if you have a coupon to use, then you are well on your way to getting your money's worth. So here's the rub: My girlfriend and I had a coupon, but we didn't make that apparent when we ordered. The waiter took our order, and then he did something interesting: he looked twice over his shoulder and said that we could pick out an appetizer FOR FREE. (We were just not supposed to say anything.) Well, this sounds good, right? I don't know this guy from Abraham, but he wants to show me his loyalty to the company who writes his check. So, we picked one: the variety plate! And what he did next was absolutely amazing! He gave us a FREE dessert! He must really like us. :) Then the bill came, and I presented him with our ""Buy one, get one half off"" coupon. And he said that he couldn't take it. Excuse me? You won't take a coupon that this establishment has placed in the Sunday Times? You see, what he was doing was giving us the ""SPECIAL,"" which was a predetermined price for two steak dinners, a shared appetizer, and a shared dessert. Nothing was actually going to be ""free."" We weren't suppose to know that though. We were supposed to be thankful for his secretive kindness and perhaps give him a larger tip since he ""saved"" us money. Well, he did have to accept the coupon, or else the manager would have been summoned. I don't think he wanted that. So, his motives being challenged, we did get a free desert and appetizer PLUS half off as the coupon dictated. Nice employees! Give the place a shot!
Pros: Meets your minimal expectations
