I've heard the food is excellent, and I guess it must be because they certainly are not making any effort to get business. I called to ask about making a reservation for a 25th wedding anniversary dinner for my parents. I was immediately told, ""We don't take reservations"" in a very firm voice. I then asked, if that was the case even for larger parties, and was asked what day and how large - which got my hopes up. When I said Monday, July 30 for 12-14, the tone turned absolutely snobby and I was informed that they do not serve large groups after 5:30 pm, the whole group must be present and must be seated by 5:30 or we would be turned away. They didn't even try to soften the rejection with a ""so sorry we can't accomodate you, hope you will come at another time, they just disconnected."" Believe me I won't make the mistake of offending them with my business again. Too bad, because my parents were very fond of the restaurant and now have a poor opinion of the attitude. I guess business is booming, even on a Monday night. Maybe if it were a winter anniversary the response would've been diffeent. I grew up in NJ, I should've remembered the rudeness that amplifies in the summer tourist season. Living too long in the friendly Midwest has really given me false expectations.
Pros: I heard the food was excellent.
Cons: No reservations, does not accomodate groups
