There is a reason when everyone on the island go there. Excellent food & service offered by this family-owned restaurant. This is the best restaurant in the island. more

I am sure it could be worse, I just dont know how. The wait staff is worse than a bus station in NYC. The decor is so dated the cobwebs have children. Did I mention the staff is so indeferent and rude that take out from KFC in the Phillipeans is a better experience. Don't waste the time or the money on this dinasore. The owners should be embarrassed at how far the place has fallen. Go anywhere but this palace. After 14 years the best hope is to close and someone with some manners and a touch of class reopenens a new restaurant. My god what a waste of an evening. more

I've heard great things about Chez Jean Pierre, but the one time I ate there I was unimpressed. The decor was dated; the atmosphere was stuffy. The wait staff was extremely attentive. My mother's Cassoulet was fine, and my Osso Buco was adequate, though boring and possibly overcooked.\r \r Perhaps I just don't get the Palm Beach dining scene. Based on reputation alone, I'd be willing to give this place another try. Chance are, however, I'll be trying somewhere else next time I'm in town. more

I had average lamb, sat in an uncomfortable chair and had average service. I didn't see anyone else at my table impressed either. Only strong positive was a great wine list. more

Top Notch 12/30/2002

Chez Jean Pierre is top notch. Once you step into one of the many dining rooms you'll see why; it is chock full of Florida's elite. In fact Hugh Grant happened to be dining at the bistro during our evening visit. The ambiance is funky--walls have paintings overflowing their canvas & frames sprawling across the wall. However, it seems in places the artwork is haphazard and inelegant. Yet it is not so much the ambiance here, but the food that will please customers. Excellent wine list, superior potato leek soup, the fresh & simple preparation of Holland ""Dover Sole"" accompanied with a lemon, butter & parsley sauce was delicious. I feel the fish was overpriced at $35.00. The price tag was more like an import fee considering the fact that the fish is flown in fresh daily from Holland. The creme brulee, frozen souffle and Terry's coffee were fantastic desserts! more
