Best

I have been going to Bisque Art with my kids since 1998. My family has created so many fun memories from bisque art and our pottery is displayed through out our house. I can not...

Worst

My sister and I went to this place with our kiddos. What a mistake!!! The owner (lady) was the rudest person I have ever met in my life! Totally lost her cool and customer service...

Editorial review from Citysearch 7/14/2012

Apparently the owner thinks because I'm a white male with a southern accent that I agree with his racist right wing politics. I do not. While my 17 year old daughter & I were painting we had to hear his story & accent of black marine sargent Smith. We were offended. When I went back to pick up the pieces I had to hear how biased the local paper is to Democrats & against Republicans. Again I was offended. We won't be going back & based on my 2 visits he needs every customer he can get. more

Please don't go to this pottery place!!! Please READ!!!!! 4/8/2012

I went to this place with my 2 kids and the owner of the place totally ruined my children's 1st experience at a pottery place. Her people skills were lacking from the start and she wasn't friendly at all. My kids are 3 and 5 and she was constantly watching us making sure we didn't mess up her table area. Don't use too much paint, don't use too much paper towels, you name it. She actually conveyed to me that young kids are too messy and she just acted like she hated kids. Additionally, she was very disrespectful to me as a customer. She was very argumentative with me, threw her hands in my face, and she said very inappropriate things to me that I can't write online. Please, please do not go to this place!!!!!!!!! Their is a GREAT pottery place at the Factory and their is a nice place downtown. I just couldn't believe that this lady was actually the owner. It was a VERY disappointing experience and I left their very displeased. more

Beware!!!!! If you have toddlers (4 year old to 5 year olds) 4/8/2012

My sister and I went to this place with our kiddos. What a mistake!!! The owner (lady) was the rudest person I have ever met in my life! Totally lost her cool and customer service was dismissal!!!!!!! From the start you could tell that she did not tolerant little ones. Did not want them touching anything or offer anything extra like an extra paint brush!!!!! One of the kiddos bumped into the water on the table. Well let me tell you that started that we were the worst customers that she ever had. My sister asked for extra napkins and she literally slapped the extra napkins in my sisters hand. Who does that? This woman seriously has emotional problems. I am a teacher in this county!! Do you really think I would let my kiddo be messy in a place??????????????? This place is only for adults or kids who are way older. I even asked earlier on if our kiddos were too young. She said no and that she had this age all the time. This woman should be ashamed of herself. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In fact, it was so bad I don't even think I will pick up my daughter's artwork. We will just start the memory somewhere else. more

Best Pottery Studio I Have Ever Been Too 2/8/2010

I have been going to Bisque Art with my kids since 1998. My family has created so many fun memories from bisque art and our pottery is displayed through out our house. I can not remember a single trip there that was not FABULOUS!!!!! I still have the plaque with my kids handprints that they helped us make. The couple that own Bisque Art are truly wonderful and remember me and my kids every time we come in to paint. I can not imagine a better pottery studio than Bisque Art. Pros: Very friendly staff who are always helpful. Cons: None At All more

Great Service and lots of fun 2/4/2010

I have gone to Bisque Art several times before and have always been greeted with a smile. The staff has always been extremely helpful and answered all questions I have had. I went in yesterday, however and had the best experience yet. The owner, an older man made my experience outstanding. He held a conversation with me for most of the time that I was there and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know him and more about his store. I painted bowls and had such a relaxing experience. I highly recommend this as a place to have fun with your children or to have a relaxing afternoon by yourself. more

I'll never go back 7/21/2009

My daughter and I got to the parking lot and a YMCA bus was unloading to go to bisque art. It was 10:45 and they opened at 11:00 as I checked on the web that am b-4 coming. We drove from Cary so it was a bit of a drive. We waited outside for approx. 10 mins. The owners husband saw us out there, I'm sure. A few mins. later, I popped my head in to inquire if they were open to the public that specific am. After looking at the clock he told me, "not for 3 more mins". So, Ok we continued to wait. At 11:05, I decided to leave. As we were walking away, he opens the door and shouts "ok, we're open now". I shouted back, "ok, thank you" and continued to my car. I will not go back. MY question is what difference would 3 minutes have made? I was supposed to wait 3 minutes until 11:00 on the dot yet, he, knowing that we were waiting, made us wait after 11:00. Very poor customer service. I'll stick with Crazy Glaze in Fuquay from now on. Cons: bad customer service more

Rude service was bad, refusal to acknowledge it was worse 12/30/2008

We went to get a gift for my mother. Our 4 year old was going to make her a heart shaped ceramic container. When we went inside, we were told rather rudely by the woman working there that the items would not be available by Christmas. OK, we're Jewish - this is a birthday gift, we don't care; a sign could have said the same thing. Then we were asked if we were both painting. The entire reason we were doing this is so my mom could have something that our daughter made, so I said just she was painting. The woman then went on and on about her washing her hands. Trust me, lady, her hands are clean. When the piece was ready, I went over some sections to make it dark enough to show up. She saw this and said "I guess the both of you are painting then." OK, fine, I'll pay for 2 - fair enough, but still tacky. When the piece was washed, she snatched it away saying that my daughter obviously couldn't do it. (She would have been perfectly capable). There was one other woman in the store. I told my daughter that she wasn't being a nice lady and that we wouldn't be coming back. I apologized to the only other customer, if we were disturbing her, and she said "No, I'm totally with you - this is MY last time coming here too!" Lastly, as I was paying, my daughter was playing with some sponges - nothing breakable - the lady snatched them away and said "OK, you had your turn, come back another time". I hadn't had such rude service anywhere in years, so after thinking about it, I called the place later and asked if there was a manager I could speak to to describe the horrible experience. The manager turned out to be the woman's husband..awkward. But rather than let me explain how rude his wife was, he did not listen at all and just made excuses; that she was stressed due to the Holidays - how stressed could she have been with 2 customers in the store? Pros: Neat concept Cons: Ruined by terrible service more

I Love Bisque Art! 3/31/2006

I loved my painting experience at Bisque Art! I've taken their mosaic and painting classes and became so enamored with the process I ended up painting my everyday dish set there! The fact that I can use these ""works of art"" is what attracts me most to pottery painting. I know I'll be back in the near future - with such a friendly and helpful staff, they really make you feel welcome. Pros: good value, great parking, close to restaurants more
