The chicken parm sandwich...well, when I opened its sad little styrofoam tomb I gazed upon one of the finest looking examples of the genre I have ever seen. Undoubtedly one of the top five chicken parm sandwiches I have ever eaten, and I'm a chicken parm eater. The sauce was a deep red, thick and robust. It tasted like it sat on a stovetop slow-cooking in some Grandma's kitchen all afternoon. The chicken was a deep-fried patty, as is usual, but it had a surprise: the coating wasn't the usual breading style, it was more like beer batter or tempura. Thick and very crispy. Chicken was perfectly cooked.
