Food was alright, Joe's is better, the scenery outside the windows is amazing, but too bad the atmosphere inside is stuffy and appears to have not been updated since before I was born. I probably would've been happier eating at the Taco Shack across the street. more

The best!! 4/11/2011

The best restaurant in the Hollywood Beach! - I've been to this restaurant several times and I love it! The first time I went, I almost drool over the menu as I read the wide variety of dishes they offer and they turn out to be amazing. Since then when we get tempt with seafood we go directly to Billy's without a doubt, and it has be awesome everytime. Portions are huge and perfectly prepared. Stone Crabs are perfection. Besides, the staff is outstanding. I am recommending this place to everyone I know! more

Billy's is located on a pleasant Intercoastal waterfront location in Hollywood. It serves luncheon and dinner with its claim to fame being the Stone Crab. The stone crab they served is in fact very good and its indoor market also retails it. It's not up to Joe's Stone Crab of Miami, but unlike Joe's your table is usually ready when you arrive. As everyone knows, Joe's never has anything ready when you arrive, preferring to lead to bar for at least an hour, and that is only if they took a reservation from you. \r \r Basically all of the food at Billy's is nicely prepared, tasty and served in good size portions. It is expensive, not ungodly so, and I thought worth it for what you get.\r \r I particularly like lunch. More reasonable in price, less hassle and sitting under one of the swinging picnic table canopies on the dock provides a nice atmosphere. \r \r As for service, I didn't find that to really be all that good, but at least passable. more

  • Billy's Stone Crab Restaurant is known far and wide nationally and internationally as one of THE best seafood restaurant & market in the Ft. Lauderdale area. And for a good reason. Billy's two story fine dining seafood restaurant, is accessible both by elevator and stairs and has floor to ceiling captivating views of the Intracoastal Water Way in the main elegant dining room. The sunset is magnificent. And at night, when the draw bridge of Hollywood Boulevard is illuminated and the lights change colors, the view is quite spectacular, making the restaurant a preferred city spot.
