Best

You feel like a kid in a candystore or a scout on a camping trip when you come to Bigfoot's Lodge. Pros: Marshmallows + beverages = love

Worst

I was looking forward to checking this place out. When I arrived I thought the decor was great and it had a fun vibe. I ordered a Seven & Seven and it was awful. Very weak pour...

A local bar. The workers here are nice. The space is not that that big hug a good place to get a drink if your around the area. It's not a crowded place. more

Chill environment 9/23/2010

Pretty busy 4 a monday night. good service, fair prices plus karaoke. i dont sing but watching tipsy people act like it was american idol made for an enjoyable night. more

Give me a break 7/28/2008

If you like your bars tacky, your girls trashy and your beer week, here's the bar for you. more

awesome place, little watery though 6/22/2008

amazing atmosphere, dark and cozy, excelent music. The Bartenders are super friendly, the waitresses are very cute with there scout 'uniforms'. One of there signature drinks 'the girlscout martini' is amazing... Pros: awesome atmosphere, amazing staff, excellent music Cons: stick to beer, the hard stuff isnt that hard. more

Fun decor, very weak drinks 6/4/2008

I was looking forward to checking this place out. When I arrived I thought the decor was great and it had a fun vibe. I ordered a Seven & Seven and it was awful. Very weak pour and over priced. My second drink was just as weak as the first. Bigfoot Lodge gets over crowded very quickly and it is a pain in the rear to get a drink at the bar. Do yourself a favor and either pre party before you go so you don't waste too much money on the bad drinks or stick to beer which they can't water down. Pros: Fun decor Cons: Weak, over priced drinks more

Hipsters High Hipsters Low Hipsters On The Ceiling GO! 5/30/2008

I started going there years ago. It's a super place but can get a little crowded at peak times. Karoke Mondays are cool. Stop,Revolt. played there once when they still had bands. I like National Forest themes. more

Great bar 5/29/2008

I love to meet a large group of friends here. It's busy but not too crowded, the staff is fun, and the drinks are strong. One of my fave bars in LA Pros: Staff, drinks, atmosphere, lots of fun Cons: None really more

A place to unwind 2/6/2008

Comfortable atmosphere, not too crowded or too hip, but hip enough with good music, excellent decor and good drinks. The staff is friendly and easygoing. Vaguely reminds me of something from David Lynch's Twin Peaks. Pros: Feels like your living room Cons: eventually you have to leave more

good crowd, non pretentious, good music, and prices 12/23/2007

I came here before moving to Los Angeles and really felt at ease. Nice friendly folks. Check out the website for theme nights. Good drinks and fair prices. more

The absloute tops 11/17/2007

interesting non-pretentious people. hot dudes that look like morrissey with tattoos and hot rods. the music is fantastic. punk and rock. all the things I have on my ipod. there isn;t a dance floor, but people tend to get down anyways. more

Super cute bar - in a good way 10/6/2007

I went there because the crowd at the Derby was too much like something I would find at Forbidden City or Ivar. I love Silver Lake and Atwater but I never knew this place existed. It looks like a hole in the wall but then you walk in and there's a raccoon playing peek-a-boo from a log and you see this place that is themed out! There is a real cute fireplace with little log stumps for chairs and the fireplace is actually a vent for the a/c. The drinks were good, prices were moderate, and the crowd was a great mixed group of people. The music was good too and it wasn't too loud so that you couldn't hold a conversation. Even though it was a Saturday night and there were tons of people seating wasn't difficult to find and waiting for drinks wasn't bad. Only bad thing was that I don't think they have a smoking patio so you had to walk out and smoke and walk back in. Pros: Atmosphere Cons: Definitely no dancing and parking is someone else's front yard more

Pretty Rad 9/6/2007

This place is pretty rad! I live close by so I just walk on over. The drinks are great especially the specialty drinks and they're well-priced. Just get there early on the weekends because seating is limited. Pros: awesome location, fun atmosphere Cons: limited seating on weekends more

Great Theme and Fun 8/12/2007

I visited here from NY and it had a great theme and decor. It had a Vermont inn feel and there was seating. The crowd seemed mix and the music variety was good. The bartender was working it as well. Fun place, check it out. It's something out of the ordinary. more

Best bar to relax in 7/2/2007

Well when I first ventured to the bigfoot lodge I was a little skeptical due to the fact that we might encounter a whole lot of trendies from LA. Well to my shock this is the opposite of the LA scene. The first time I went there I was amazed to see all walks of life in this bar. The workers are the the best I have encountered at a bar. The atmosphere of this local is cozy and so relaxing. You can just sit and chill with you best friends. To top it off the drinks are excellent. I recomend the their entire specialty drink menu I have tried them all and loved them. I recomend the sasquach but you wont remember the rest of the night. Another great experience is the bingo night on Sundays. A free bingo game where the prizes are free booze or a prize. Before you know it, it will be last call cause you are having to much fun. I recomend to all. Pros: great drinks, great locale, great barteneders Cons: none at the moment more

Real chill place! 5/15/2007

This place is sooo chill and diverse. You don't any pretentioness from LA anywhere! Since I work weekends I go to Bingo Sundays and it's really fun. Having a buzz and playing bingo is awesome and while watching weird 8mm stock footage. Their speacialty drinks are delicious like the Girl Scout and the Toasted Marshmellow. Good mixed drinks and the service is great. Underneath the bar are hooks to hang your purse and coat if needed which is handy and you don't see that around in L.A. It's a good big bar too but on Saturdays it gets hoppin so come around 9pm for a good seat. I would highly recomend it so anyone who lives in L.A! Pros: The music and the atmosphere. Cons: Like any good bar it gets crowded and it could get a little hot too with all the people. more

Good place to hang out and drink 12/15/2006

Loving the scene, people are real, not the typical Hollywood crowd. The log cabin feel is right on. Drink prices are average. Pros: Location, away from the crowded Hollywood area, freeway accessible Cons: None yet..... more

love it! 7/7/2006

this place is amazing! i love it because the service is great and you don't feel like your in LA. there is absolutely no pretentiousness at this bar... if your into tattooed chicks and PBR well, you have found mecca... the drinks are stout and not too expensive... for me, the best thing about this bar is the music and the people. the mix of people may lean a bit heavily on the rockabilly crowd. BUT there are enough others that mix in as well... i LOVE that i can go to the bigfoot lodge and hear my favorite punk rock songs of my adolescence, like the misfits and the dead kennedys intermixed with 80s hair metal and new wave. love it! more

Interesting Atmosphere 2/23/2006

Lighting and atmosphere is very relaxing, seems like cool people frequent this bar. Pros: Nice for couples, Nice staff, Roost close by Cons: No pool tables, No jukebox more

bigfoot tuesday nights 2/15/2006

if i was a single gal i'd be at bigfoot trying to get my swerve on all the time! i had never been there so my boyfriend and i decided to check it out. we walked right in and up to the bar and got served great drinks immediately. the prices were pretty average - not too bad - and while we were sitting down in the booth - a polite waitress got us drinks right away. great service overall! + i heard tuesdays nights at bigfoot are the best. Pros: service, atmosphere, single scene more
