This ceremony and reception were held on a boat. On this particular day, the weather was a big factor in causing many of the issues with the photography and videography. There were very large wind gusts and a fast approaching heavy rainstorm which combined to force the entire wedding to be indoors in a very tight setting. This obviously created quite the challenge for optimum photography/video angles. The photographer did take the Bride and Groom up on deck (even with rain a definite threat) after the ceremony to attempt to capture some shots however with the high winds it was less than ideal and blowing hair in this situation is unavoidable. It may be unfair to expect us to make a wedding look perfect when the weather is less than perfect. Regarding asking family and friends to record video greetings, we will attempt to do that if asked. However if they say "come back a little later" or otherwise decline as often happens, the videographer should respect that person?s wishes. We won't browbeat them to do it. Photographers can't always keep guests from moving around through the venue when photos are being taken. Many Brides want a more un-posed ook to their photos.-Photojournalism or Documentary Style. In this case, our Photographer expended extra efforts to get better shots, but the weather did not allow her to do so. Our Video/Photo manager spent a lot of time trying to work with this Bride to work out a compromise that would make her happier. Unfortunately, this Bride refused to negotiate or be mollified. She continued to refuse to consider any attempt to do so. Her reaction was to post a one-sided tirade against us in as many places as she could. more

Nothing but DISSATISSFIED 9/8/2008

I just wanted to let all of you Pittsburgh BRIDE-TO-BE's know to STAY CLEAR of BIG DAY ENTERTAINMENT. My husband and I went through them for our DJ, Photographer, and Videographer and were nothing but dissatisfied with their services. Originally we felt very comfortable since they were a one-stop-shop that had been around forever. They gave us an information packet to fill out for each vendor that included tons of information. The problem lies here... NONE OF THE VENDORS REFERRED TO THE INFORMATION PROVIDED! Our videographer was given specific direction to "interview" bridal party, parents, grandparents, and anyone else interested... WE GOT 5 TOTAL INTERVIEWS!!! Neither my mother, nor his parents, were asked to speak on video. We even paid to have TWO videographers so nothing would be missed. Our photographer was worse... She was given a list of "must have" photos. Included on the list, but not taken were: Bride/Groom & MOH/BM, B/G & our siblings, & B/G with flower girl/ring bearer (my neice and nephew). The photos that WERE taken had NO ATTENTION TO DETAIL. There are ones that have other people in them, because she didn't ask them to move, nor did she zoom in to eliminate them. We also have photos that my dress needed fixed yet she didn't take a second to fix it, or wait until the wind died down so our hair isn't blowing in our face. All of this may have been overlooked until I recieved my proof book with the wrong wedding date on it! I have spoken to the photography/video manager and she is nothing but RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. She has commented about how this sort of thing happens all the time...and "its human error." All this may be true, however, the services we paid for were supposed to be PROFESSIONAL. Unfortunately what we got was AMATURE and LACKED IN CUSTOMER SERVICE! more
