Editorial review from Citysearch 8/18/2013

I am very disappointed to have to write this review. Biaggi's was one of my top-3 favorites for years. However, after our most recent visit, I don't think we'll be returning. The prices have increased, and the portions have gotten smaller. Jason, the manager does not interact well with the patrons. Very disappointing. more

Wonderful management and staff 4/2/2012

I just had my daughter's 1st birthday party here, and I have to say that my husband and I were both extremely happy with the service and attention our party received. We had about 40 people for the lunch party, and pretty much everything we asked for, the restaurant was able to accommodate. The guests seemed to enjoy the food, and the servers and management were so friendly and concerned about keeping everyone happy. They really helped make the party go smoothly and I am very grateful to the management and staff. more

Great Food and Service 4/1/2010

I have been to Biaggi's many times and have always meant to write a review. The food is excellent; I have never has anything off of the menu that wasn't.. They are always willing to make substitutions of any sides and accept special orders pleasantly. This is my family's favorite place to dine. Pros: Everything - Food, service, value, cleanliness, oarking more

Great restuarant 11/6/2009

Family and I just went out to Biaggi's tonight and I must say the negative reviews were no help. We almost didn't go, but I am so glad we went. I had the shrimp and crab cannelloni, my husband had the osso buco, and the kids had pizza and spaghetti ($5.99). Every meal was DELICIOUS!!!!!!!! It was our first visit but it won't be the last. Oh one more thing the bread pudding A+, tiramasu A-. Pros: Kid friendly, delicious food, excellent service, very clean Cons: waitress seemed a little clueless more

Got lost and lucky 4/7/2009

From good to bad 3/20/2009

This pains me since this used to be one of my favs for a couple of years. The last two times I ate here, I noticed they removed my favorite entree from the menu. When I asked they said they regularly change the menu and always have, which was a bold faced lie. They even changed the bread. I tried some kind of entree I have tried to forget and it was terrible. The quality just wasnt there and the portions were smaller. I guess economic times are rough for everyone, but a restaurant shouldn't remove quality items and skimp on food. This place was pretty empty the last two times I went there and once was on a Friday night. I guess its only a matter of time before the cheapness kills this restaurant. Pros: Decorative Cons: Food more

Pretty Good Food,.... Service ? 1/19/2009

This review is based on unusual circumstances. I drive a Big Limo Bus and as a result, get to dine for free at the restaurants that I bring my passengers to! Yes, lucky me (most of the time). I do not believe that the folks at Biaggi's were familiar with the custom of ""Taking Care"" of the bus driver...so I had to educate them.\r \r I was seated at a two-person booth and within a few minutes, was greeted by my server, Kate. This was the only, really bad part of the evening. Once Kate became aware that I was being fed for free, she must have assumed that her ""Gratuity"" was foregone as well. Because after taking my order, it was thirty minutes (after having finished 4/5's of my meal) before I saw her again! I had to ask another Waiter for bread. And let me add here that the gratuity I left her was very generous. Had I paid for my meal, she would have received ""0"". Never assume Kate...never assume!\r \r Now, as for the food.... I ordered the Veal Parmesan. This is served with ""spaghetti topped with our garlic Alfredo sauce"". First the Veal, as stated in the menu, they were quite tender....deliciously so! The breading was light and had a nice crispness to it...very nice! I found the sauce on the veal to be a bit on the bland side, and one-dimensional, but good. The serving size was more than ample; I'm a big boy and I could not finish it all.\r \r The Pasta was cooked Perfectly! ...firm, but done. But the ""garlic Alfredo sauce"" was remiss of any garlic that I could detect. In fact, I thought it was just a light cream sauce (which was tasty)...but should be served in a separate plate or bowl since it mixes with the Veal's marinara sauce.\r \r All in all, the food was pretty good. I'll be back to try some of the other dishes. Note to the floor manager* spend less time doing service work and talk to your Customers !!! I did not see you make a single customer contact while I was there....and that is certainly more important that placing flatware! Pros: Good Food (not great), Beautiful Restaurant Interior Cons: Pretentious Waitress, Manager not On-the-Ball, too many noisy kids more

mmm mmm good 3/7/2008

Walking into the restaurant dazzled me from the start. It was beautifully done with a great sense of atmosphere. The service was wonderful from the hostess down to the bus boy. The Bread is great and for some reason I feel that if the bread is good, the food should be too. I was not disappointed. I ordered the Lobster Fettuccine and it was magnificent. The place was clean and nicely designed. I am now a regular customer and words cannot describe how glad I am to have found this restaurant.\r Pros: Great Everything Cons: far from my house more

love this restaurant. 1/12/2008

we have become regulars at this place. when we visit on weekends, we have never had to wait long. if we did, it was only about 20 minutes (and you could go to the bar area to wait while having a drink).. the food has always been excellent - i recommend the fra diavolo, lobster linguini, or linguini with clams. they are all soo good. and their bread is great too! i've never had a problem with their service here. all the wait staff seemed like they knew what they were doing. Pros: great food, great service, plenty of parking more

I just moved back to the area and couldn't wait to go eat here again! 1/1/2008

This is one of my favorite resturants in the entire Raleigh area. The salads are fresh, with great presentation. The entrees always exceed my expectations. The deserts are a nice finish(if youi still have room left). The staff is very attentive and willing to help with suggestions. One of the unique aspects I really like about this location is the active management staff. You constantly see the managers walking around the resturant, talking to customers and staff to make sure everything is to your liking. The atmosphere is comfortable for both couples and large groups. more

Okay food, way over priced 12/9/2007

The restaurant has a good atmosphere. The bar staff is a bit snooty but the waitress/waiters were great. Our meal consisted of the following -\r \r Salad - I've had better salads at Village Draft House.. wayyy better salads. I couldn't take but 2 bites of this one.\r Eggplant Parmesean - Okay, nothing special.. at this price.\r Crab/Artichoke Dip - Very Good! \r Pros: Okay food, Nice Waitress, Good Atmosphere Cons: Over priced, okay food, not worth the price more

Great for private parties! 10/17/2007

I love Biaggi's- I had my bridal luncheon there. The service, food and atmosphere were PERFECT! We had reserved the wine room which held 14 of us. They printed a nice limited menu (which I asked for) that had the name of our event on it and the choices. This made things very simple for my guests. The menu had a background that was appropriate for the occasion- nice touch. The waiters were there for everything we needed. The venetian chicken salads, my personal favorite, were the biggest I had ever seen! :) We brought in our own cake and they cut and served it for us. I felt like they went out of our their way to make sure we were happy. Great experience! Pros: great food! more

Best Chicken Marsala ANYWHERE!!!!!!!!! 10/1/2007

I've tried this dish a lot of places I can't find a single place that is better\r Biaggis is easily my best restaurant in the RTP area\r If you have not been I'd highly recommend it!! Pros: In Cary, Romantic, Clean, Awesome food, Cons: Only if you don't go the cons exist! more

OK for a chain 8/31/2007

Have visted twice and both times have had decent service and the food is OK. Both lunch and dinner was a crowded house, and reservations were needed both times. The chicken caesar is a disappointment because the chicken has a batter - one usually expects a nice grilled chicken. Also, the unsweet tea has a rasbperry or peach flavor added - they should offer that as an option, not the standard. Both visits, our bread basket was not refilled. Not sure if that is the norm, but I appreciate a nice full bread basket. Lunch visit most recently, server was wearing a heavy cologne. I do not think servers should be allowed to wear cologne, at all. Pros: Nice parmesan with olive oil, and bread assortment Cons: Non-flavored unsweet tea; location more

Mediocre food and horrible service 3/29/2007

Chain restaurants usually disappoint me and this one was no exception. I dined at Biaggi's twice and both times were bad experiences, and I will not be going back a third time. The restaurant is in a nice new shopping center near presitgous Preston and looks great from the outside. However, once you get inside you find that the food is just mediocre and the service is pretty much non-existant. The specialty pizza I ordered for my lunch was really too greasy. The only pro about this place is their black currant iced tea, the flavor is excellent and is something different. However, they don't really believe in ice cubes here. The ice cubes melted quickly, and when I asked for a refill my glass was filled with more tea but no ice, leaving me with a glass of warm tea. The service was probably the worst I've experienced in the Triangle so far. Our server took our orders and then disappeared. Someone else brought our entrees and we had to beg for drink refills. We grabbed an employee and asked where our server was, and we were told he was in a staff meeting! What kind of manager holds a staff meeting when there are diners in the restaurant? Cons: bad service, mediocre food more

Worst italian food 1/5/2007

It seems that the food here comes sraight from the refrigerator, or worse, out of a can. I don't think I've been to a worse Italian restaurant in the Triangle. Sauces are bland and watery and the pizza's are overcooked and greasy. Save your money and get Domino's Pros: pleasant surroundings Cons: poor quality food and slow service more

Good, but not great 12/9/2006

When my husband want to go somewhere quick and easy we pick this place. We've never had a problem with the service, and the atmosphere is nice. The food is just alright - the lasagne is not bad but the pizzas are so greasy! more

I was not impressed 7/24/2006

As far as Italian food goes, it was just average and overpriced. Granted, I was with a networking group, but the service was less than expected. The food was not impressive, with strange ingredients, and then they got the bills mixed up and were rude about it. I will not be back. Pros: I met some nice gal pals there Cons: Thumbs down to ambience, food and service more

Great food 5/19/2005

Our BNI group had a couple of meetings at Biaggi's. The food IS fantastic. Superb service. Should I say more :-) more
