Poor property management service 4/29/2006

I have never had such a traumatizing experience with a property mgmt company before. B&B was horrible. The manager who managed the property I rented was never available for any repairs or issues I had. My only option was to leave a message because he would never answer his phone. He never even bothered to return my call or to give me a courtesy call to let me know that my requests have been acknowledged and would be taken care of. There was a great lack of communication between management and maintenance. My apt was uninhabitable for 17 days. I had been calling my property manager so we can discuss how my rent will be pro-rated. I left a message for him everyday. NO ONE returned any of my phone calls. When I was finally notified, I was only pro-rate for HALF of my rent for those days. ::: Their logic: only the shower was unavailable but the rest of the apt was still livable. ::: So you're saying I'm supposed to go without showering for 17 days!?!? Their train of thought is absolutely ridiculous, illogical, and inconsiderate towards their tenants. Often times when I have spoken with my manager, he was always rude and inconsiderate. He was never willing to alleviate an issue in a civil manner and with consideration. He was never considerate enough to inform tenants of changes among our apt community. His way of informing tenants was to wait until a tenant did something that was unauthorized. "Tenant: That's no longer allowed. Please resolve the issue or we will take action." They don't know the definition of "quality customer service", all they're concerned with is where the company's money is coming from and going into. They are extremely picky about their tenants. If you don't make a 6 figures, they don't believe you're capable of paying your rent and they will tell you so too without any respect or concern for your feelings. On one good note... this experience motivated me to become a homeowner! =) Cons: inconsiderate, poor quality customer service, rude, illogical, lack of communication, greedy more

Extremely bad service 8/25/2005

My husband and I have a condo that I was interested in having them manage for me. The property manager was so incredibly rude to me. This is the worst customer that I've ever encountered. I can't imagine what a renter has to go through! I couldn't put any potential renter in the hands of that jerk. Any other property management company would be better than them! more

Rude rude rude 6/8/2005

I had to leave my credit card with them to view a property I was interested in, upon returning the lady who took my card wasn't available. Another lady attended me and asked me to come back without even checking for my card. Their hours are 9 am to 5 PM and I cannot drive 40 mins to get my card back again without missing work. She blamed me for not returning the keys at the hour I was supposed to. Overall, I wouldn't deal with them if I have a choice. Cut the middlemen and go somewhere where they treat you like a customer and not doing you a favor. more

If you drive around the Pasadena area you will notice that alot of places have the Beven and Brock sign out in front.. and this is unfortunate. I recently inquired about their services and was told that if there is even one collection report on my credit report then I would have to look elsewhere. Good thing not every property management company uses this policy, there'd be a lot of homeless souls out there cursing there name as I will. When I suggested I could easily pay months in advance or a large deposit, they said they would not budge. Some prop. management companies still see the value of good renters that may have run into some financial problems years ago over a corporate credit report.. I'll be sure to seek them out. Poor managers 5/19/2002

I live next door to a house managed by them and it was a mess. I had to complain 2xs to get them to send a gardner for the waist high weeds because teh tenants they selected were not doing it. I finally called the owner, who once he dumped them had to do thousands of dollars of repair work to make the house occupiable. Cons: unresponsive, rude more
