I was moving back home to Delaware. DC was getting to expensive and my father wanted me to help him with the small family business. I filled information our online and the movers started calling me. . I was going overseas on another tour. I needed storage and packing and someone I could rely on. My fellow marine has used Best Way Moving before and suggested I call. When I contacted Best Way moving I spoke with Jerry. We went through my items. I wanted to get everything packed since I was going to be gone for a while. Jerry told me that they would be able to keep my items in their storage. The military was picking up the tab so I wanted full service. Jerry more

I highly recommend BEST WAY MOVERS. I recently moved and wasn't sure of who I should call, I found this wonderful company online and am very happy I did.\r The quote was almost to the penny. The guys were totally professional. They arrived at 10AM and had me move into my new place by 2PM. They were focused and would not even stop for a break even though it was hot and humid. Jerry kept his word and sent me the best of the best. Kudos to Igor, Eugene, and NIck. You three were amazing and your company needs to know you are all valued by myself and my family. If I ever need to be moved again, I know who to call. Hopefully Igor, Eugene, and Nick will still be around. YOU are the BEST. more

2. I am a procrastinator. It takes me forever to make a decision about anything. Moving was no exception. I had a lot of things on my mind and before I knew the moving date was upon me. I was a mess, nothing was packed and I didn?t have a mover. My newest neighbor recommended Best Way. I called them and although initially they didn?t have an open spot, they were able to move some things around and squeeze me in. Their crew came over and after some time I was moved in. They even put everything where I wanted it to go. Thank you Max and Crew for your hard work. more

Dear Aleksey Dubrovensky and Visitors.\r Now that everyone has read your version of the story, we want the people hear our side and decide who is right. \r Initially Aleksey contacted us because a company with which he had a moving contract canceled his move in the last second. He called us to ask if we could help. Our Relocation Consultant worked around clock to get him scheduled despite the fact that the call was made 3 days prior to the move and despite the fact that it was at the end of the month and in the midst of our busiest time. Our Relocation Consultant worked with the customer to create a detailed item list of the move. The customer provided us with every item that he was planning on moving. Based on this item list the total volume of the move was calculated to be 356 cubic ft (2495 lbs). \r An estimate was provided to the customer based on the volume of the move provided by the customer. The quote also included a 6% Fuel Charge, elevator fee at origin and storage price per month (Please note, 1st month of storage was free). All of these charges were clearly specified in the moving contract that was signed by the customer at the time of scheduling the move (contract on file clearly shows that and if anyone is interested in seeing it we would be happy to provide it). The contract contains details of all the extra charges that your move may incur based on specifications of the move (such as long carry, elevator fee, stairs fee, shuttle fee, redelivery, packing materials (based on usage) etc). The contract also notes that shuttle charge may be applied if the final destination does not have access for a 53ft trailer. In other words all the additional charges that the customer complained about and said that he wasn’t aware of were clearly stated in the contract that he signed, but apparently chose not to read. \r more

Also the customer claims that the original estimate that he received includes pick-up, full storage, and delivery to Indiana. In reality the estimate included the price for the volume of the move provided by the customer, fuel, 1 month of storage and elevator fee. Upon arrival on the day of the move our movers discovered that the “full” item list provided by the customer was not actually full, so the total volume ended up being 450 cubic ft or almost 100 cubic ft over the original estimate. Additionally some packing was required for glass items (mandatory). Also there was a long carry charge because there were 150 ft (first 75ft was free) between the truck and the door. The customer was aware of the possibility of this charge prior to signing the contract. The total price for the move was $1,733.00 NOT INCLUDING STORAGE (customer stored his items for 4 months at $180.00 per month (1st month was free). Speaking of storage, the customer says that we made an error when we quoted him the price for storage. The price for storage was based on the cubic footage. As we mentioned before the cubic footage was higher than estimated, thus the price for storage also changed. The customer was aware of the possibility of this change when he signed the contract.\r The customer also says that he gave us an exact day when he is ready for delivery 3 months in advance and he requested an exact day of delivery and said that we laughed at him; once again another inaccuracy. What really happened was once the pickup was made 0n 4/29/2010, we haven’t heard from him in almost 4 months. On 08/20/2010 at 11:45 a.m. (as our automatic system indicates) he called us to request September 3rd as his exact delivery date. Our representative explained that all long distance deliveries can only be made based on the delivery time frame. The time frame for Indiana is 1-10 business days as the delivery policy clearly states in the contract signed by the customer. On the pickup date for long distance moves all the customers are required to fill out a document that reiterates the delivery policy. This document shows the delivery time frame and requests that the customer fills in the first possible delivery day. Once this document is filled it is signed and dated by the customer. Mr. Dubrovensky signed this document and we have it on file, so the customer was aware that the exact delivery was not possible. \r more

Due to the nature of the business, and the fact that there are some things that we simply cannot control such as the weather, traffic delays, and unexpected mechanical issues sometimes delays may occur. This is also clearly stated in the contract signed by the customer. The customer called regarding his delivery status and was informed that due to some unexpected delays his delivery will be 5 days late. The customer told us that he understood that such things can happen and didn?t complain at all. In his review, the customer complains of our delivery time which was between 7 and 9 pm on Saturday. The delivery policy that Mr Dubrovensky signed also has a question whether or not a delivery could be made during the weekend and after 6 pm, he said yes (document on file). more

Absolute Nightmare! OVERCHARGED BY $1000! 10/17/2010

THIS WAS THE WORST MOVING AND CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT YOUR THINGS ON TIME!\r \r I moved my things out of an apartment in Alexandria, VA and into storage for the summer. At the end of the summer, I had them move my belongings and furniture into a place in Bloomington, IN where I am attending school. From the start, it was a nightmare to deal with them.\r \r I was given a quote from the company, though I was told it was very conservative based on the things I had. It was reasonable so I ordered my move with BestWay. When the movers showed up, they started adding on all sorts of fees that I was not told anything about and weren't mentioned on the quote I signed. They charged $75 for a carry fee, $75 for an elevator charge, $60 per picture for glass framed pictures. Happy with my move! 10/8/2010

I have lived in my house for over 40 years. My husband and I bought it sometime in the late 60’s. Over the years we accumulated a lot of things many of which were priceless to us as mementos from our life together, our children and our travels overseas. When my husband passed away last year, I was faced with a difficult decision. I wanted to be closer to my children, but they were all the way across the country, so moving had to be it. I was very nervous about moving and what it would be like, not to mention unknown people dealing with my possessions. My daughter contracted Best Way Moving to do the move for me. I was anxious, but when Joe and his crew arrived at the house and started packing, I suddenly felt at peace. They were very careful with my items and they packed everything for me. The following day, they loaded the trucks (it took 2) and I was on my way. Once the sale of my house was completed I flew to my daughter in Seattle. A week later my things arrived at my new home. Everything was in perfect condition and I was more than happy to pay. This was the only move I ever had and I was happy to see that the horror moving stories were not true. Fast and easy move. Great job. 10/7/2010

I needed to move pronto, as my lease was ending. I had a 1 bdrm apartment and I was moving into an even smaller studio. I had very few things, basic necessities; a bed, a dresser, 2 light futons, book case, computer, desk and about 30 boxes. I filled out my information online and got inundated with calls from moving companies. For some reason all of these companies gave me a quote for 3 or even 4 men. I couldn’t understand it. I had a small apartment and there is no way that it would take 4 guys 3 hours to move my meager belongings. Finally, frustrated I got a call from Best Way. They were polite, and offered something that finally made sense. 2 guys, 3 hours plus 1 hr travel for $300.00 + $50 bucks that I paid for some additional packing. Most of my stuff was already packed, so they made it easy. 3 hours and I was moved in. An A+ service and great, funny guys.\r Thank you more

Real professional! Great customer service! 10/6/2010

I used Best Way Moving while moving from Silver Spring to Toledo. I got a lot of crazy calls and quotes from a variety of moving companies. Most of the people that called me seemed only interested in pushing their shpeel and ignored me when I tried to interject and ask them a question. I got a wide range of prices starting from around $800 to over $2000 for my 1bedt plus den apartment. Although I got a variety of quotes, none of the callers seemed to be truly interested in my business. Then Jerry called me from Best Way Moving. He was courteous, polite; he listened to what I had to say and seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say. He sent me a contract and a packing price list. Everything that I saw on paper mirrored his words. Although Best Way Moving wasn’t the lowest quote I got, they had the best BBB rating by far and their customer service was second to none. When the moving day came, I was impressed with the professionalism and knowledge displayed by the Foreman and his crew. They were concerned with safety and condition of my furniture and other items. I decided to go with full packing. Although $1 per ft³ seemed like a lot, it surely saved me the hassle of packing myself and it was well worth it when it was unpacked upon arrival, everything was in the same condition as it when it left. Easy move! Highly Recommend! 9/14/2010

\r Recently moved from one condo to another in Washington DC, and very satisfied with service and attention i received from BestWay Moving! My both condo building required certificate of insurance, i had no problem to receive it from BestWay same day i booked the move. The price they quoted me was almost the same at the end. The difference was in packing materials. They packed my Tiffany lamp shades and some special artwork. But i was aware about extra charge for packing at the time of booking. The only thing that upset me a little , that i have to pay for parking ticket they got in DC while unloading my stuff. But i understand it's not their fault, because i showed them a space where to park the truck. \r So, the work was very efficient. In this past August we moved to Winter Haven FL, and used BestWay again. because of my job, we have to relocate every year or two. So, i really know what is this "moving"!. Moved my mother's apartment from Silver Spring to Baltimore. My friend recommend me this company, and now i will recommend them to all my friends. Movers were very patient with my mom, and very helpfull and hard-working. They really know the job. Effisient and courteous. \r The estimate was almost the same, Move took a little longer because sofa didnt fit in elevator, and movers have to use stairs to bring it all the way down. \r Thank you for your help.
