Best Buy Carpet & Floor

I fell in love with a location in Baton Rouge when I moved here and my only option was a house that was in very poor shape - several students had lived in it for several years with no eye to improvement or maintenance. I went on to buy the home but at the time it was only available for rent and in the condition it was in, there was absolutely no way I could live in it! I was referred to Toby Courville, the owner of Best Buy Floor and Carpet on Airline Highway. Toby introduced me to his sales staff who explained to me my options, pricing, product - everything I needed to know and more! Within two days I had placed my order and within a week the installers were in my house pulling up filthy carpet and replacing it with the most beautiful laminate flooring in my living room and hallways, carpet in my bedroom and tile in my bathroom. What a difference - it looks gorgeous, to the point of being unrecognizable! The sales people were knowledgeable, patient (I knew absolutely nothing about flooring) and it was obvious they cared. The installers pulled up filthy old carpets and installed the new - they went over and above what I had expected of them and not only did they lay my flooring but they cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend Best Buy Flooring and Carpet to anyone and have done many times. more

We had been looking for countertops for 8 months and was very undecided as our home was built in the late 1800's with periodic renovations. We didn't want anything too modern and the numerous choices on the market was overwhelming. Went into both of the Best Buy stores and found the staff to be very personable and knowledgeable about all types of countertops. We visited the store on Airline at Tom Dr and that is where we purchased our countertops. With the salesman's knowledge, experience and guidance we were able to narrow our search, and purchased granite that is perfect for our home and was within our price range. They worked with us on our schedule for installation, which was done within a very reasonable time frame. Their installers were very professtional, neat and made sure that we were happy with the installation.. I would definitely recommend Best Buy Carpet & Floor to anyone who wants a sales and service team that will try to help and satisfy their customers. more

This place was great all around. The sales guys were very knowledgeable and attentive, but not too push (always a plus in my book)! My hardwood floors were installed promptly (as promised) and without any problems - unlike the other part of my house that we are still working on fixing (yes, different store! - I learned my lesson).... I am definitely recommending this place to all family and friends. more

My Husband and I are very picky. So when it came to my kitchen countertops I was looking for the best. we check with other granite companies in the area and decided to purchased our granite countertops form Best Buy Flooring because It was the best buy and the staff was very knowledgeable about granite . We did not want the typical brown or black granite we wanted a little more exotic . The granite fabricator came out and measured the next day and in a week we had our countertops and are very happy with them the fabricator did a great job . Definitely would recommend Best Buy Flooring for Granite. more

Wanted to upgrade some laminate flooring I bought there but they didn't have the upgrade. They charged me a 25% restocking fee on UNOPENED boxes of laminate I had for 7 days. NO ONE volunteered to mention this fee before I purchased the flooring. Please read your receipt like a contract BEFORE leaving the store with your merchandise. In fact, if that were not enough, they overcharged me on the restocking fee by including the taxes in the fee. BUYER BEWARE!!!! Cons: 25% Restocking Fee on UNOPENED Merchandise more

They were not honest about the the time it would take to perform the installation. They said two days on ceramic flooring, but they did not show up until 10:00 am. on the first day, and on the 2nd day I called and rescheduled when they were not there at 4:10 pm. The installer did nothing to protect other items in my home or on my property. The installer dump the wash and dumped their mortar and grout buckets under my bushes and they ran over the azela with their truck. There are other items in the house that I am going to have to fix, because my spouse refuses to let these people back in my house, such grouting under the door frame and cleaning grout from the base boards. It will teach me not to check someone out of the Internet first. Pros: Good location, clean store. Cons: Very poor installers who in not concern with protecting your property. more
