Editorial review from Citysearch 12/15/2013

I came to this location to get a Christmas design gift card, I asked to speak to the manager after I walked into the customer service. David Pina, came and I explained that I'd like to change my gift card to a card with Christmas design. He said that we cannot do that, he grabbed the phone and started talking to someone. I approached him by the entrance to ask him a question and this is what he tells me. ""sir I just talked to the police and I cannot talk to you"" I said excuse me? He said ""Yes, I cannot talk to you any further and I have to leave. If I were you I would get out of here.""\r \r I, being totally shocked, came back in my car and I'm writing this review for everybody and hopefully someone from the corporate to see and know how rude ,disrespectful and unprofessional David Pina (Store Service Manager) was. I am also going to contact the corporate office, they need to hire professionals and train them how to treat customers.\r \r Now I see why this location has such low reviews on Yelp and Google. Obviously the corporate doesn't care, hasn't taken any actions and sadly it seems like customers are nothing but a number to BestBuy.\r \r I am not going to give my business to Best Buy after tonight. more

The phone Best Buy has been ringing for 15 minutes and no one has answered 2/23/2009

1. We tried to find a sales person to describe the difference in features justifying the $2000 price difference between a Pioneer Kuro and a Pioneer Elite TV. We had read the reviews in Home Theater Magazine, but wanted to hear from an in-store expert. After trying for over 30 minutes to get help from a salesperson, we found one, who told us this about the Elite "if you notice you're not in Best Buy, you're in Magnolia Home Theater, and if you're in here, you're BAD ASS." OK thanks -- but aside from the Elite being more "bad ass" what specifically is the difference between the TV's features? "The Elite is 10 times better in every way than the other TV" But what specifically is the difference? "Um, I don't really know - you have to ask a Magnolia rep."\r \r 2. We asked a Magnolia rep. She did not know the difference and went to find someone to help. Who did she get? Mr. Bad Ass - Um I don't really know. Thanks for nothing.\r \r 3. Wednesday Feb 11th. We bought the Kuro instead o more

Unhelpful, not knowledgable and don't answer their phones - I've gotten the runaround for a week! 2/23/2009

I'm summarizing this saga down to the bare essentials. If I detailed everything that we've been through in just trying to buy a TV, I would still be writing:\r \r 1. Sales Staff Not Knowledgeable - After trying for over 30 minutes to get help from a salesperson, we found one, who that the Pioneer Elite was in the Magnolia Home Theatre section and therefore ""10x better than the Pioneer Kuro"" and ""BAD A**."" But what specifically is the difference? ""Um, I don't really know - you have to ask a Magnolia rep."" Magnolia rep. did not know the difference either.\r \r 2. Geek Squad Not Expert - Geek Squad arrives to deliver the TV. Spend 45 minutes but are unable to make it work. They leave, taking the TV with them & promise to find us a new one and call us back same day. Later we find an installation instruction that had fallen out of the box. We think the Geek Squad ""experts"" forgot to push the master power button. They don't call us back. \r \r 3. Unresponsive - and when you can get someone you get the runaround -- Tuesday 17th through Friday 20th I call each day -- finally get confirmation from Home Theater Geek Squad that the TV is to be delivered on Tuesday 24th. \r \r 4. Monday 23rd. Called Best Buy Delivery Warehouse to confirm when the TV was arriving. Warehouse has no record of our TV and tell us to call Best Buy. Best Buy tells me to call Geek Squad headquarters, who handle delivery and set up of ""special orders"" Geek Squad headquarters has no record in their system of my TV and says that special orders are handled locally by the store.\r \r 5. I try to call Best Buy Burbank directly, and have called 10x today. Each time the phone rings for 15 minutes and I get cut off because no one answers. Pros: convenient and good selection Cons: Unhelpful, not enough staff, staff not knowledgable, don't answer phones, complete runaround. more

What customr service! 11/16/2008

This is the worst store in the world for assistance. You cant even get them by phone and the operator laughs each time you are disconnected. I would recommend seeing Charles at Circuit Cityin Burbank - he knows what customer service is all about and I will never, ever return to this store again!!! more

Too many employees huddled together not helping customers! 8/13/2008

Nobody wants to help you in this store. I've walked out of it many times disgusted. The last time I was in there I finally got help He immediately took me to the computer to show me what I was looking for and left. I couldn't find him again. The employees just stand around talking to each other and if you ask for help they either say it's not their section or they have a real bad attitude and act like you're interrupting them. This is not a good store to go to if you have any questions. I found Daniel at office depot friendly and willing to answer questions about computers. I don't think I'll go to this best buys again. more

WORST EXPERIENCE 4/25/2008

PHONE RINGS AND NO ONE PICKS UP = A SHERMAN OAKS (BETTER STORE) EMPLOYEE WAS ONHOLD FOR 7 MINS CALLING BURBANK STORE - I EVEN WALKED IN TO THE STORE ONLY TO NOT FIND MY CD BY THE WAY AND TELL THE MANAGER THAT IN A RECESSION RETAIL SHOULD TAKE CALLS AND TREAT CUSTOMERS BETTER more

Erik ,Computer Department 9/7/2005

Hi: I have been to many computer stores as well as retail stores, it has been my experience no one seems to deal with customers or even consider customer service as an important quality anymore, until I came to Best Buy in Burbank, where I met a salesman with not only OUTSTANDING qualities in customer service, but his product knowledge and honesty was exemplary. His name was Erik, he took time with me, was patient, and answered all my questions and concerns, his display of sincerity and time he took ,makes me not only want to come back to Best Buy in Burbank, but, to also tell my HUNDREDS of friends about the service I received from Erik, as well. It reminds me of how it used to be long ago, when people really did care about helping you, and it seems Erik , has encapsulated every aspect of customer service and made it a thing of the present, instead of it being a thing of the past. Good Job Erik, I hope Best Buy, hires more like you! I am going to tell all the people I know to sh more

Good prices, poor customer service 6/30/2005

It's so frustrating when you're ready to drop a bundle on a pricey toy and nobody seems to want to sell it to you. This Best Buy should be better staffed. more

Good Service after Frustrating Wait 6/29/2005

This location (and possibly others I'm sure) should start incorporating a "take-a-number" waiting system in their computer department. I found myself ready to buy a computer and unable to get help. I had to practically hold on to the service rep to keep him from running off there were so many other customers hovering around with questions, etc. more

so-so 6/8/2005

they're not as complete as the other branches of best buy i've been to, sometimes they don't even have the stuff that's advertised on their flyers and like the dvds and cd box sets are usually in a mess, it's so hard to find anything more

Huge Best Buy dealer 6/8/2005

I think this is the largest Best Buy I've ever gone to. Usually at large chains it is hard to find a good staff person to help with questions, but this is not true here--I received excellent help when purchasing a refrigerator. The clerk even offered to help me with transporting it. Great place! more

staff 3/24/2005

man these dudes are so kewl amd know their stuff and always help me out alot. we don't go anywhere else except to the burbank store and thanks for all your help guys jay more

Good place for electronics 3/19/2005

The prices are low however on some items the prices may actually be higher so beware of that. All the stores are large and have so many different appliances and electronics and even stereo equipment. however if your looking for computer stuff such as CPUs and video cards the selection isnt so large. They have a huge amount of dvds and cds not to mention Tvs and DVD players. The customer service isnt that good however so i hope you know what your looking for or talking about because sometimes your on your own. more

Best Buy 2/24/2005

I really enjoy shopping at Best Buy. Their music selection is pretty good and the prices are great (though at times they are slow to stock their shelves). Their customer services is really helpful -- but if they're really busy, you'll have to wait around a bit for them to get to you. Other than that, they have a great selection of TVs, cameras, computers, etc., all at competive prices. If you can hit them when they're having a sale, it's definitely worth checking out. more

Editorial review from Insider Pages 12/1/2004

The only reason why I go to this best buy is because the prices are really good and it is close to my house. Overall their customer service sucks. The reason why I say that is because they have so many damn employees that just hang around and talk to one another all the time. The first time i noticed that I thought it was like whatever but then everytime I go in there it is like that. Instead of doing their job most of the time they talk in groups and for like a long period of time. Go in there you will see what I am talking about more
