I believe in second chances but today was my last straw with Best Buy! It is not necessarily the store in Nampa, Idaho (because I have found the people very nice) but it seems more like the corporate policies are not set up to be customer friendly. I had a brand new, never opened video game that was bought as a gift but my son received it from someone else. I had the receipt and went to return it. It was outside the 30 days for returns because I bought it early in case they sold out closer to the date. I couldn't argue even though I was not told this at time of check out, it is printed on the back of the receipt. I am now stuck with a $60 game.
This is my 3rd time after purchasing something from Best Buy or using their Geek Squad that it feels the policies in place are too restrictive. It almost feels they don't care about you because they already have your money or you have no choice but to pay it. I can understand that as a business they can't take risks and lose money.
I am done messing with them and from now on will take my electronics business to other companies that are more customer friendly. Hope this helps others to also think twice or make sure you know what the return policy is and i.e return it within 30 days, don't open the package at all, and have to have a receipt.
