Best

I just bought a new camera from Best Buy and not only are thier prices reasonable, but the service was outstanding as well.

Worst

I have never experienced customer service t like today. I walked in and I have a bunch of male "customers" following me. If they were secret shoppers they did a horrible job. Som...

When I bought my guitar in this place, I have no idea how to find the perfect brand and quality. It's a good thing that their service assistant knows a lot about music and gave me the help I need. more

It's hard to find a music store that offers quality brands at the right price. This one does so, so I am recommending it to everyone. more

Best Buy? Worst Buy!! 3/23/2012

long story short. coz i am not in mood too talk about what they done too me. and they really done allot! sure you get there, everything look so good. yes. they are nice and polite at the most part. the delivery they hire? SUCK! the worst ever. one week late. complaining by the delivery guy that its too heavy .. and damage the items few time before they take it up stairs, in front of my eyes, too make sure that i will tell them to not take it up stairs, then they will let other crew get a new one and care it up stairs, that way, they play for a week. more

The worst place ever! 3/16/2012

I would actually give zero stars if at all possible. I had the worst possible experience at Best Buy . My husband purchased a Kindle on Friday for my birthday. It was opened on Saturday and when I sat down to figure out how to use the item I found that the screen was half words and two thirds a picture of birds - sort of a weird frozen screen thing. I charged the Kindle as per the instruction book thinking that the screen would clear but nope, it would not. Not knowing what else to do, I packed up the item, called Best Buy (it was purchased at the Harrison st store) and was told that I could return the item to the nearest best buy . When I went to Best Buy they told me that the Kindle was damaged so they could not replace or return it depsite having the receipt. When we asked how it was damaged they said because the screen was the way it was (exactly how it was when I opened the box) the item was damaged and according to their return policy they could not take back a damaged item. When I explained that it was sold to my husband in this condition, they simply said it was their policy not to replace a damaged item like that . I asked to speak to the manager , he proudly told me that he ""saw one like that yesterday and didn't replace that one either"" but also stated that had my husband purchased an extended warranty from them then he would have considered it. The manager then told me that any problems with the item were the fault of Amazon and not Best Buy despite the fact that I purchased the item from Best Buy. The whole situation was surreal. Imagine purchasing an item, opening the box, finding it broken, attempting to return it and finding that the store simply refuses to take any responsbility by claiming that the manufacturer is at fault. Although I needed several camera disks and had planned on purchasing some other items while at Best Buy I admantly refuse to spend so much as a dime at this place. BTW, I called Amazon when I got home who promptly agreed to replace the item. Guess who will get my busines in future. more

Best Buy is the Worst!!! 11/13/2011

Best Buy on Harrison in San Francisco is the worst! The salesman was a snake. I bought a washer and dryer. The installer couldn't have done less or cared less. He said I needed a side exhaust kit for my dryer, and just go back to Best Buy and buy one and he would come back out and hook it up as part of the original installation. When I went to the store the salesman who sold me the units was there. He couldn't have been more helpful when I bought the units. When I came back needing the side exhaust kit he just said Best Buy doesn't sell it or install it, and couldn't get rid of me fast enough. He barely looked at me. This salesman is a snake. Helpful when he wanted the sale and could care less about you after. I had to get an appliance guy to finally hook up my dryer. Best Buy did say they will reemburse me for the appliance guy charge, but that was only after I said I wanted to return the washer and dryer. Stay away from Best Buy and their slimey appliance salesman. more

Do we have any other choice? 9/14/2011

I have had over and over bad experiences with best buy. I kept telling myself that, that will be the last time I shop at best buy but here in San Francisco we do not have a choice. Bad customer service, Be careful in getting the extended warranty. more

Big Box "Worst" Buy 2/5/2011

Terrible customer service. Waited over 45min to make a simple return. Then they didn't even apologize for the long wait and the lack of staffing. I'm shopping local or online but never again at big box "worst" buy. more

Has Everything 9/6/2009

These stores are so big. Just about everything you need in electronics is here. Pros: Good amount of selection Cons: not enough help when u really need it more

Don't shop here! Poor customer service 1/22/2007

I received poor customer service @ the new Best Buy on Geary, don't waste your time shopping there! After taking an hour for a guy named Mark to check my computer in for repairs to the Geek Squad, he promised it would be ready four days later. After not receiving a call from Best Buy on the date promised, I call them to check on my computer's status. First the guy tells me he has to call me back because he doesn't have the right keys to the vault. An hour and a half later and no returned phone call I call back again. This Best Buy employee tells me they have not even started working on my computer! I cannot believe these people! 4 days later and an additional $130 to my warrenty costs and I still don't have a working computer and will have to wait 3-5 more days before it's finished! Don't waste your time or energy shopping here! more

HATED PLACE 7/28/2005

I've had a few awful experiences with Best Buy. First of all, I brought my computer to them because it had a virus, and I knew they could clean and remove the virus. I paid about 200 dollars, and about a month after I got the computer, the same exact virus was still in the computer. I brought it back 6 times and each time, nothing was done. The last time I took it back home from the store, my computer wouldn't even turn on. My friend who's excellent with computer fixed the coputer in less than 5 minutes, and it works PERFECTLY now. Also, I had bought a protable CD player from this store, and about a week after I bought it, it stopped working. When I went to return it, the workers gave me a hard time, because apparently, the ink on the recepit was not visible. I would NEVER EVER recommend this store to ANYONE. Also, I noticed that most of the employees don't do anything-they just wander around the store pretending to work, cnoversing with the other employees. The only positive more

Worst Buy 7/19/2005

This is absolutely the worst place to buy anything. I recenly bought a new computer form this place and when I opened the box, it was used. There was someone else's information stored in the computer. And the only reason I kno this is because I had a computer friend help me set it up.Else I would never have known. Apparently Best Buy buys old computers an dfixes them. they are supposed to sell them as new, but I don't know what happened. When I confonted them, they gave me a hard time, like it was my fault. Never again!! This place has the worst customer service imaginable. more

Great customer service, but not the best non "mega sale" prices 7/15/2005

The staff at this Best Buy has always been very friendly and helpful. They dont bother or pressure customers. Rather, they have a knack for helping a searching eye, as well as letting a browsing eye roam. There can be some good sales, but standard prices seem to be a bit more than their competitors. There is one thing that bothers me about this store. Every time Ive been there, the cashiers on the right only accept credit cards, deferring any cash customers to the left. The lines move slowly, and this just seems silly to me. I understand a company not taking credit cards due to a phone line being down, but being too lazy to cash-out a register is another story. Overall: friendly and quality assistance by staff on the floor, but, needs a re-working once the customer is executing the actual purchase of his/her chosen items. PROS: Attentive staff, good variety for light-moderate electronics consumer CONS: Lines tend to go slow, odd practice of making cash customers wait longer more

Best Buy 7/14/2005

I usually go to best buy before i go to the other electronic stores. The service is pretty good, they know what they're talking about and if you don't understand something, they will break it down for you. The prices are pretty good, depending on what you get. Overall I give this place 4 stars. more

the new electronic King? 6/30/2005

Best buy knows to get people inside and keep them there long enough to buy stuff and get out. With such a big store, there are many demonstrations and demos of thier products. Thier customer service has a great wealth of knowledge of thier products. However it is all just a demo since after 5 minutes of seeing the product in action, you have a very good idea what it is and what it does to very extent. If you aren't sold by it then, then most likely, you won't buy it anytime soon. PROS: good custemer service CONS: none more

Cheapest Place in the Area (Where I live) 5/24/2005

Best Buy is actually the place to Best Buy electronics for me. Do you know those sales where they have right after big holidays? Yep, I was one of the people who was standing in line the whole night just to get things cheap. Guess what? I bought a laptop for 400 dollars because it was on mega sale, a MP3 for 30 dollars and whole bunch of other stuff. Then with those other sales, it might be the best place to buy electronics. PROS: Too much to list CONS: none more
