Berry Hill Pet Hospital: Richard S Pfouts, DVM

I've taken my dogs to Berry Hill for the last three years or so. Let me say first that the girls in the office are extremely friendly but I quickly noticed the Vet isn't. It wasn't a huge deal for me because I didn't see him as rude, just not friendly. The prices are very reasonable so I decided, well, he isn't the friendliest, but not rude. Rude doesn't even begin to describe what happened on Saturday, December 13th 2008. We had to wait a while because they were busy, so by the time we got in it was close to closing time. The Vet was in a bad mood before he even came in the room. He was mad that my dogs needed a heartworm test (because the blood has to be drawn and it takes a few minutes to get the results). He asked when the last time my one dog had a heartworm test, I told him his first vet visit. The Vet grunted and said "s**t"! When he came in, my dog could feel that the Vet was irritated and when he attempted to prepare my dog for the drawing of blood my dog got upset. Instead of more

great home town feel. excellent staff very frindly people unlike that place on shannon pkwy in union city. i drive 40 miles for the friendlliness and car they show. and yes the prices are unbeatable more

My experience with this office has been that they really LOVE animals which made me so much more comfortable leaving my dogs with them for minor surgical procedures. The office staff is very casual and friendly. The prices are unbeatable. more

My family has many dogs. From a 7pound Yorkie to a 150+pound American Bulldog. This is the only place we will take them. It is a small office with the friendliest most compassionate staff I have ever seen. We had to put down our 12 year old Rott last year and the staff wrapped their arms around my husband and I & gave us a shoulder to cry on. I had my female cocker spaniel fixed she only had 2 stitches. most places they have @least 4. Their prices are the lowest I found within a 40 mile radius. If you are looking for a Dr. for your pet this is by far the best place to go!! more

They do a good job.Its a very small office though.They saved my cats life there very close to me thank heavens.My cat Sasha had kittens and the next day she was acting like she was giving birth so I took her to berry hill and her uterus was coming out!!!!so she was spayed (fixed) and I took her home the next day.She is doing well!They are very nice people and want to help.they have very reasonable prices actually the best in town!I do recommend them! more

I go here for my pets, only because it's cheap, and the people are friendly.\r \r Other then that, I really don't know why I visit. They have made some mistakes in the past, although they generally do a good/ok job.\r \r The office is a bit small, but the people are nice and friendly, and seem to know what they are doing.\r \r A good pet hospital if you're in a bind, but their ARE better options. PROS: Friendly people, generally ok service. CONS: Service can sometimes be iffy. more
