Worst experience at a vet ever! 9/18/2014

I took my kitty here and mentioned that I wanted to get an itemized breakdown of things before agreeing to them, and Dr. Wisa seemed amicable to that, then went ahead and started popping into the next room and doing procedures without mentioning costs. Then, when I mentioned the need for the breakdown, as I was student at the time, without a lot of money, he got really angry and blew up at me about how he'd have to keep my cat until I could pay for anything. They held my cat ransom for nearly a week, and when I picked her up, FECES AND URINE were literally matted in her fur, and she was incredibly out of it and seemed traumatized. WORST EXPERIENCE AT A VET EVER! Their boarding services are disgusting and inhumane! And communication is horrific! Oh, and did I mention that he tried to convince me to have her get need an expensive, invasive surgery that she most certainly didn't need at all, after getting second opinions. Don't let your more

I am very grateful I found Dr Wisa to guide me thru a very hard time. I have been with my dog for a long time & when the time came to say goodbye Dr. Wisa was very patient & compassionate. I had a really wonderful experience 2/27/2013

Euthanizing a beloved pet is incredibly rough and in searching for the right person, I came across Dr.Wisa.He is exactly the vet you need when going through such a troubled time. You will know your pet is in good hands. His vibe was warm, and kind, he kindly talked us through the procedure and made both of us comfortable.Thank you Dr Wisa. Dr. Wisa and his staff are amazing. I've been the proud owner of the cutest Maltipoo for a little over a year and I've been searching for a vet that I can really trust. Not only did my puppy receive incredible treatment, but l left feeling very informed about my options for caring for my little one over the long term. I'm also excited about the fact that they are a full service groomer as well. Dr. Wisa was able to point out a couple places on my dog's body that were overlooked by other groomers. Finding a good vet is as miraculous as finding a good car mechanic, dentist or manicurist. It doesn't happen often and we're grateful when it does. \r \r Unfortunately, I found Dr. Krivoy shortly before he retired. He wasn't always comfortable speaking to me but was always in his groove when speaking to my cats. "What's got your person all riled up today", he would ask my beasts. When he retired I tried several others, including one in my neighborhood who simply seems not to like animals.\r \r Dr. Nabil Wisa took over for him.\r \r I brought my big white rescue dude to Dr. Wisa after that other vet prescribed twice daily eye drops and I was going on vacation. I wasn't comfortable asking a petsitter to handle the meds and Dr. Wisa and team were there to help and boarded him while I was away. He recommended a dental and other tests for my 8 year old FIV+ guy and I picked him up in better shape than I'd left him.\r \r Since then he's seen my other two, a semi-feral, decidedly less-than-fri more

I highly recommend the services at the Berkley Pet Hospital. I have been taking my two dogs there for checkups and boarding for just over a year now and have found the staff to be very helpful and pleasant. Dr Visa is wonderful with the dogs and is never too rushed to answer my questions. more

Berkley Pet Hospital is the best! We have been taking our dogs there for 30 years, and Dr Wisa, has done an amazing job since he took over. He is very personable and compassionate with your dog's individual needs. I love the personal phone calls when he updates you as to your Dog's status. Highly recommended for vet and boarding needs. more

Impressed 6/3/2012

We took our new kitten to Berkley Pet Hospital and received excellent care. The staff was friendly and courteous, we had only a 5 minute wait, and the vet was very kind and knowledgeable. We've been back 2 times for booster shots and always received excellent care. more

I LOVE THIS PET HOSPITAL 5/21/2012

Boomer (my cat) has been a patient of Dr. Wisa for over a year. I couldn't be happier with the care and treatment he has received. Boomer was a very sick kitty and the treatment he received was life-saving. The staff at Berkley is wonderful - very friendly and warm. I would recommend this pet hospital to everyone!!! more

Love this place! 3/11/2012

I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Wisa for almost a year and I couldn't be happier. He is always so kind and sweet to the dogs and is always looking out for their best interest while keeping it affordable. I have seen many vets and most of my experiences have been that they have one foot out the door when you walk in. Dr.Wisa always gives us the time we need and another great thing about his practice is the staff. He has the nicest people working with him. Thank you guys for taking such good care of Sally and Frankie! more

Highly Recommended 12/3/2011

Dr. Wisa and his staff were wonderful when it came to my chihuahua Shakira. Shakira is a 6-yr old rescue I adopted in May and is still very afraid of people and won't let anyone near her. Dr. Wisa performed life-saving surgery on her before I adopted her so I feel most comfortable taking her to him. I had to take Shakira to get her nails clipped because she was so neglected before and her nails were very, very long. Dr. Wisa and his staff took very good care of her. I'm grateful to him and his staff for the care they give to animals and for taking care of my baby. more

A cat bite? 6/26/2011

I have lived in No Ho for 30 years and have tried every vet in the area.2 Dogs 3 cats. Although just like M.D's you have to find a personality fit for yourself, vet's can have off days. BUT I used to go to this vet in the 80's and it was sold to the current Dr, who is starting out. As I do for myself I saw 2 Vet's..as this was not an emergency, (cat bite) he wanted to put her out and charge me $600.00. I finally got into my reg Dr Sharpe in No Ho --who is "always honest, and kind, a father- son practice" charged $160.00 to clean it and give her antibiotics. Job done.!! Just shop around if you can. What a rip off, I won't be going back there. Try Sharp they are so nice there, even the front desk is caring. more

Jerks 3/2/2011

There are several places in L.A. to board your pet, and I DON'T recommend this one. I was referred by a friend, so I thought I'd give it a try since it is extremely affordable for boarding. However, upon first entering the facility, the people at the front desk looked at me like I was an idiot for even walking into the place, when I did in fact reserve a spot for my puppy to stay there over the weekend. Not sure what that was all about. Weird. Monday evening my friend picked him up prior to closing since I wouldn't make it by closing time (where my friend mentioned they also made her feel weird for entering the facility- wtf?!) About an hour later I went to my friend's to pick up my puppy and noticed blood all over his paw. I then realized they clipped his back toenails SO SHORT they cut him, and that's why he was bleeding all over the place. I never asked them to cut his nails, which are CLEAR, not black, so they shouldn't have cut his skin in the first place. His leash also came back more
