Bergen Properties

I completely agree with the previous review by mbsanthro. I don't know why people have complains about Yulli (Manager), he was always nice and helpful. It's a cool place to live in. more

I almost didn't rent an apartment at Bergen properties because of the other reviews. I spoke to tenants, and the response was unanimously that they love living there. They spoke about little ways that Yilli accommodated them. There is a New Jersey plaque for superb management in Yilli's office. He helped me as much as possible, to rent my apartment. I also found out from tenants that Yili is not supposed to be ""fixing things"". If you want something fixed you call the managing company -- not Y'illi. They come right away to fix things. The message on Yill's answering machine gives you the number. Character assassination is never a good thing. Let the discontents move out -- and let all of the happy tenants continue to enjoy themselves at Bergen Properties. more

When I read the review before mine, I laughed out loud because I went through the same exact thing. I have since moved, but the worst part about living at Bergen Properties was the superintendent Ylli. He did not take care of one thing that needed fixing. \r \r He was flat out nasty to me every time I approached him. WHo is he to talk poorly to me??? I was a paying resident!!! While I lived there, I wished I had a better superintendant who would actually take care of things. more

These are beautiful, red brick apartments with 1 and 2 bedrooms, some are duplex. They are in a beautiful and prime location in Radburn near CVS & R Park. Most have been updated and the landscape is kept nice like a true garden apartment. The only bad thing I can say about Bergen Properties is my experiences with the arrogant, lying, domineering, and patronizing superintendent, Ylli. Over the past couple of years, I've learned he does not and will not fix things that need to be fixed, and does not answer or return phone calls. I see him yelling at other tenants, including old women and CHILDREN. No joke. I know it's an old joke, the landlord that won't do anything. But this guy was hired to take care of a group of apartments. He gets free cost of living (which few people in America can say) and he does not take care of his tenants. more
