Kitchen Re-model 1/10/2018

Wanting to re-model my kitchen and not having an "eye" for design myself, I had visited several local vendors in an attempt to build my dream kitchen. I was very disappointed that everyone I met was ready to "sell" a product .....but I met no one willing to help me "pull together" a design. Then I walked into Benson Stone and met Fran Dittmer. From our first meeting Fran paid close attention to what I was wanting. She pulled together several great ideas. She helped me move forward in making decisions. Her expertise, great personality and the time she spent with me, made me feel that my kitchen was as important to her as it is to me. I love my new kitchen ! I have already recommended Benson Stone and Fran Dittmer to several friends. I will return for my next project ! more

Great Furniture and Accessories with the Best Customer Service Ever! 2/7/2014

If you're looking for quality custom furniture, this is the place. The entire staff is fantastic and will help you find just what you want. They have so much to look at on the show room floor, but if you don't find something there, they'll help you look through the many catalogs they have available. You'll get the exact style, finish and fabric you're looking for! The selection of lamps and accessories is amazing too. I'm a customer for life and I just love them all...but especially Donna. more

Kitchen Remodel 6/17/2013

The service was terrible. We had items that needed to be replaced and it took over two months to get items they said we would get in 7-10 days. I wrote a detailed letter of the account and they responded by saying a manager would call and then was asked if they could collect their money upon delivery of my final items. No apologies...just wanted their money for an overpriced, inferior product and bad service. I'm still waiting for the promised phone call. more

FANTASTIC!!! 8/30/2011

Dear Mr. Benson, I am looking at my beautiful new see-through fireplace with a big smile on my face. I purchased this by phone from your company after discovering you are a supplier of Heatilator. Jessica was my sales person and made my buying experience not only easy, but also fun. She found me a close-out model that fit my budget and I was ecstatic. Your installers, Dale and Peter, just left. Very professional! I was so thankful for their ability to improvise as my contractor had cut the hole for the fireplace an inch too small. Rather than pack up and come back another time, Dale and Peter quickly made the fix so my installation could proceed as planned. At the end of the day, one door wouldn’t fully open and Peter went way above and beyond the call of duty to try to remedy the problem. I appreciated his determination and willingness to stay and work on it, almost to the point of getting back to your shop late. You have some very dedicated installers in Dale and Peter and they were nothing short of terrific. I am pretty vocal about my customer service experiences, making my feelings known when things don’t go well, but also making sure that I sing the praises of those who are outstanding at their jobs. very poor service on fireplace 1/3/2011

I bought a vent-free gas fireplace in Nov. 2009 and it hasn't worked correctly. It's noisy and it sets off the smoke detectors emitting quite a strong odor. In early November, 2010, I requested a service call to see if anything can be done. It's January and I'm still waiting to hear from them. This has not been a good experience. My in-person complaints have been met witih rudeness and threats of charges. more

Love the results of our remodel! 3/8/2010

When our contractor suggested I go to Benson Stone to pick out the items that we needed, I was a little hesitant. I walked in, asked for Erin, and everything else was effortless. She made the entire experience a hasslefree one. The store had everything we needed ~ flooring, carpeting, sinks, and the granite countertops. In three weeks, I had a new house!! Love the store and would recommend Erin for her great suggestions. more

Benson Stone and their desiger, Erin Meyers are a great help! 3/3/2010

During the building of our new home Benson Stone and specifically their designer, Erin Meyers were a big help. Erin was one of the most creative designers that I've ever worked with, and we've built 4 homes! She was always responsive and business like in her interactions with us. Thanks to Benson Stone for helping to make the building process a little easier. more

Working Relationships 2/5/2010

I would have to say that I as a contractor who has reffered customers to Scott Herrmann at Benson Stone have been very pleased with his work. Granite perfection 1/30/2010

I hired Benson Stone to fabricate and install new granite counter tops (and a sink) in my kitchen. When they arrived at my home with their laser leveling equipment and spent a fairly lengthy amount of time to dimension eveything out before they cut the granite slabs, I knew they took accuracy and precision in their work seriously. Warm up by these fires! 8/15/2005

Located in the old Rockford Furniture building makes this place accessible to all. They have a large selection of fireplaces and supplies. You can also find furniture, outdoor grills and building supplies. They have a nice small cafe on the first floor. Even if you aren't in the market for a new fireplace, you should just go to browse. Lots of neat things to see that will give you great ideas! more

Stone work, fireplaces, patio, grills 8/14/2005

This is an awesome store to visit. There's even a cafe inside if you like to linger. They have all sorts of grills, fireplaces and so on. However, the main thing my husband has enjoyed are the grilling classes. There's one a month on Monday nights and you learn all sorts of grilling techniques. Its kind of expensive, but you get food and more food to bring home! And if you like meat, this is a great set of classes. A group of us got our husbands classes for a Father's Day gift. more

Very classy store for fireplaces and stonework 8/12/2005

Within the last two years, Benson Stone moved into an old warehouse which is a lot larger than their old location. Everything is much more orgainized and displayed better. They have wonderful displays on mulitple levels. Also, there is a cafe inside of the store with good coffee. It is a bit pricy but the work that I have seen in my friend's house it was well worth it. more
