Benjamin Franklin Plumbing

Last week our water heater started leaking around the safety valve. I found two service tickets from BF in 2008 when my in-laws occupied the house. I called and scheduled the service call for that day. The guy showed up on time and was very polite. On one of the service tickets, the plumber recommended a pressure reducing valve be installed, which the in-laws did not do. Long story short, I was told the water heater was bad and needed to be replaced for around $2,000. I was also given a quote for the valve for $489. My husband thought this was quite high, so he started asking guys he works with. We bought the valve for $62 and it was installed yesterday. It has reduced the water pressure and we're hoping the water heater won't need to be replaced. I would never recommend BF to anyone. more

I had an issue with a Grohe kitchen faucet that my regular plumber couldn't figure out. I called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and was delightfully surprised that they would scheduled the call around my errands. My plumber was Mike and was a delightful gentleman and immediately correct the issue. I am sorry to say that I will not be calling Jeff again, Benjamin Franklin has earned my trust.... more

I needed to have a hose bibb added to the back off the house. Called these guys to schedule the call and they asked me ""When was good for me to have a technician come out?"". Who does that anymore, I mean what company out there really cares about me, the customer any more. Anyway, they came out took care of the job. Now I can water my garden with out dragging the hose around the garage. Thank you. more

Sam was great. Arrived on time, diagnosed the problem and priced the issue. He put down his mat and fixed the problem quickly. He cleaned up his work area and was the most polite, cleanest plumber I have ever seen. more

I originally called another Greenville plumber that came out and would not fix my kitchen faucet, they said it had to be replaced and wanted $650.00. Obviously they were asked to leave. I then called Ben Franklin Plumbing, amazingly they had no problem repairing my old faucet and it was under $100.00. I will only use Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in Greenville. more

I can really appreciate a Plumbing company that does exactly what they say they will do. These guys did a great job, they put plastic down on the floor, fixed the plumbing problem and cleaned every thing up when they were done. And unlike other greenville plumbers or experiences I have had with other plumbers, the price never changed. I will recommend to every one at work.\r more

My 12 year old water heater decided to die right before I was due to go on vacation. Perfect timing, right? Frustrated and desperate, I picked up the phone and called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. I had used other companies in the past with no luck so I thought I would give them a try. The lady that answered the phone was very nice and made me feel comfortable about what to expect from Benjamin Franklin. I was scheduled for a 2 hour appointment window, and they arrived when they said they would. I even got a call telling me when the tecnician was on his way and his name--that was huge to me! When the technician arrived, he introduced himself and immediately put covers over his shoes to keep my house from getting dirty. The technician was clean, courteous and very professional. From the start of my experience until the end, I could not have been more satisfied. Benjamin Franklin Plumbing is my plumber now and I know I am in good hands! more

You'd be surprised what kind of human dregs can crawl out from under the rocks to work on your plumbing in Greenville, South Carolina. That's why when we heard the advertisement for Benjamin Franklin Plumbers on the radio, we gave them a call upon our next plumbing mishap. We had a drain leak on the bathroom sink and the water was leaking into the vanity and onto the floor. We called and they gave us an appointment. The plumber showed up on time, had identification and looked clean and professional. He also used shoe covers in order to avoid messing up our floor. The repair was surprisingly fast, but the price was a little higher than I'd expect. Still, the experience was very pleasant, and this was the first time I wasn't afraid being alone with a plumber insider the house. Thanks! more

I initially reviewed this company after we gotten into a dispute with the owner about a job they had done that had started leaking. There was some confusion about whether it would be covered by their warranty, but we eventually got it worked out and it was covered. If I could delete this review, I would, but I have updated it as best as possible. Give them a shot! Pros: Initial plumber we got was very nice, clean, friendly Cons: The owner is very unprofessional and won't honor his own warranty more

Having an older home, it has not been unusual for my wife and I to need to have a plumber over. On one occasion, I was flying out of town for a week. The morning I was to leave, our downstairs toilet began gurgling and filling up with water when the upstairs shower was on. My wife and I went into full panic mode. I can't tell you how nice it is to just pick up the phone and have everything taken care of. Because of their background checks of their employees, we don't have to worry about who is coming over.They are always, prompt, professional, courteous, and always take care of the problem. On top of that- they always guarantee our satisfaction. We are extremely satisfied with them and their service!!!! Pros: Always have all the material on the truck on the first visit. more
