Last week our water heater started leaking around the safety valve. I found two service tickets from BF in 2008 when my in-laws occupied the house. I called and scheduled the service call for that day. The guy showed up on time and was very polite. On one of the service tickets, the plumber recommended a pressure reducing valve be installed, which the in-laws did not do. Long story short, I was told the water heater was bad and needed to be replaced for around $2,000. I was also given a quote for the valve for $489. My husband thought this was quite high, so he started asking guys he works with. We bought the valve for $62 and it was installed yesterday. It has reduced the water pressure and we're hoping the water heater won't need to be replaced. I would never recommend BF to anyone.
