Great customer service! 7/7/2015

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing Wichita came and did a little work on my water heater that is still under warranty today. I love that I can trust them to come into my home and do work even when I am not home. I also appreciate the fact that they are neat, always wearing shoe covers when they are walking inside my house. The last thing I want to say is that the technician wrote me a note that while he was waiting to make sure the water heater would stay lit for 30 mins, he noticed that my air filter to my AC might need to be replaced as it was getting a little dirty. Haha! I LOVED that! more

Extremely Overpriced 10/22/2014

I called Benjamin Franklin today after my water heater shot craps yesterday and they caught my attention with a sticker on the front of my Wichita Eagle this morning. The two gentleman arrived on time and conducted themselves in a professional and courteous manner. However, I was stunned when after informing me that it was a fairly simple and routine installation they then proceeded to tell me that the cost of replacing my water tank was $1800!!! (I had asked the receptionist I spoke to on the phone what the cost might be, but she declined to give even a cursory estimate even though the plumbers who arrived had a laminated pricing chart with them.) I thought this sounded excessive and decided to check around before committing. After calling 3 other reputable plumbers I was quoted a total cost of product and installation ranging from $825 to $925. I'm sure Benjamin Franklin probably does good work, but I can't imagine that they are worth twice what everybody else is charging for the same job. I would shop around before using their services. more

Emergency ceiling leak that got got large very fast: called from work and got scheduled this evening: Ryan got it figured out and explained all that needed to be done. He wore foot slippers over his shoes , cleaned up everything and even took the trash out to his truck ! He was polite , interesting to talk to and had a good sense of humor: I now consider him my family plumber more

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing has been doing almost all of our plumbing for quite a while. They have replaced toilets, repaired leaks and replaced hot water tanks for us a couple of times. Every time one of their guys comes they go above and beyond. They are open about what they are doing and how much the work will cost. While they're not the cheapest, you can always trust them. If anything is not what you think it ought to be, they will come back. Their service techs are always friendly without being pushy. They always explain what they are doing and why they are doing it. They tell us what they might have to do if something they try doesn't work. After a while you get the same tech coming back to your house. He knows your house, and you feel comfortable with him and his recommendations. You know he knows what he's talking about and away you go! more

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing's servicemen came in to reset a couple of toilets for me after I had flooring done. They did a good job of that. They did the work on weekends, whereas a previous plumber I used either wouldn't come out at all, or would charge a premium. This company will come out at the normal price no matter what day it is. They sold me their plan, so I'm now a satisfied Benjamin Franklin Plumbing member. more

We have a lot of weather issues here where it rains for several days in a row. I've had an old pump for many years, and I was afraid it was going to break down on me, so I called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing to take a look at it. They came out and had a pump in their truck, and that same day, they were able to install it. Some pumps were getting sold our in the city, and yet, they had exactly what I needed. I was really impressed with the fast service. The price was a little bit more expensive, but they had a guarantee on it, so it was well worth the money. It has been working well ever since the installation. I used them once before this for another job, and they did just as good a job. Every time I have a problem, they always seem to send out people who are truly specialized in that area. They're completely proficient in their field. They are also very friendly to their customers. If you have something that you need done, I am certain Benjamin Franklin Plumbing has the capabilities to handle the job well. more

They're prompt and do the job right. 8/20/2013

This last service call Benjamin Franklin Plumbing came out to check our hot water heater. They had installed it and I think this was just a normal service call from them to us. I didn't call them; they called me. It was just to make sure everything was working properly. They drained it out and everything was a-okay. I've been with them for many years. They're good people and they give me excellent service. I don't have to wait on them. If say they are going to be here between 10 and 12, they call between those times and are here thirty minutes later. And they do their job right the first time, which is important. I don't ever have to call them to come back. Just try 'em; you'll like 'em! more

I've used Benjamin Franklin Plumbing more than once now. Most recently, they checked and repaired my outside faucet. They were going to charge me something I thought was a little too high, but were willing to negotiate with me on it. more

Came out for one problem and ended up fixing another. 6/26/2013

I had some periodic drain clogs so I had them out to look at that. We took a camera down the line to identify where the problem was happening and they made a video of that, and determined the problem was not on my end. While they were here I had them do a check of my hot water tank and they determined it needed to be replaced. They were able to take care of it that day, there was no need for me to take more time off from work or make another appointment. That was very convenient for me. more

Great plumbing checkups 2/20/2013

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing always does a great job. They do an annual checkup for me, always on time, and all the plumbers they send out are professional. I have been using them probably 4 or 5 years and would highly recommend them. more

I used Benjamin Franklin Plumbing to repair the sewer line that goes from my house to the street. The plumber who came out was great. He used a sewer camera to look at the line and showed me that tree roots got inside the pipeline. They did a really good job repairing the problem. more

Jaime and Taylor came out to my house right on time today! I was so impressed with their service! They put on shoe covers when they came into the house and were very polite and friendly. I felt very comfortable having them in my home. They are trustworthy and honest with their prices and their work. Benjamin Franklin Plumbing was great to work with from the second I called them! We couldn't get the faucet to work and eventually had to replace it. The gentleman that came out from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing worked until he resolved the problem. When he left, I had a new faucet and it's the best one I've had so far. more

Water pressure problems solved. 11/9/2012

Our house was experiencing water pressure problems. The Ben Franklin made it easy to schedule an appointment. The plumber that arrived was on time, VERY professional, answered all of my questions, gave me several options and solutions to solve our problem. He fixed the problem, cleaned up his work area and left the room in better shape than when he arrived. I was most impressed. All of our future business will go to Ben Franklin. Thank you! more

Way overpriced 8/24/2012

Gave me the following options regarding my waterheater: Quoted me a price of $500 to replace a gas valve, $1,500 for a new water heater or $720 to install one if I purchased it somewhere else. I passed on all options, but paid them their $49.50 service call. Will never call them again! more

Professional, good work 8/21/2012

I called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing because I needed a toilet unclogged. They were exact on what they needed to do, knew exactly how to fix the problem and they explained themselves on the way. I also really liked that they had a pricing scale. They pulled out a pamphlet that has different pricing for different job activities, it's pretty cut and dry when it comes to their pricing. They were a little high on the price compared to some other companies I've used in the past, but at the same time it's worth the money because they fixed the problem and they were able to come out the same day. more
