Bellissima Salon

Maneli is an excellent stylist. I have been going to her for several years now and have followed her from her last salon to Bellissima. She does highlights and low lights on my long, very fine hair. I am always very pleased with the results! The cut she does adds volume to my hair without making it look choppy and the colors we have played with over the years have always been complimentary to my skin tone and come out the way I wanted. I have referred several family members and friends to her, and they too have been pleased. Maneli is very client oriented and wants to give you the best experience possible. She starts with a consult to see what you want and then discusses her plan with you. I like this because it ensures that we are both on the same page. I just zone out and let her do her thing and then afterward she makes sure I am happy by talking to me about the results. I really appreciate her care, concern, and time spent with me. She is someone I will continue to go to and refer to as long as she is practicing. more

I started going to this salon about ten years ago and would never go anywhere else. Alexis cuts my hair and I get people stopping me on the street asking me where I got my hair cut all the time. My husband even lets her cut his hair and he is not a salon guy at all. When I walk in I feel like I am coming home to one of my favorite places. Everyone is so nice and complimentary, you feel like a movie star. Thanks for having such a comforting and supportive environment Bellissima! Love you guys. Kathy's salon is the place to relax and get a great hair style. Kathy is extremely personable and supportive of her clients. December the 5th she even opened her salon for a jewelry trunk show for CrimpMyStyle and Cynful Designs. Fun was had by all clients and creators of the jewelry alike. This is the place to go! I don't know anything about how Bellissima ""used"" to be or what it's like to have my hair done there - I'm just a guy who thought they did a great job on my wife's hair. My wife used to go to Bellissima when we lived in San Rafael. Since we moved to Sebastopol she's tried a lot of different salons closer to home. I've often felt ""so-so"" about the results - I don't like it when they shorten it too much or choose an unnatural looking color. My wife was recently in San Rafael and they squeezed her in for an appointment and I was really happy with how she looked when she got home - very natural and cute! She looked ten years younger, really (we've been married 25 years.) I rarely feel as enthusiastic about her more recent salon results and the only reason I'm writing this review is because I wanted to send a thank you to the salon so I was looking up the address on Google and found this review page. I never write reviews but the other one on the page was so bad I wanted to write this one because, to my mind, the most important thing is the results. If they are often overbooked it must be because people like it - duh! Anyway, thank you Bellissima! Pros: Really good coloring and cut. more
