Beleza Couture Studio Express

I was referred to the salon by a friend that went to Aveda Institute. I was looking for a stylist that was knowledgable and specialized in healthy hair. After to going to have my hair done at several salons, I can honestly say I have found a great salon and stylist. Trixie specializes in all har textures and is very good at what she does. The staff is wonderful and have very good hospitality. The reviews about bad customer service must be personal. I have been going 3 months now and have NOT witnessed that. Although everyone has their day but I cannot say anything bad about the salon. The staff are wonderful, the atmosphere is professional and welcoming. If you are looking for someone to educate you and offer tips and follow up with you. This salon is the place and Trixie is very good at what she does. I'm so glad I made a good choice and my hair is very healthy. Thanks ladies and gentlemen @ Beleza. more

The manager there is extremely rude. I actually called to schedule and appointment and Trixie answered the phone, well apparently she was talking to someone and told me to hold on an wait because she wasn't talking to me. That's poor customer service and I'm giving you my money so I should receive some respect. The other stylist are very nice and considerate :) more

Scheduled an appointment on Saturady for a highlight and cut. Just want to say Sherrie did a good job on my color and the haircut was the best I've had in a long time. I have a bob and it's usually hard to find someone that cuts it the way I like. She got most of all the red at which I usually leave the salon with the opposite of what I tell them. I was very pleased and just want to say that it's a very nice and clean salon. Which was an issue for me at the last salon. Anyone looking for a nice haircut and color at a reasonable price give this salon a try. The girls here do excellent work and I will be returning. more

I went to Beleza after getting a previous haircut that was totally messed up. My wife called scheduled the appointment and gave the girl a long consultation over the phone. When I arrived the receptionist was very nice and attentive while I waited on my stylist. I have to say this was the best mens haircut I have received in a long time. I will defintely be going back and loved the fact that they are open on Sunday's. The salon is very clean and the atmosphere was very professional and relaxing. The price was very reasonable and the quality was outstanding and the service was done in a time efficient manner. Thanks Trixie for an awesome haircut. more

Just want to say thank you Tiffany and staff for the excellent service I received at the studio. I usually go to another stylist but learned that she was no longer there. I'm from Maryland and decided to go with another stylist because I loved the salon and the atmosphere and it's close to my house. I was informed that Tiffany was good with short hair so wanted to give her a try. I love my hair and have never got so may compliments on my hair. All the girls are good and glad I decided to give Tiffany a try. She's from Maryland and Maryland stylist are really good and I will be coming back. Anyone looking for a nice short haircut give Tiffany a try. I got to referr 5 people t o get my free haircut and eyebrow wax. So all the girls with the nice short styles schedule with Tiffany or Trixie. Tiffany was really professional and the staff was really nice and they all was doing really good work. I usually don't write reviews but decided to after reading the last review. I went in to the studio today for my appointment after reading the reviews along with the last one that states ""customer service sucks""... thank God I didn't based my appointment on that review. Especially after reading all the other good ones. I was a little hesitant about how my hair would look because wasn't sure if they could do my texture hair. I'm from Atlanta nad have been looking for a nice, upscale and professional salon. I went Saturday on a busy day and I did have to wait a little bit. But just want to say the staff was nice and offered me wine and ordered me food while I waited. The service was the best that I have received in this area, Thanks Beleza Team you guys ROCK!!!!! Just keep doing what you do.You can't please everybody but obviously you guys are doing something right. Thanks again and I will be back. Anyone looking for a good blowout please give them a try. First, I walked in to set up a first appointment. When I came in, two people were standing at the door but neither of them had the decency to greet me. I was excited about finding a salon to get a dominican blowout but all of the life was sucked out of the employees. I asked questions only to get one word answers. When I called the following week to reschedule my appointment (3 days before the appointment), the person who answered told me that I need just cancel my appointment because if I reschedule again, I will not be able to schedule again. What kind of customer service is that?? I'm taking the time to follow the cancellation policy, yet I may not be able to schedule another appointment. If that's what they call reeling in new clientele, they will get nowhere! I'll take my business elsewhere more

I don't write reviews often and when I do it's either because I absolutely love a place or it was the worst service I've ever received. In this case its because I loved the salon. My stylist was Toya and she did a wonderful job on my hair. more

I have long curly hair, and was interested in the Brazilian Keratin treatment. I made my appointment with Trixie, and have seen her at the salon since that time. Based on my experiences, clients will be well pleased with the services offered at Beleza Couture Studio. I absolutely love how Trixie styles my hair and I love, love how easy it is to make an appointment (considering I have a busy schedule). Trixie is a smart and extremely talented stylist, well-skilled at determining and meeting client needs. A client is in good hands at Beleza. As an added bonus...with your new fabulous hairstyle, you can shop for high-end shoes and get great Mexican food nearby. So...that's a win-win. more

Upon entering the salon, I had my first negative experience of the day. I had to wait until Trixie, the owner of Beleza Couture Studio, got off the phone talking to a man that she apparently has not spoken to in a while….before I was even acknowledged for my appointment. Trixie the owner is very unprofessional and rude. On the way to the shampoo bowl, my stylist asked a simple question about what product to use to get the glue out of my head and Trixie went on a rampage. She began saying that she doesn’t like to deal with glue (she has a weave and tracks that are glued in) and doesn’t like to service clients that are not consistently coming to the salon. She informed her that she would have to charge me an additional $10 per minute to comb out the glue and an additional $10 per additional product used in my hair. If you specialize in healthy hair you should take pride in transforming and repairing hair. Please take heed to the fact that their promotions are not what they say and simply a ploy to get you into the salon and take your money. I went in for a $25 blowout and after she calculated all her extras, I would have ended up with at $100 service. They will wait until they get your hair wet and tell you that you need treatments and etc. It’s always something when I visit Beleza Couture Studio!!! If you have to give specials all the time to generate revenue and you have a high turnover rate with your employees you should take the time to evaluate the services of your business and yourself if you are the owner. The reason for your high turnover rate and your inconsistent income is your unprofessionalism.\r \r The owner of this salon, Trixie needs to take a class on customer service and class. I left this salon embarrassed, but found another salon that was extremely catering and had no problem removing the glue.\r \r \r more

The salon is conveniently located at Southpoint with great parking. I referred this salon to friends and loved their stylist. I hv fine delicate/highlighted hair. I used Ebony as my stylist. Expecting an ok job for a lot of money I walked out with an AWESOME coloring and haircut for reasonable price. I was surprised. Tried her a second time and walked out again in love with my color. I have used Blo, Salon Blu, Aveda, La Therpie salons paying over $230 for a cut and color and was never thrilled-I was glad to be done with it and hv my roots colored. I have felt like I need to move from Salon to Salon for perfection and finally I feel I have found my neighborhood salon I can trust that I will always like. I highly recommend Ebony. Beleza Couture is an upscale salon with affordable prices. Trixie is a awsome stylist, teacher, and business woman. Sade & Ebony does a great job on my children's hair (teenagers). They are always happy with their hair when they leave the salon.\r They are open seven days a week which really fits my busy lifestyle. Called in this morning to another salon and couldn't get in. Very particular about my haircut and been to several salons and never satisified. I wanted the master stylist but she was busy so I ended up with Ebonee. She was super nice and friendly. She listened to me and took alot of time with me. I had a coupon to another salon. I googled haircut and this salon came up. The website was really nice so I decided to give them a try. I stayed on the phone with them for about 20 minutes before I booked my appointment. The person was very nice and answered all my questions. The salon is really nice and very clean. Ebonee gave me a very good consultation and stress relieving treatment. And to top it off she gave me a really good haircut. I was very satisifed and the staff was really nice and they all worked together and seem really happy and passionate about what they where doing. I give Beleza 5 stars and will be referring all my friends because they have a 5 starr referral program. Thank you Ebonee, I love my haircut. If you are looking to get highlights, haircut, and color in between, you have came to the right place. Andreia was my stylist and she did an excellent job. I was looking for an Aveda Pure Priviledge salon in Durham, and Beleza came up. She did a really good job and it was well worth the price. i want to just say that this was the best Hair Cut I have ever had in a long time. The stylist was very attenitive, she gave me a very good consulation. I was very pleased with my service and also like the way they worked as a team to ensure that I was very pleased. I highly recommend this salon for a haircut. And while I was there I observed this other stylist doing highlights and color. And the work is very good. i was happy that they use Aveda and Redken color. I love Aveda color. And I never had my hair razor cut before and I love it. Ebonee you are the best!!! more

This is the best multi-cultural salon in Durham. The staff are all Aveda and Redken trained. They are very knowledgable and professional. The owner is very nice and professional. Don't make your judgement off any negative review. There is always somebody trying to get soemething for nothing. I purchased a groupon and was hesitant at first. But once I viewed the website and made an appt, I immediately upgraded my service to a full highlight and brow wax. The best experience I have ever had in a relaxing atmosphere. I referred all my co-workers and my whole family love it . They don't wont to go any where else. So for the negative comment, that's your lost. You win some and you lose some. The service at Beleza Couture Studio was so BAD and RUDE we never even made it through the door. When my wife first called to make an appointment for partial highlights the rude receptionist was so unprofessional and hard to understand my wife thought she dialed the wrong number. Then my wife was told the special offer we had for $50 could only be used for a haircut. At the top of the offer it states it is for $50 of hair services and says nothing about haircut only or any exclusions. So, I called back to talk to the owner and found she was the same rude receptionist my wife dealt with. After I explained my wife wanted partial highlights THE OWNER SAID SHE WOULD NOT HONOR THE DEAL even though it had NO EXCLUSIONS. She repeated it was only for a haircut. A $50 HIAR CUT? That’s no deal even if the customer service is great! She said she would call the promoter and fix her offer. Well, I called them and told them what happened; not only did I get my money back, but the staff said they would deal with Beleza too because the owner was being dishonest. DO NOT GO TO BELEZA COUTURE STUDIO! Later the owner called back, realizing her mistake and offered my wife 20% off any service. I said not only was that an insult when the original offer was 60% off; but that we would not ever go there and would be telling everyone we know about the horrible service at Beleza! Do you want someone this cheap and dishonest to cut your hair? Do you think they will listen to what you want? Do you think they will do whatever it takes to make you happy? The only answer is 'no'! I would not be surprised if all these other 5 star comments are written by the staff and friends or family of this dishonest owner. I starting going to Beleza Couture when they opened a month ago, and I love my stylists Trixie & Deanna. They do a nice job styling my hair, coloring, educating me about healthy hair, and always giving me good advice about how to take care of my hair & keep it looking healthy; being that I have color & highlights. They are both Cosmotology educators for a Cosmotology school in the Triangle.\r I recommend this salon for everyone who loves a stylist that knows how to take care of your hair, a nice atmosphere and have it looking great when you walk out.
