Our family recently celebrated the university graduation of one of our children at Beach Watch Restaurant. We visited your restaurant the week before and spoke with Elisabeth about holding the event there for 15-20 people. We agreed that the group would order from the Sunset Menu between 4:00 and 6:30 p.m. Each person would be responsible for their own alcoholic beverage costs. All non-alcoholic beverages, appetizers, entrees and desserts would be put on a single check and paid for by the hosts. A reservation was made for 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2010, preferably for seating outdoors. At no point were we told that we would need to vacate the premises by a given time. \r

Guests ranging in age from 11 to 75 arrived between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m. Every guest ordered beverages, appetizers, entrees and dessert from the Sunset Menu. The serving staff was helpful and polite, and the view from the outdoor deck was unbelievably beautiful. Everyone was having a lovely time (despite the almost inedible food) and celebrating the occasion, our family and friends. \r

Imagine then our surprise when you very rudely approached individuals in our group at about 7:00 p.m. and told us we needed to leave immediately because our “time was up.” At that time we had just finished dessert and the tables had not yet been cleared. We were not being noisy or causing any kind of disturbance. Most importantly, the restaurant was practically empty (now we know why), other than our group. We therefore could not understand what was causing this turn of events. This was so unexpected that the first guests you approached thought it must be some type of practical joke. When various members of our group tried to get a reason and object to your continued demands that we leave, we were told that on the “web site it stated the time limitation.” We have since gone on the Beach Watch web site and the only reference to a time limitation we find is that food can only be ordered from the Sunset Menu between 4:00 and 6:30 p.m., which we did. \r
\r
At the very least we feel others should know that at Beach Watch the view of the Atlantic Ocean and the company you are with will be the only things to enjoy. The food was mediocre and the overall experience left a bad taste in our mouths. \r

Please be advised that we will be telling our family, friends, co-workers, and posting this review for your restaurant on every rating service we are aware of: If you are looking for a venue where the great food, beautiful ambiance and good service combine to create a pleasant dining experience, DON’T CHOOSE BEACH WATCH in Dania Beach! \r
