Technician Alain was very professional and knowledgable. We would definitely have him work on our system again. He addressed our problem and explained what he was doing clearly. The email coupon was influential in our decision to call Bay Cities again. We considered calling another company, but went with Bay Cities because of the coupon. more

Keith T saved it all 6/27/2016

We were very frustrated that the previous technicians (we are on service contract) ignored the outside compressor and allowed probably years of leaves to build up around and inside the units, causing the circuit breaker to trip. Today Bay Cities sent out Keith T who immediately saw the situation and completely cleaned it up so the 2 units were purring. Not only did he do such a good job but took the time to sit with me and help me create a plan to minimize the issue for the future. So bravo to Keith T and Bay Cities or Reliance for good hiring! more

Very pleased with response and service. 6/23/2016

Beginning with the dispatcher (Terry?) on a hot Sunday morning who responded to the urgency of my request, she found Walter who came at the promised and expertly diagnosed the problem. He explained the issues with my AC and got the system working again. He returned the next day to complete the necessary work. I was very pleased with the timely response I received and the work that was done. more

Great service 6/7/2016

I requested Silvestre to clean our A/C when I called Bay City this year since he had done a good job last year. I am happy with Silvestre because he takes time to explain what's going on with our A/C and what needs to be done. We used to use Bay Cities Furnace and Air Conditioning for years before we decided to take our business elsewhere. Our last experience with the technician that they sent out was just awful and it was such a horrible experience that we decided we definitely would never use these guys again. We have found another company and I can safely say that we will NEVER be coming back to these guys and their incredibly rude technicians. more

Careful and well-done work 2/23/2016

The most recent visit from Bay Cities Furnace and Air Conditioning was wonderful! The whole visit was very positive and I really like the company. I have been using them for about 10 years now, and I have stayed with them because they are careful and they pay attention to what they are dealing with. Most recently, we are dealing with a heater that doesn't seem to work properly. They came out and didn't charge for the visit because they were just looking to find out what was going on. Keith was the technician who came out, and he has come out once before. He was talking with me about what the issue was and he seemed very interested in the problem. He really seemed to care about what was going on and he said I couldn't have a furnace that works like that. It was a very good visit and I am glad whenever they come. The people at Bay Cities Furnace and Air Conditioning know what they are doing and they are careful and considerate. more

Professional and friendly, but pricey. 1/26/2016

We had Bay Cities come in for a gas heater repair so they gave us a couple of different quotes on different options. The prices seemed a little on the high side. The only real issue I guess was that they had to bring in a different team to come out for a second time. They had to come out twice to give us full estimates. We had someone else give a quote for the basic repair and it was cheaper so we ultimately went with them. However, Bay Cities were professional and friendly. The second estimate visit was late though, but it wasn't really a big deal. I ended up paying Bay Cities the assessment fee, but didn't have any actual work done from them. more

Got quick and thorough check of my furnace from one technician, but I never got a follow-up from someone who could give me a AC quote. Someone else from Bay Cities had visited a few weeks prior and gave me an informal and very high quote for a new AC and replacement furnace; there was no follow-up with a written quote. Quotes from other companies were significantly lower. more

It was easy to do business with Bay Cities Furnace in Santa Monica. We told them what we thought we needed, they made some great recommendations and everything works great! Pros: Listened to what we wanted and delivered! Cons: None more

Worst worth ethic imaginable. 3/11/2008

I am a first time and last time customer from this company. I called for an estimate and went through with a very expensive installation, only to have countless problems with my heating and air conditioning system. Their technician was late and unprofessional, constantly on the phone, griping and fighting with what appeared to be his girlfriend. I called their office, only to be rudely spoken to on the phone by their secretary Sharol. I would not recomment this company and their services to anybody. Save your money and save some grief. The owner Neil Hammond wasnt any help either. I am contacting the my lawyer about this. Pros: None Cons: Everything, the rude, and uneducated secretary. more
