Husband and I have only own Subarus 8/3/2011

I am writing this email to give a compliment to your sales and service department. My husband and I have only owned Subaru's, so naturally when we decided it was time to trade in our 08' Outback we went looking for another. We purchased a 2011 in October from your dealership. We experienced a bit of difficulty mechanically with it. We brought it right into your service department and had them look at it. The service department did their best to remedy the issue. Obviously, we were discouraged because we love the way Subaru's drive and we knew that something was not right. Joe Newton- what can we say, he listened to me many times and worked with us every step of the way to get us into a new Outback. He came in on his day off to test drive my car with me and he listened to my husband, who wasn't as nice as I was. He did so with a sincerity that is a credit to your dealership. After a long process and discussions with Karen Quinn, who was also fantastic, Subaru with no questions asked agreed to buy the car back. Two days after the agreement, Chris Ledoux in sales called me. He listened to me, answered and returned all of my calls in a timely manner and was able to get me the car I wanted after searching and searching. We were able to test drive the new Outback for a couple of days, Chris called me to check in during this time. We felt valued and heard. When we arrived to finalize the process, we brought our young son who is 4. He was a bit temperamental at the time. Chris was awesome, he read and explained the manuals with him and spoke to us while he was doing it. He really made us feel so great! He was nothing but professional, genuine and he showed us that he valued his customers. We love our new Outback! It is the car that we know to drive! Please pass this email on to Chris and Joe and if you can get it to Karen Quinn at Subaru of America that would be great. Thank you for your time. more

Customer service one expects 7/27/2011

My husband and I purchased a 2008 Subaru Tribeca from Issa on July 1, 2011. We had to write in to tell you how wonderful an experience we had with your dealership. Issa had met us with the most professional and calming way so we felt NO pressure on us at all. We had previously shopped and we're unsatisfied with the salespeople not being able to find us what we we're looking for. Issa listening to us and immediately knew just what we we're looking for. We fell in love with the Tribeca and the professionalism so we put a deposit on the car. The next day we met with the financial rep (we do not remember his name) he also went out of his way to explain in detail everything we needed to know about financing a newer car. He answered any questions we had (we had a lot it's been 11 years since we financed a car). This is the kind of customer service one expects in today's world but rarely gets. Please make sure they both are given a pat on the back (or a free lunch) for giving us this positive experience. We will be sure to recommend Bertera Subaru to friends and family in the future. more

Cultural diverse staff 7/26/2011

Sales person was very knowledgeable about all the vehicles on the lot and was not pushy in any way. Everybody on staff (sales, finance) worked well together to keep waiting time down and price down. Cultural diverse staff, which doesn't mean they all have to be all races but knowledgeable about likes/dislikes of various cultures. Our sales person had the radio on the Spain station prior to our test drive. This felt like he cared about us and our culture. more

Buying with Bertera Subaru... as in the past... it is amazing that Raz and his team have ALWAYS exceeded my expectations. As I mentioned, over the past 16 years I have bought 15 cars from Raz (since 1996) even though I have never met him or walked into the show room. Every one was discussed, purchased and delivered to my home... that is in itself a refreshing way to do business... and the repeat business is the mark of a trust worthy and professional team. DO NOT BUY YOUR VEHICLE FROM BERTERA 4/11/2011

I purchased a car from Bertera and brought it back to them twice WITHIN 30 days. Each time they said nothing was wrong with it and told me to bring it to Toyota, ""they would say the same thing"". So I brought it to Toyota and at the time I brought it to them it went over 30 days. It turns out the car needed a new engine. I was stuck dealing with a lawyer for a year and had to get another reliable car to drive in the mean time. After a year of dealing with a lawyer I only got $1000 while the new engine cost me $6000. I had to save up enough money to replace the engine and at the same time pay two car payments and insurance on both cars. Another year went by and I was still not able to sell the car by itself so I had to trade both of my cars in for one car. Now, years later I'm basically still paying for two cars due to all of the negative equity, and will be until my car is paid off. Do not buy from Bertera, they ruined my life. more

Beware - don't go 3/27/2011

The worst dealer I have EVER gone to. Had seen a used car on line, called to ensure that it was still there before making the 1/2 hour trip to look at it and take a test drive before deciding to buy. When I got there and asked for the sales rep I was told to ask for, I was informed by the sales person who greeted me that he would take care of me. Stated what car I was interested in and would like to take it for a test drive. He said that before we went for a test drive he wanted to know exactly how much I was willing to pay for the car. I gave him my price, he went off to the manager and came back with a price $3,000 higher than the internet price and that I could only get that price if I bought it over the internet. The price they quoted me was also higher than the red tag sales price that was on the car itself! more

The best dealer I have ever gone to. I drove 2 hours to go see Chris Ledoux, specifically. I am in love with my Subaru 2011 WRX. I really did my research, and this is, hands down, the best Deal and service in a Subaru dealer you will find from New Hampshire to Delaware, and everything in between. This car makes me want to drive, and think about it when I'm not. more

Harrasment 2/27/2011

First, let me say that I rarely write these things. I was interested in a honda crv at this dealership two months ago. I made a fair offer on the vehicle over the phone, and the business manager agreed. He then told me that someone else was coming to view the car, and that I better put down a deposit over the phone. (High Pressure Sales). I would not, and two days later the car was of course still available. I spoke with Chris when I called back and he said he would get back to me in a couple of hours. Two days passed. I called and spoke with Naomi, who said he was busy clearing snow off of cars. I did not hear back from them for two weeks, and in the mean time, bought a great CRV that I love. more
