Competition is a great thing in the national book market. Unfortunately for Barnes & Noble, Borders has them beat. In addition to being up on McHenry rather than near the Freeway, I find the staff inaccessible. Translated - that means they like to hide. It's not always easy to find what I'm looking for, they don't enough seating and they have an entrance into a Starbucks that tends to be populated by punk teenagers. The restrooms frequently are not clean. Honestly, this is the only book store I have ever visited where I walked into a restroom and was greeted by a turd on the floor.
