I recently had a very poor experience at this Barnes & Noble. A very disagreeable woman (whose name/handle appears to be MJ on my receipt) waited on me. I will say, it was near to store close but the store was still open. Hearing the store-closing announcement, I brought my purchases (which totaled over $100) to the checkout desk. She did not greet me, began to ring me up, and then snatched my parking validation ticket out of my hand. I'm glad she stamped it, but every action was like pulling teeth.\r

With definite attitude, she asked me if I was a member of their B&N program. When I replied that I didn't know and asked if it was a free membership, she replied "no" and then didn't explain anything further. When I got home later, my receipt said I could have saved over $20 on my purchase if I were a member. Since I have discovered it costs $25 to become a member and I'm a voracious reader, I would have purchased it. I will also point out that there was no line the entire time
