Believe all the negative reviews, they got me for $75. Horrible service, my 8 year old can put together a better meal than chef Pam can. Total tourist trap, stay away and eat at Alberto's next door. more

The owner clearly preys on tourists. He was fidgety just like someone on something and just didn't seem right to us. The menu items are excessive and not accurate at all. He sat there and proclaimed how great and fresh everything was but when our food came out it looked like it had been a display item for the last several years... it tasted that way too. The portions were extremely small and so overly priced that I feel ashamed of myself for even spending that amount of money on something I would compare to larva laced fecal matter... My children probably won't be able to go to college now because of how much our bill was. Anytime we mentioned anything he did not want to hear he became very combative and disrespectful. I kept thinking I was going to wake up from this nightmare but unfortunately never did... My life will probably never be the same :( I really don't know how this guy has stayed in business at all because I don't see how there is any way he has repeat customers... he's clearly a vulture who preys on tourists that come through Hurricane looking for something to eat. My recommendation is that everyone who has had a bad experience with this restaurant needs to contact the City of Hurricane to make a formal complaint against this guy to get him and his business removed so it doesn't continue to do damage to the city. I wouldn't even say this but I have read negative review after negative review and see this is clearly a problem. Just to set some context to this review, I have never posted an online review on any company before. This experience was so disturbing that I really feel a civil duty to make sure anyone who is looking into finding a place to eat while visiting Hurricane does not go here. Don't put you or your family through what we went through... I really feel like I wasted a part of my life away as well as my life savings. Gotta run... I feel the horrible aftertaste coming back up. more

Please checkout other places for reviews. This has to be the owner for most of the reviews. This place is a joke. A five star wannabe with a half star attitude and food. I have had much better food at many other places than here. more

Great tasting food. I live here locally and go in all the time. It is pricey thats a definite downfall. But i realize that before i go in. But by far has the best food around. The only thing i would say is lower your prices so the locals have a place to hang out and enjoy. Cause it adds up to spend $75 for lunch 2-3 times a week. I highly recommend you check it out though... more

I went to high school in Hurricane and was back in town for a family reunion. The sign and setting for Barista’s caught my attention and I pulled over immediately and went inside. The owner personally brought me to a great table and discussed menu options with me (after we spoke for a bit). He warned me that the prices were high, but he assured me the food was the best. I ordered the Ahi Tuna platter which came with a mango-papaya salad that was out of this world. I finished it off with one of the best espressos I have every had the pleasure of drinking. This place was awesome–the best food I have had in the area, and possibly the state. It was expensive, but the personal service, atmosphere and absolutely top-quality food was well worth it. Wish this place had been around when I lived here! more

wow this is the best food and service the bread is made from scratch the steaks are usda prime, fresh halibut ,swordfish ,sushi grade salmon,yellowfin suswhi grade ahituna handmade newyork style thincrust pizza, also handpressed gourmet burgers,real salads,handmade chili and handmade 14% icecream made on location,and they take all credit cards,its clear that all of the local haters have spent a lot of time begging people not to go in and find out the truth at baristas. they allways complain about the price price price price price price i mean one lady says she never even went past the door but goes on and on on on on on on about nothing,now why would she spend her time,i recomend she reads up on her bible.then you have little kids etc comparing fine food to fast food, i mean what a joke, they must think everybody only cares about how much cheap food and free drinks and service they can steal, they must not even realize that there are millions of people like me that want high quality and service and know that you only get what you pay for, i hope some day they have that in there lives. keep teaching and changing the world baristas more

As a native Southern Californian, I can testify to the imported So-Cal fast-lane attitude, which is of course similar to the one we all have out here... so if you are a by-the-book, conservative, reserved Morman or other Hurricane native, as well as easily intimidated or a bit on the meek, gentle side, this MAY NOT be your first choice for an eaterie. However, if you are looking for excellent food, FOR A PRICE THAT YES, DOES REFLECT THAT QUALITY, you are in the right place. This place has served numerous celebrities, TV food show hosts/critics, car/bike clubs and a myriad of other high-profile groups and individuals, and has not done so because they didn't earn it. The owner, Steve, is aggressive and proud, but it is not meant in any way negative whatsoever, it is simply the acquired tenacity of one who has personally seen the rise and success of several of his own businesses. Bottom line, if you aren't meek, and want some killer grub that you will indeed pay some more for - *shock/disbelief* - head by Barista's. more

I live in town, and I've hear some of my friends complain about the prices here, however when I went in with my husband I absolutly loved this places. The prices weren't that bad considering how good the food was. They have a great atmosphere here. more
