Just got ripped off by Banfield, signed up for the wellness care for my dog and you must remember the anniversary date if you don't read the fine print and call the 800 number in the contract within the first year, west coast time to California you will automatically be charged $289 for another year. We had thought when we were at the store and told the girl their we did not want to renew it was taken care of. You must call the 800 number in the contract in fine print to cancel. Then we received a phone call and when I answered it I was put on hold for three minutes and then was told I was going to be sent to a collection agency and I must pay the person on the phone $50. Very unprofessional you would think with todays technology they could email or call you to notify you. They call you and ask if you want to get your dogs groomed or remind you of an appointment. This is a scam don't get ripped off like me. more

HORRIBLE AND INCOMPETENT STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS! 6/5/2012

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience I've ever had with a vet. I've had dogs my whole life and I've been to different vets, and this is the absolute WORST vet I've ever been to. I have an anxious 12 pound dog without a mean bone in his body and they were scared of him and treated him as though he was a huge aggressive dog. They didn't try to get to know him or comfort him they just came right in saw he was shaking and trying to climb in my arms to get away from them and they grabbed him and put an extremely tight and too small of a muzzle on him causing him to panic. I've never seen my dog in such distress If they were competent and had a clue about dogs they would have known to let him sniff them and to talk to him trying to comfort him and relieve his anxiety. Not man handle him and cause him even more anxiety. I went to this vet because my old vet raised their prices a lot. I will NEVER again go this horrible place I will pay the extra costs and stick with Buckeystown Vet where they know more

STAY AWAY FROM BANFIELD & SAVE A LOT OF MONEY READ THIS! 5/24/2011

In my personal opinion, it's better to buy pet insurance such as TRUPANION and take your dog elsewhere (to any vet of your choice).\r \r My dogs ACL tear was misdiagnosed as a sprain, she was given medication by a newbie Vet who severely under prescribed for her weight and did nothing for the severe pain (told to us by my dogs Orthopedic surgeon). \r \r Then, we found out that Banfield does not do ACL repairs (a $3,500.00 surgery) although their pet policy says it covers surgery at a discounted rate. The policy says nothing to include what operations they do not include, leading a person who buys the policy to believe that all surgeries are covered at the discounted procedure rate. \r \r Also, If you check their prices for medications and procedures, Banfield is totally overpriced compared to other regular Veterinarians!!! I guess they do this to compensate for the free office visit included with the plan. If your pet needs a procedure/surgery: Go get a quote from other vets for the same pr more

Great Service! 11/9/2005

The vets are wonderful here! We bring our cat and dog here and are always treated well. They also have plans you can sign up for which saves you tons of money! We have our pets on it and they get 2 comp exams a year and all their shots for a low monthly price. It's clean and everyone is very friendly! They are even open on the weekends! more
