Almost lost my dog Thanks toDr. Grosshart 7/23/2014

Well where do i begin. Lets start with the fact that Dr. Grosshart should NOT be practicing anywhere! He is unprofessional and has no idea what he is doing.(I question where he got lic to do this cracker jack box maybe). On more than one occasion i tried to address a concern i had with my puppy at the time and all he could do was look at me and laugh. I made it a point to make my appointments with the other vet since she is great and so is the staff. Just recently i had an emergency situation with my dog (min pin 6lb) he was clearly not doing well shaking obvious sign of a fever . Was not eating or his normal hyper self just slept all day.\r when i took him in I address my concerns which also was couldn"t touch his back legs they could take his temp \r he wouldn't let them. So Dr. Grosshart decides on a pain shot without knowing what the problem was i told him that woldn't do anything for fever. When they finally got his temp 105. I told him i think something might have bite him o more

Good value, competent care 5/23/2013

I've been going to Banfield for over a year as a subscriber. People need to realize this is a corporate-owned vet. They see a lot of animals, and don't have a lot of time per patient. Dr. Grosshart and Cochran are professional, polite, but Dr. Grosshart in particular is to-the-point. If you want conversation, there are concierge vets in town that provide those services, and their prices will reflect that. For the money, you get competent care at Banfield in Naples. more

saved my best friend 5/8/2011

all his staff is amazing.. I cannot beleive all they did for my dog when he was attacked by another dog. His ear was ripped and his side was bleeding and his tail had a hole in it. The first thing they did was take my dog and start working on him, they told me to come back and while they were putting in IV's and drugs (dont know what) they told me they max would be fine. I never noticed the whole ripped in his neck, the next thing I know he is in surgery and the receptionist and nurses are giving me updates on whats going on. I can tell you I thought I lost him, but being my max, he pulled thru. when he was all shaved up and stiched up they let me come back and see him, he wasnt even awake and they talked to me as i sat holding my dogs head crying. I have never been to a place where the people care so much for the animal as the people they deal with. I can never thank them for what they did. cost asside,( I would have paid hundereds more) they were great. gave me discounts and stayed more

best doc in town 5/8/2011

over the past 8 years i have taken over 10 animals to this clinic. he has litteraly saved the lives of 3 of my dogs and 2 of my cats. Yes this did cost me money but he and his staff went aabove and beyond what any other clinic would have done for that price. my last dog witch was adopted as a baby with a desiese called leptospreosis would have been dead if not for them. they took one whole month and made this dog well he is now a thriving 2 year old and thats just one of the many things they have dont for me and mhy animals. most people dont relize that it costs a lot of money to take care of pets they want their care for free i understand that he needs to be paid for his services. i cannot say enough what this man done for my family. more

Worst vet experience ever! 12/7/2010

Taking my dog to Banfield in Naples was the worst vet experience I have ever had. Taking your beloved pet to the vet is never a joyous occasion, but Dr. Alan Grosshart makes it worse. He most certainly is not an animal lover, and got easily frustrated with my 6 moth old yorkie because she was scared and didn?t want to be still while he was examining her, instead of comforting her he yelled at her to be still. What was most appalling to me however was that he yelled at me, I asked if they did the free first time vet visit like some Banfield clinics advertize and his response was ?WHO TOLD YOU THAT, TELL ME WHO TOLD YOU THAT WE DID FREE VISITS?!?!? He made me feel like a child who was in trouble, I will NEVER go there again! more

Dr. Grosshart should not be allowed to call himself a veterinarian 9/13/2010

My dealings with Dr. Alan Grosshart of Banfield Naples has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I've always dealt with a vet that loves animals and recognizes that our pets are part of the family. Dr. Grosshart is rude and unprofessional. If you care for your pet at all, I would highly suggest visiting the Banfield at Coconut Point where you and your pet will get the treatment you deserve. more

Banfield The Pet Hospital? - Naples is FANTASTIC!!! 12/28/2009

Dr. Grosshart is a terrific doctor. We had a very sick dog and other "doctors" gave us two options: pay THOUSANDS of dollars for exploratory surgery or put our fur-baby down. Dr. Grosshart was our last hope. His prices are incredibly reasonable; he's open seven (7) days a week and he truly cared about our animal as well as our concerns. The staff is caring, friendly and they have made us feel like part of their family. We can't thank them enough for their extraordinary care and compassion. We will be forever grateful for everything he and his staff have given to our family. more
