I had the combination massage during the spa week and it was amazing!!! The whole staff is friendly and all there services deserve an A plus!! I recommend this spa. more

Happy Hour Combo Massage 10/14/2011

As we were driving up Landis St and saw the residential homes, my daughter first said, it's over here? But the moment we walked in, the atmosphere, ambiance was great! Bris (I think that's her name) was great! I love your happy hour prices!! more

Construction 10/11/2011

I really did enjoy the spa overall. It is just that there was construction going on that was very distracting, and for some reason it effected the shower so it would not work. The seaweed wrap I had was not thoroughly rinsed off because the technician had to do it by hand. However, both of the women I had perform services were quite wonderful and talented. The owner told me that they expand every year. That actually stopped me from wanting to come back. It is such a nice, beautiful, intimate spa, and the construction just spoiled that a bit. I would not want to keep going knowing I would get attatched and yet construction would be going on every year. more

The Jewel of Chula Vista 10/7/2011

You feel a sense of relaxation the minute you walk through the door of this lovely house turned spa. You almost want to keep this jewel a secret as if you discovered it all on your own. But how lonely it would be not to share the peacefulness and beauty this spa excludes the minute you walk through the door. It is definitely the best place to have your permanent makeup done. Go once and you will be a forever client...because of services, afforability and knowledgable staff. more

GET PAMPERED 10/4/2011

I had a microdermabrasion facial and my daughter had a teen acne facial. Not only did our skin look so refreshed after but we felt so relaxed. We could have layed there for hours. I have been going to Balensi's for years now and I still get the same personal treatment as I did with my very first facial. And their prices are reasonable for a spa that treats you like a celebrity. more

Unhappy with Permanent Makeup Brows 10/4/2011

I went to Balensi Spa to get my brows done with permanent makeup. When I left the spa my brows looked great, but within a few days they looked terrible. One brow has thin lines, the other has thick lines with large gaps between. Neither extend to the full length of my real brows. I returned to the spa for a re-do within 2 weeks and was told I probably slept on my brows and that I would need to pay for a re-do! I could not believe what I was hearing! I complained and they finally gave in a did a re-do at no charge. Again when I left the spa the brows looked great...but within a few days they looked terrible AGAIN! I will never return to Balensi's Spa for ANY treatment. more

Great service and other tpoic 10/1/2011

Hi Balensia, I was puzzled about not being able to use my gift card. What I have been told is that the state of California has a law that states gift cards are not coupons but a money value and can be redeemed like cash. I am still investigating. hopefully we can both learn more about this. My service was great! more

Pamper Yourself Treatment 10/1/2011

Whoa....just had a spa day with my girlfriend and treated ourselves to a "Pamper Yourself Treatment". I feel sooooo beautiful! Can't beat the price and it is so convenient, yet I feel like I am at a spa in Hollywood. Loved it! more

Good Specials!!! 1/3/2011

Decided to try this spa since they're having these great specials. Had a facial and it was fine, nothing that extraordinary. I'm use to having a little more a massage on my neck and shoulders when getting facials. The place is very cute, nice & clean, and the staff are very nice. Plenty of stret parking, but you have to pay either at a meter or a lot across the street. I will most likely go back and try a massage. more

Relaxing day at the spa 3/21/2010

I went during spa finder week for a microdermabrasion facial and massage and I walked out of there feeling so good. My face felt really smooth and my body so relaxed. I stopped by my sister's in laws work down the street right after and told them about it and they made appointments for the next day. I really love this place and the people are so friendly. more

Decent Spa 3/10/2010

I took advantage of the spaweek deal and checked out this spa. I was impressed when I walked in, the spa feel I felt right away. The nice, fresh scent of a lemon. Lorena, the co-owner did my facial. She was very experienced on skincare, so I felt comfortable right away. Although she didn't remove my black head when I specifically told her I have one. I didn't see it until I got home. I felt she got cheap on putting products on me. I've been to different spas before where they would cleanse, exfoliate, steam and put all the products after...but she didn't. I didn't think she put any sunblock, serum or even moisturizer on my face. It felt the session was short. Maybe because it was discounted? Although I was very satisfied on my massage which was done by Dora. She was a very pleasant lady and knew exactly what she was doing. I would give this place another chance if there is another deal. more

Tucked away 3/4/2010

I was given a gift card by a client and gave Balensi a try. For being a smaller scale spa, the staff and its services were wonderful. My facial was great, and the extractions were painless!!! Would definetly go back again. more

Great Place! 2/17/2010

I just had a massage today and it was wonderful. I decided to go to this place due to the reviews and found it was a great decision. The atmosphere was nice and calm. From the minute I entered i was greeted by a charming receptionist, was offered water and shortly after was taken to the massage room. The masseuse was very nice. She talked enough to make me feel comfortable in a new location, yet not too much that it interrupted the ability to relax. I would definitely recommend this location. It is reasonably priced for the services you receive and the staff is great. I even received a little good bye/thank you gift! I will definitely be returning to see Felicia again more

Love The Spa 9/26/2009

I have been visiting the spa for about 5 years now off and on. My husband knows I love the quaint, comfortable feel of the spa. The owner and staff are so wonderful and friendly. I have had messages and facials and loved every moment of it. The chocolate expierence is OMG!!. Thank you all for providing this service in Chula Vista. I will be back. Tracey Jones more

Jewel finder 6/5/2009

I chose Balensi spa for my massage based on comments from previous clients and I was not dissapointed. I was treated to such a wonderful, relaxing deep tissue massage, I did not want to leave when it was over. The service was wondeful and the ambiance is relaxing and inviting from the moment you walk in. The cookies and treats are just cherry on the top. I would highly recommend this little jewel hidden in the middle of downtown Chula Vista. I am just sorry I didn't know about it sooner. I invite you to give Balensi Spa a try. I promise you will not be dissapointed...from a very satisfied customer. more

Great for Price 4/27/2009

Im a single working mom and i'm not able to schedule stuff far in advance. I really, really needed a massage. I showed up on a Friday afternoon and they were able to take me in last minute. The combo massage was GREAT. I used a Spafinder gift card and was able to pay for the massage and tip with it. The staff was wonderful. I will definately go back. I told all my girlfriends in CHula Vista about it. more

I CAME TO THIS SPA FOR LAZER HAIR REMOVAL. I HAVE ALREADY BEEN TO 4 OTHER DIFFERENT SPA FOR THE SAME PROCEDURE. I CAN HONESTLY TELL YOU THAT THIS WAS BY FAR THE BEST. LORENA TAKES EXTRA CARE TO MAKE YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE. I HAVE ALREADY RECOMMENDED 2 PEOPLE HERE AND THEY BOTH AGREED WITH ME THAT THIS WAS ALSO THE BEST PLACE THEY HAVE BEEN TO. more
