Balance Day Spa

My sister and I have been spoiling my parents for the last four years at Balance Day Spa on Father's day weekend. Their service is the best. I have been a couple of times myself. I give them a five star for their great service.\r Cathy Harris more

I've been to Balance Day Spa several times and always enjoy it. The only complaint was once when a manicurist tried to tell me that my nails were too short to get a French Pedicure. She also didn't do as good of a job as I could have with the manicure. On my next visit I mentioned this to the manicurist (who was excellent) and she informed me that there's no such thing as having nails too short for a french manicure/pedicure. Needless to say the person who was too lazy to do the french pedicure no longer works there. Also, MJ gives the best massages. more

I enjoy balance because the prices are still reasonable with the feeling of being in relaxing environment more

My first spa experience was at Balance Day Spa. I have been a loyal customer for the past three years. From the first moment you step foot into the waiting room, the sounds of the waterfall take you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The services are always very relaxing and therapeutic to the soul. The staff is a pleasure no matter who provides the service. I definitely recommend this spa to anyone who is looking to de-stress from the everyday grind of life's obstacles. more

This is a very nice spa with a clean environment and very polite staff. I visited through a spafinder gift certificate and was very pleased. I enjoyed the services offered and the best way I could describe it would be walking in from a hectic life and busy city and entering a relaxing and inviting space where you can temporarily forget about what's outside. I would definitely recommend this facility for their service. more

I would actually recommend arriving a little early for your appointment at Balance simply for a chance to relax thoroughly before your treatment even begins. There is a large waiting area with comfortable seating, aesthetically appealing decor and fountain and a variety of complimentary coffees, teas, etc. The massage itself was nicely done although a bit more intense than I am used to and the therapist did not share much information unless directly asked. Hours were very convenient as they were able to fit me in at 6:00 pm on a Saturday. I'm eager to try other services there. more

I will make this review short since I gave a long one on Google reviews: I had a horrible facial; I get facials almost every other month. I left with mask still on my face, extractions where done with fingers without gloves (beyond painful) made her stop, If you have been to a nice spa then they usually consist of a changing room with lockers - this spa didn't even show me or the other girls with me to the changing room we carried our things around in a basket. :o( And the comfy or relax room is nonexistent it is right in the middle of the floor almost.. Not very relaxing at all.. I was so upset I complained upon check-out, was spoken to disrespectfully. Wrote a letter to the owner explaining my disappointment and treatment and she again just justified her employees incompetence.. Read other reviews...l think this place hay day is over.They seem to be falling off ... I say do more research and go somewhere else and get your money worth.. Upon leaving I dropped a pretty penny to only hate that I even went there. Please try another spa... I give reviews all the time, I have never given a review this bad before.. Balance Day Spa is my favorite day spa in this area. They have a very relaxed atmosphere and are always incredibly friendly and professional. I have been to multiple locations and enjoy them all but my favorite is definitely the one in Kernersville. I frequent this location several times every month. I highly recommend all services but in particular the mani/pedi with nail tech Wendi. By far, the best looking and longest lasting I've ever had. Thank you Balance! more

I've been the Balance Day Spa several times since moving to Greensboro three years ago. I've had massage, pedicure, eyebrow waxing and a body treatment. They also have a location in Bulington where I've had a facial. Their staff is friendly; the facility is clean and the ambience is good. I prefer the waiting area in the Burlington location simply because it feels cozier, but maybe that just reflects the size of the facility. I would recommend Balance Day Spa to anyone looking for a regular place to frequent and for those days when you feel like giving yourself a treat! more

I just had to write and let others know Balance is a wonderful place to escape and be relaxed. I had a wonderful massage and facial. What a beautiful interior, I feel like I walked into an oasis. I stopped going for a while because it was so hard to get an appointment on short notice, but someone told me they opened some new locations so I go to the one in Burlington now. (I think there's one in Kernersville too.) The staff is really nice and they are open seven days a week, which is great for me because I am a teacher and spend all day saturday catching up and doing stuff with my kids so its nice to unwind at the spa on a sunday. I've had pretty much every service they offer at one time or another, my favorite is the hot stone massage, but that is only a special occasion treat for me. But I do get a lot of pedicures and waxing done there. The last time I was there I got an airbrushed tan before my sister's wedding that was July 4th weekend. I was impressed. It looked really natural, not orangy or streaky like the lotions, so I didn't have to look like a ghost at her beach wedding. Now I'm trying to talk my husband into getting us a couple's massage for our anniversary this fall. more

I use Bare Minerals make-up, and they never keep enough of their biggest seller in stock. I never had this problem with the Greensboro location. When going into the spa, or calling, they always tell you that you can be put on a waiting list for the make-up and they will call you. If they know this is a HUGE color everyone uses, shouldn't they keep more on hand? Just seems like they have an excuse for why they don't have products in their Kernersville Store. I would recommend going to take the drive to Greensboro. They have a better selection of make-up. Pros: Atmosphere is nice Cons: They never have items in stock more

My mother wanted some Bare Essentuals make-up and balance day spa was the only place we could get it locally. So, I ran her over and stayed out in the car waiting, and waiting, and waiting. She finally came bounding out of the building with a whole new look. Since this was her first purchase, they asked if she wanted to try it first and did her entire face. She looked wonderful, she acted like a kid and she took me in with her and they did mine too. The lady was so sweet and I loved every minute of it. This is a great place and we didn't even try any of the special things they do! more

I have been going to Balance since my sister got me a spa package for my wedding over 3 years ago. The staff has always been very nice. They have renovated and even waiting for your appointment is relaxing. I love the personal service. Amanda gives the best massage! I would recommend Balance to anyone who wants to relax. Do you ever feel the need to escape, but don't have the time to take a weekend trip? Well, you can escape to Balance Day Spa for an hour, half day or full day of pampering! What a place to go when you need to leave all of your worries behind. And it doesn't cost you an arm and leg to pamper yourself! I knew the owner long before Balance Day Spa was opened. She has stood by her standards to offer the best services for reasonable prices. She has expanded 2 times in her 10 years of service. I think this speaks for itself! It is definately a short escape from the day to day stresses of life. PROS: Privately owned and operated. CONS: None. more

This day spa is great. The staff is great and they work to make sure you are comfortable. The atmoshere in the massage room is so calming. The really take care of you here and make sure you have a wonderful experience. more
